Being a busy graduate student in Ann Arbor, I have auto insurance and renters insurance with State Farm in 2019 and 2020. JP and John work together to assist with my claims quickly, and my claims experience is great. The repair shop they recommended did a great job. They also help me make informed decisions on what coverage I choose when I decide what coverage I purchase. After that, every time I call JP to confirm my coverage in a particular scenario that came to mind, JP patiently and clearly explains which part of the coverage covers which damage in that particular scenario. After two years, I feel at home with them, and I have learnt a lot through these discussions since I didnt have time to carefully interpret the fine prints of the policy to the daily life.

John Avery is excellent, and I could not more highly recommend him. He walked us through all of our policy options for both home and auto, and he explained the pros, cons, and costs of each option. When I got into my first auto accident on a Sunday morning, he called me personally to help me through the steps of getting my car to a mechanic and eventually filing the claim. I feel safer and more comfortable knowing that I have him on my side in case of an emergency.

We were staying at a hotel in Louisville, KY when we woke up to a broken window on our vehicle. Even though it was an early Sunday morning, John answered his cell phone and immediately started the process of locating local glass repair shops and submitting our claim. John and his team stayed in contact until they knew our issue was resolved. Because of the recent update to our auto policy, there were no deductibles and we were eligible for reimbursement on any incurred costs to cover the window until fixed (Tape, Plastic, Cardboard, etc...).In addition to support like this, the long term assistance with all of our other insurance policies and Life Planning, would lead me to strongly recommend this Agency to anyone!

DO NOT GET INSURANCE HERE.......FRAUDS!!!! had full coverage through these people when I was in a minor fender bender last year. It was my first accident in over 15 years. They gave me $500 check and dropped me from their insurance claiming that I was too high risk for them to cover. The damages from the accident eventually totalled over $2300, so I have since spoken to an attorney. I also have since switched to Geico and found that they offer the same coverage for $316 less over a 6 month period. So unless your into throwing away your money DO NOT GET INSURANCE HERE!!!

I relied on John Avery to insure my rental home 2007-2015 in Ann Arbor while I lived out-of-state. I initially chose JA because they were responsive to my rate inquiries and also had the lowest cost for their coverage. Through the years theyve upheld their service standard and also minimally raised their premiums, much less than my other insurers year over year. And so I recently sold the home, however forgot to inform JA to cancel my policy. I contacted them some months later, and they retroactively refunded my unused premium down to the cent. I didnt even ask. On top of it all, they sent me a thank you card via post mail to thank me for my business. These actions go beyond normal business and speak to the character of the people that run JA. Theyve earned my trust, respect and all future insurance needs in Michigan. Thank you!

I have been a State Farm customer my entire adult life. A few years ago I was considering switching over to a cheaper insurance company like Esurance. However, I began researching other insurance companies on Consumer Affairs and I realized that Esurance has ~10 times more complaints per customer than State Farm, but its only ~10-15% cheaper. Other insurance companies, like Allstate, had fewer complaints per customer, but were much more expensive. I concluded that State Farm is about the best bang for the buck.John Avery is an excellent insurance agent. He really does a great job. Anything you need to get done gets done fast and efficiently. John checks up on us a few times a year to see how we are doing and if we have any questions or concerns and are satisfied with the service.When we got into a car accident a couple months ago, John immediately called us and took care of everything; he got the insurance money to us-- no problems. He ties up all the loose ends, dots all the is crosses all the ts and makes it easy for you. I highly recommend State Farm and John Avery for your insurance needs.
