I got my bridesmaids dress in a week before the wedding and needed a bit of work done for it to fit properly. I called Carol and left her a voicemail — after hours — telling her my situation. She immediately returned my call and allowed me to bring my dress in the next day. She’s detail-oriented and quick with her work. Finished my dress within a couple of days! Mrs. Speck was AMAZING!! Getting ready for my daughters 1st prom and so many things were going wrong... to spare you from our horror story, my daughters dress was saved by Mrs. Speck along with my sanity! Mrs. Speck got us in adjusted what needed to be fixed and altered, then in a couple of days we had a beautiful fitting gown! We adore Mrs. Speck, her sewing talents and her willingness to help someone in dire need!! I will definitely be doing business with her again! Thank you again for everything Mrs. Speck!!❤❤

I had a bridesmaids dress that did not fit!! It was absolutely too tight. She took that dress apart and worked absolute magic. I went from feeling nervous and uncomfortable to feeling confident and beautiful with the fit of my dress. She took a little extra fabric from my train to expand my sides and you would never be able to tell! She lengthened my zipper and adjusted my split so that it was more modest. This kind lady does phenomenal work. I didnt have any issues with my dress the day of the wedding like some of the other girls did that used another business. I highly reccomend Specks and will use her when needed for however long she plans to stay in business lol.

I took several tee shirts to Carol, to have them made into a blanket. I could not believe my eyes when I saw it, it was absolutely gorgeous! She did such an amazing job! She has made two blankets and several pillows for me. Every item she has done for me is perfect. And all done so quickly.Thank you so much Carol!

Not knowing where to go since just moving to the Anderson area I decided to use Specks sewing & Alterations due to the great reviews. Felt confident I went to the right place as soon as I talked with Carol. My dress for my sons wedding was done to perfection, done in time (just a week) and the price was great. Wont use anyone else!

Mrs. Carol was fantastic! I highly reccomend her for any alterations. She altered my wedding dress and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect on it, and she was very prompt and responsive to my texts/emails. Her services are very affordable and I trusted her over many others in the area with my dress. She also makes wine/champagne glasses and other small gifts, so if you need gifts for your bridesmaids or toast glasses, consider purchasing some custom made ones form her and supporting a local small business! She made one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning a smooth transition! Highly reccomend!

I wanted to wear the clothing I had altered before writing a full review to ensure I could be as thorough as possible. That said, I have absolutely no complaints. I had a pair of khaki pants hemmed and taken in. (I dont know if that is correct terminology but essentially the pants were too long and too loose).All communication (over the phone and in person) was professional and very friendly. I was able to communicate exactly what I was hoping to get out of the alteration. Additionally the turnaround time was less than a week and the price was absolutely reasonable . I couldnt ask or expect any more of a tailor or seamstress.After wearing the pants to work twice I can say with confidence that the job was done wonderfully. The pants fit perfectly and I personally appreciate that you cannot tell any alteration was done. The pants look as good, if not better, than they did when originally purchased!As a new resident to the area I am overjoyed that I was able to find a small business owner that was able to deliver such quality service! I will, without hesitation, be utilizing Specks again if and when the need arises.**For reference I noticed that Specks added a photo of the pants if you would like to take a look for yourself. I would add my own photo, but I am currently wearing them!

I called the week before my son’s wedding needing my dress hemmed. Mrs. Speck was able to get me in the next day! The dress was ready two days later and was perfect!

Mrs.Carol help my daughter and I at the last minute to do alterations for my daughters prom dress. She had her dress alterations done and ready for prom! Her dress was fit perfect! Her prices a reasonable. I definitely call her next time I or any of my family members need alterations!!
