Fair and thorough service, Kevin worked hard to get us in for a smog same-day, and made all the necessary repairs for our vehicle to pass smog. They work with older model vehicles and are knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Took my wifes 78 VW Type 2 Bus to be smogged. Staff was super friendly and super helpful. When the bus failed, they had some suggestions on what to do and even arrangements to help us get the bus back to them when the repairs were made. Great staff and great service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

This is my 4th car Ive brought in to these folks, bc they always tell me straight. It may not always be what I want to hear, but it is the truth. Their diagnostic price is a bit above average comparatively, but they do go above and beyond to find the actual issues. That saves time on labor, and unneeded repairs. You can trust these guys to get you in quick, and out in a fair amount of time. I will definitely bring my cars here in the future.

Seems they are the only place in the Redding area that has the machine to SMOG 1992 vehicle. No other companies want to keep their older testing equipment up and running. Friendly and prompt. Reasonable pricing too......UPDATE: Took my 1992 Mitsubishi Mighty Max into them to fix my air conditioner. Kevin even gave me a ride home about 10 mile round trip. When done, he came and picked me up. I was very pleased with the finished cost of the repair and service. Need a coat in 90 degree weather now...lol Walter does good work!

I get the smog inspections on my vehicles here. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I like this repair shop.

Busy little place, expect to pay more for labor costs but they have done some pretty big jobs on all of my vehicles. Engine replaced, labor $1999.00. I provided new engine and parts. Water pump and new belts $300.00. They can do just about anything and they dont make you feel like you were taken advantage of.

Awesome shop...My regular mechanic couldnt figure out what was wrong with my truck after doing ~$1400 in repairs (It was stuff that needed to be done, I approved everything first) but the problems just wouldnt go away. Decided to take it to the dealership to see if their techs could figure out the problem. The dealership fixed one problem (high idle/idle surging), but couldnt figure out anything else. Finally I took it to Steves auto, to see if they could figure out my trucks issues. Left it with them for a couple days, got updates as they were finding/fixing stuff, and then I got the call saying they fixed it. It passed smog excellently, and has actually never sounded and felt better. Definitely recommend going to them.
