I recently had to get a tooth removed and get an implant to replace it, which was all anxiety inducing, but the staff was friendly and patient with me. They walked me through the procedure step by step so I’d know what they were doing, and they were more than happy to answer any of my questions. Thankfully, the whole process was quick and easy, and recovery is going great :) I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a good dentist!

I was presented with a treatment plan that fit my timeline and insurance plans. Would not recommend. Came to get my teeth whitened. Called before to see how much it would be & then when i got there they said it would be more. Super expensive, bad service, & my teeth looked the exact same when i left.

What do you do when your crown falls out while youre eating? Pray hard that your dentist can see you right away! Dr. Malcolm did just that... and did a great temp fix for repair at a later date. My hygienist Cara is quick and thorough, always concerned about educating me in good, personal dental care. Truly appreciate their work!

Very happy I found this dental office. I have had A LOT of dental issues that have created a lot of anxiety about dental procedures. I felt comfortable and felt they explained all of my options. I did not feel like they tried to offer things I didn’t really need. I had a filling completed with very little pain and they took the time to listen to my concerns. The whole staff is very kind and welcoming. They make going to the dentist very comfortable. Also, they did a great job checking out my insurance so I would know what to expect with cost. Reminders are sent a few days ahead of your appointment, and a text the day of which is great. Covid protocols are strictly followed which I appreciate. I want went to a chain dentistry for a consultation and did not get a good vibe from the place. I sought out a company that had more experience in a good reputation. The staff is awesome all-around! I dont enjoy going to the dentist but if I have to go every six months, Im happy to be able to go to AK Advanced Dentistry. Theyre very professional and thorough but also real people who you can have a conversation with (insomuch as a conversation can be had while getting your teeth cleaned and x-rayed).

My hygienist was friendly, quick and kind. I didn’t have to wait, and was out quickly. The dentist did a thorough exam. Everyone works together to make the experience pleasant.

In the past I had dentists that put in fillings when they shouldnt have, that taught me a lesson that I need to pay very close attention to my own health and what is being done/advised. Dr. Malcum was my dentist at AK Advanced Dentistry, I had gone in for two crowns to be done, he assessed my tooth conditions as he was preparing them for crowns and ended up putting in only one crown and the other tooth was still good enough to be a filling. I really appreciated him putting my well being before the clinics profits. Also he was very relaxing to be around, and everyone is very kind.

I had a filling on 4/28/21 and I felt in good hands the whole time. Dr. Malcom let me know whenever I might feel a bit of pain and made sure the filling was just right so that my bite was even. I was in and out of there in an hour.

Great people, great dentistry - if you need a dentist, this is the place to go. Ana will greet you with a smile, Cara will have your teeth sparkling clean in no time, and Dr. Malcom will be there to gently & expertly fix any problem areas to your satisfaction.

Ive been going to Alaska Advanced Dentistry for about 25 years. The staff is what makes it the best; front desk, hygienist and dentists. The front desk staff is super friendly and answers all questions I have or gets back to me if they need to double check for accuracy, I also love the convenience of being able to text! Cara, has been cleaning my teeth since I was a teenager and there is no better hygienist in the state(according to my mom). Dr Malcom and Dr Thomas are both excellent dentists.My family has always had above par experiences when getting our teeth cleaned, getting wisdom teeth pulled or getting cavities filled. I would recommend anyone to go them!

Ever since returning from Iraq my nerves have been overly sensitive to touch/pain stimuli. Due to this sensitivity and fear of dental pain I have avoided the dentist for several years. Finally, I found Dr Malcom at Alaska Advanced Dentistry. He actually listened to my concerns, discussed options, and came up with a treatment plan that I agreed to. The day of my first treatment Dr Malcom was patient, gentle, very professional, efficient, and extremely skillful....absolutely the best dentist I’ve ever been to!!! Excellent dental clinic! Great communications, bedside manners, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Malcom was thorough and he identified important things other dentists had missed which may have saved several teeth. I transferred to this clinic because I heard an ad on tooth-clenching (bruxism) treatment and happy to say my migraines are reduced from options Dr. Malcom offered.

I used to loooove this place. I moved away for a couple years and came back and I just can’t recommend them anymore. I had a bad experience last time with an extremely condescending and pushy admin staff. I also feel that they will push any and every single procedure they could possibly find to recommend rather than try and work with you on what can wait and what needs to be done urgently. I wish I could afford what was recommended to me but at this point I have no idea if I even need it all. I have sought a second opinion and decided this office just isn’t what it used to be for me. Sad to go.
