I have appreciated the excellent service I have gotten with Alice Freeman with this year and last years return. She is knowledgeable, kind and cares about her clients as people, not just returns to be filed. Accurate and works hard to get me any deductions available to me.

Alice Freeman was our tax advisor. A really disappointing experience, I seldom write reviews, only if the business is outstandingly bad or good. Unfortunately, in this case bad. Our taxes took considerably longer than promised, I ended calling multiple times only to be told on 2 occasions they would be finished the next day , then not hearing anything until a week later.The last time I called she said she was done but had one last question. I asked her if we owed or were getting a refund. She told me a large refund and as it turned out we ended up owing a considerable amount (over $19,000 difference from what she stated). I am thinking she was barely getting started on our taxes.I hope this helps you avoid the same experience I had. And HR Block, please dont reply with some cut and paste canned response about calling your support team. In the time I have already spent calling and checking, I could have done the taxes myself.

Mr. McCoy is a fine gentleman. He is professional in his duties and takes the time to explain the steps he is taking on our behalf. I have never felt rushed in his office. These traits go a long way with my wife & I.

My family has been using a HR Block professional Advisor (not your normal HR Block Office, =more advanced tax advisors) for years. The higher level of service, assistance, and protection are completely worth it especially if you have a more advanced tax situation. I like the straight up known pricing, and knowing that should a problem or question with the IRS come up they will and have handled it for us with ease. Our current advisor and past ones for that matter have become friends that we enjoy seeing and discussing our situation with. Top notch service. It is also great knowing that H&R has our files readily at hand no matter where we move in the state or country. Aka peace of mind.The one caveat I will add is that we know that Block corporate makes their software not even easy for the advisors to use, which would make me hesitant for me to utilize their personal software should we ever choose to take our taxes back into our own hands.

The tax advisor, Joshua McCoy, is wonderfully knowledgeable; every time I work with him, I learn something. Mr. McCoy is also very encouraging to those of us with small businesses. Whenever I express a concern about a slow year, he explains things carefully and reminds me of what is going RIGHT with my business. It is really quite helpful.
