As his POA living in Pennsylvania, it felt overwhelming to think of how to accomplish preparing and selling his house in Anchorage. I met John Collinge on the phone by chance through Re/Max. He listened, and immediately became my “masterful” friend and realtor. His promptness and follow through were impressive. He knew all types of contractors to quickly resolve many different repair issues. Found a buyer for the truck and helped complete the sale process! At my request, he graciously assisted purging through personal belongings, then boxed up and shipped them down to our home. Since we were out of state, John was nice enough to handle all of the inspections, repairs, etc. for us so that the house was move-in ready by the time we arrived in Anchorage. He even sorted out the painter for us and made sure the work was not only complete but done right and that it was all finished before we were scheduled to arrive (I also highly recommend the painter John recommended. He did a great job!). I’ve never had such a painless experience buying a house before. I credit John with making it such a pleasant experience. I can’t say enough good things about him. John marketed and old our house which was located in a fairly remote area of Anchorage, making it difficult to show. Ive sold homes before but he made it extremely painless by setting us up with inspections, making recommendations on simple fixes that would make the house more marketable, arranging the open houses around our schedule, making sure signs were up/visible even during heavy snow falls. He was there ALL of the way through the closing process and we basically just had to come in and sign the papers. I would definitely use John again and would recommend him to anyone wanting to sell or purchase a home.

My wife and I just recently bought our first home through John.
