Scott is awesome! I have a Hot Springs spa that I purchased from Waterworks (my second tub from them) that developed a leak shortly after the warranty period ended. That was back in May. They couldnt find it, so wanted to hire a crane to lift it off my deck, then work on it in their shop for a few weeks, which would include digging out the foam insulation around the tubing. Was on their waitlist forever, but not moving much. Tub has been empty since May, couldnt use it all summer long.Called Scott in Sept as the temperatures started to drop, and he was very responsive, discovered a cracked jet, ordered it, and came back to install it. Only after confirming that this fixed the leak did he send me a bill, and it was way less than I had expected. Filled, hot, and functional again 2 days before the big early snowfall! Thanks, Scott, excellent job. Ill be calling you first for anything spa related in the future. Im done with those other guys!

Scott was responsive, knowledgeable and very fair about his pricing when replacing the pump on my hot tub. He’s the only person I would call for any of my hot tub needs and I would recommend him to everyone

Very awesome experience. I picked up a free spa on Marketplace and tried to get things going myself, burns out that it wasnt as easy as it looked. He came by and fixed my mistakes and I havent had a single issue since. The cost was literally what his competitors wanted just to look at it. 100% top notch service at an awesome price.

Scott is amazing. The sort of professional I doubted Id ever find in this town any longer: an honest, responsive service technician with problem-solving ability, initiative and a solid work ethic. Scott took my call on a Saturday afternoon. He was at my house the next day - a Sunday. A Sunday in January with sub-zero temperatures. Within two hours, Scott thawed my tub plumbing and quickly identified and repaired a problem that another Anchorage retail service had misdiagnosed -- and actually had made worse. I watched Scott work. No BS. No time-wasting. He arrived on-site with all the tools and equipment he needed. Did I mention, this was January? Below zero. Didnt faze Scott. He methodically and effectively thawed tub plumbing by hand, and took me through his next steps. When I realized that he intended to finish the work in one trip, I asked him, Wait. You are talking like you are going to fix this today...? And he said, Yeah. Thats my plan... Thats the objective. I was amazed. From previous, repeated service calls with another service, that sort of initiative was not what Id anticipated. Scott then quickly replaced a failed pump - which the other service had totally missed -- or ignored, Im not sure which -- despite three expensive house calls. Bottom line: Scott is skilled, knowledgeable and totally professional. I rarely post reviews like this. But Scott earned the highest possible reference from me.

Scott was able to fix the heating element in my old Coleman hot tub in a single visit and proved to be an honest and experienced repairman! He was good at communicating when he would be able to come over, which was pretty much right away, and he didn’t try to sell me any unnecessary repairs. His bill came in far below the other guys. I highly recommend saving his number to your phone!

Very personable guy, he explained everything to me as he went through the Jacuzzi and his prices and response time is much better than all the others.

Customer service is ALIVE and WELL in the Spa industry when you call Scott at Alaska Spa Repair! I can’t tell you how grateful I am that he was able to come out on a Saturday, mid winter an hour after I called frantic because, my hot tub was only 85* and I was leaving for a trip that night! I called the dealer we purchased the tub from (The Water Works Spa) the receptionist was rude and they wanted a credit card before they would book an appointment! They couldn’t get anyone over for days and by that time I’d be frozen up. Scott came out, diagnosed and switched out parts within 2 hours. Come to find out Alaska Spa Repair also sells Arctic Spa tubs and I wish I would have purchased a tub from him instead of dealing with years of crummy service from the other dealer. Thanks a million A.S.R!!

This is the first google review I have ever done, but I was compelled to do it based on the excellent level of customer service and the high quality of work. Scott was very knowledgeable and provided great tips on how to maintain my spa. He was VERY fairly priced and just went above and beyond in every way. I wish more businesses in Anchorage were up to like this!!!
