Called Apple to make a appointment, they said no appointment needed. Get to store, you need a appointment; great!!! 1 hour 30min later I’m at the appointment, wanna swap the 6 to a 12. The girl was pleasant an brought out the ph I asked for, but switching the 6 over to the 12, she couldn’t help (do it online). I waited 1hr. 30min for a girl to hand me a phone an take my 1300 bucks (just dumb) This Apple store is the bottom of the barrel. Think this is the last iPhone for me, I just can’t take the torcher they put you through just to shell out your hard earned money

Thursday day night I was doing update on my iPhone and it got stuck, froze up during update. I couldn’t do anything after couple tryouts.Next morning at 10 am I went to this apple store, explained the problem and emphasized that I need the phone for my business. They told me we are unable to do it today, next appointment will be Sunday at 2 pm. Seriously? I have to wait three day for an update?Very disappointed with them.I went to High frequency wireless and they did it one hour.

First of all Im not a fan of Apple anything. I went to the store to purchase my son a new IPhone and was greeted with a very helpful and intelligent man named Eli. He answered my barrage of questions and concerns without missing a beat. Definitely felt like a wanted customer and the customer service he provided was far more than I expected. Five star experience and two thumbs up from me!👍👍

I had an appointment for a technician to look at my beats headphones that I got not even a year ago. I was waiting so long for help when the store was empty and there was many free employees. First thing off their security approach me and said don’t touch anything at the store while I was looking at new iPhones. The tech offered to fix my headphones for $80 when brand new ones cost $90 which doesn’t make any sense paying that much to fix when you can get new ones for $10 more.. I’ve been an apple customer for almost 15 years now and I think this is coming to an end. The quality of their product is not fair compared to the prices we pay. I’m on vacation that including fishing and hiking while I needed those headphones the most on the trip and they broke on me just like any garbage headphones not beats! I got no help or assistance to make it up for me at the store and I left very upset.

I was sent on a adventure with the automated machine, someone at the anchorage store and a wonderful customer care person to make an appointment to pick up my product (because EVERYTHING I received said I need to too even the website) only to find out from the ANC store that I could walk in......

I have been in probably 7 or 8 times over the last 2 1/2 years. Services is prompt, On hand stock is good, genius bar underwhelming a couple of times. But overall an excellent retailer particularly when compared to other brands. Management really understands customer service.

I am so disappointed by Apple Anchorage store closed for no reason. I was going to buy an iPhone 12 but store closed until further notice. I understand we going through pandemic situation but you can’t just shut off the store completely and not even accepting appointment. This is unprofessional decision. Unfortunately in Alaska some businesses owned locally and if they had bad dreams they decide next morning to make stupid decision. Thanks for reading my post!!!

My teenaged son’s MacBook that he has to use for online learning this year started not charging the same month the 1 year warranty was up, we brought it to Best Buy, where we bought it and since it has no damage or anything spilled on it, was highly likely a manufacturing issueBut Apple won’t let the geek squad work on macs because they have a “contract”They said bring it to the Apple store and tell them when it started malfunctioning, we are in a pandemic, Apple should honor it...NOPE!By the time we were able to bring it to the Mac store it was just outside it’s warranty and even though the tech said it’s a manufacturing issue, we would have to pay $450 to have it sent inDuring a pandemic when my son desperately needs his computerWhat in The F! Ive never been to an Apple store before, so this experience I had there was absolutely fantastic. I was going there to buy a new MacBook, and everyone was very helpful with meeting my needs as a first time customer, and very friendly. Ill definitely be coming back there to shop in the future.

I’ve had very good service every time I’ve been to this store. You are asked to check in by a friendly associate rather quickly after entering the store. If you are there for a service they will give you an approximate time you will need to wait to see someone. I was lucky and was directed to a very helpful associate who took the time to answer all my questions. We also stayed for one of their presentations on photography and learned a few things.

Just wow, the ONLY store in the mall with 4 security guards. Once you tell the first two security guards you are going to the Apple store they ask if you are ok with them taking your temp, ok. Then you talk to the tech outside at the rope line. Only if you have an appointment or buying something can you pass to the second set of guards. Just wow, apple ID issue call apple support that if you call them they hang up on you after making you hold for 35 minutes, if they call you the automated system tells you that you did not pick up even when you you are yelling at it. I love Android!

Treated his customers as if they are very unintelligent and speak to them in very condescending manner. Apple Inc and their product has gone down the hill to include the people that works in their store especially this one only in Alaska. Thats why I am not buying anything Apple products anymore! Completely disappointed with technical support. You always need make appointment and wait. And at same time I always see 3-5 who ain’t do nothing. I feel those guys 80% of the time just walking around and it’s very frustrating. When you can’t receive technical support fast because nobody available, but you always see people who ain’t do nothing. Specially during COVID-19. I did not receive quality customer service. I bought in a phone for my employer to have it reset and documentation of proof of ownership. I did not have one piece of the documentation during my visit, but was able to provide it later. The result, however, was the phone was not given the service needed and I was unable to complete the repair needed to the phone for my employer. Fortunately, our IT department was able to come through, (GO IT!), but it was clear from how I was treated, (body language speaks volumes - seriously the rep gave me side eye when he told me he was getting his supervisor, both spent up to 20 minutes in the back, and the way my paperwork was pushed towards me across the desk - albeit professionally - it was clear what the opinion of it was ). Despite bringing in at least half of the requested documentation and paperwork I was being treated like someone trying to have a reset done on a stolen phone. I’ve worked customer service for 20 years, I know what that treatment looks like and now I know what it feels like. I will not be frequenting this store in the future.

Most ridiculous customer experience with their new system of having to “check-in” at the door. I wanted to window shop and was stopped from walking in. Ended up making a purchase but had to wait snother 20 minutes to be helped. Fortunately the lady that did end up helping me was very nice.

I went to the store because after talking to an Apple representative on the phone, I was told I could only get help setting up a new iPad and learn how to strip my husband’s old Apple devices from the store. They refused to help me with either and would only sell me a new iPad. I could have done that online and not risked my health in the mall!Now after to speaking to another representative on the phone I find that he sold me an incompatible keyboard. Now I must risk my life to take it back!The one star is only for their covid precautions. But we must still enter a mall - that’s a great risk for high risk individuals...

Service repair on my 6S took 15 minutes longer than promised; very reasonably priced and good deal. Their retail prices for accessories and charging cords are a little expensive but it is Apple. Overall a good experience.

This is a great Apple Store. I visited this morning to replace my worn iPhone cable. I was greeted immediately upon entering by a young woman who inquired how she could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she helped me locate a new cable right away. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes time. Fast, friendly and efficient. An excellent experience.

I made an appointment and came in on time. They sat me down and had me wait for 30 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was there. I had another appointment about an hour from my appointment thinking that I would get help in a timely matter and I ended up being late! The store wasn’t even busy. There was atleast 4 employees waiting around.

Worst service... I needed a battery replacement, was trying to schedule an appointment (since the wait was 2 hours), when I said that proposed time won’t work for me, the reply was : “that’s all we have - HAVE a good day!” Not even trying to accommodate. Can you believe it?!? I left, because I could not believe how rude it was, and 5 minutes later return to talk to a manager... never coming back.

Ordered a new Mac book through the Apple store app. THEY (Apple) offered a $9.00 delivery to my house same to next day delivery. Being my wife needs to be able to work from home, we need this ASAP. I tracked my delivery and it showed delivered. Come to find out this delivery is through postmate which is like a door dash like service and non disclosed. I get the run around and find out it needs to signed for and my wife wife was home all day. Long story short I buy a lot of Apple products and much pleased. If you use this service they put fault on postmate for a refund and I’m out my money from Apple other than $9.00. Buyer beware... ohhh by the way thank you Apple for making things complicated bravo.

Asked Griffin for help and he was the single worst associate interaction Ive ever had anywhere. Then when I called to let the management know I got told that my complaint was of no concern to them. Cant make an appointment on-line because my phone is not working which means I dont get the two factor identification needed to access any on-line support; who came up with this brilliant system??? Apples business model of in store customer service is abysmal. Its not this location, its the fact that there is no sympathy for walk-in customers at any Apple locations. Looking to problem-solve purchased apple products? Here are my solutions for Anchorage: 1) Alaska MacStore 2) Best Buy. Solutions for Apple, create a walk-in friendly staff that helps customers problem-solve the hardware that sold at your location. I should not be greeted with an employee moving to their phone screen to tell me if I can be helped. Go ahead and put the blokes out of their misery and replace them with artificial intelligence if that is going to be your customer service model.

The system for making appointments is clunky. Having a counter in the store where people can check in and request assistance and maybe added to a queue would be a better system than requiring customers to wander around until they can pounce on a worker as soon as the worker finishes helping someone else.

Theyre always eager to sell you the latest and greatest expensive electronics, but when you try and get said expensive electronics fixed or serviced youre suddenly stuck in a time sink of handball being passed from blue shirt to blue shirt. Im willing to bet I wouldnt fall through the cracks of blue shirts if I was buying a new product instead of trying to keep my old apple product functioning.Be prepared for a long frustrating wait if youre there to do anything other than purchase a new product.

My only experience was an iphone battery replacement. I didnt need the phone back right away, I just wanted to drop it off but the tech told me there was a two hour wait to check the phone in. So we spent the next 10 minutes checking me into their computer system. Then I waited 2 hours until I got a text saying they were ready for me to drop off the the phone. It took 3 minutes to drop off the phone. Do you see how silly this system is? Why make me sit and wait 2 hours? Unacceptable.The staff were friendly and helpful, but there is a serious problem with the way this was managed. I picked up the phone the next day and it works great, but the customer experience lacked common sense. I wish the managers could see that.

Left my Macbook for a battery replacement, expected it back in 3-5 days. After a week with no contact I went back to the store and was told the part had not arrived, and they would re-order it. Apple Store in 5th ave has great customer service. I cracked my iPhone 6s and needed it repaired. I called to find out how much it would cost and the lady on the phone said it would be $99 because I was on the iPhone care plus plan. I go in the store and the price at checkout said $129. I told the lady at the store that I was told it would be $99 and she informed me that I wasnt on the apple care plus plan. But because I was told it would be $99 they downgraded the cost for me. Very good customer service!

Took my laptop in to get it wiped clean and reset, was told would be an hour wait time. After an hour of waiting I get told there are ten people ahead of me and would just be another hour!!! Never been to impressed with the Apple store since its in a crowded mall but they do a great job dealing with thousands of customers a day . Though two things they are great at is customer service and design. Walk-in to make an appt was easy, the staff were very nice and understanding. I needed to make an appt yesterday to get seen today and they did a great job squeezing me in the same day. One down fall is I waited about 30 minutes to be set in the system after the appt time was scheduled, lots of downtime to wait. Overall the genius that was assigned to me tried to help the best they could within the Apple knowledge base they knew and were trained on. I had a rare repair for my macbook pro and it turned out even the 3rd party apple store couldnt repair it. I appreciate the time and effort the genius tech helped me with, great person and overall a good experience.

Friendly staff, but battery replacement in the iPhone 6 took 1 hour 15 mins. At the scheduled time for the repair to be complete I waited an additional 20 minutes before I asked about the status of the repair only to be told Oh, its ready. As I hadnt left the store for that entire time and all the staff are wired with comms and tablets, they should have been more prompt in completing the service, especially when I had informed them at the beginning that I had just finished a 12 hour shift and would appreciate an expedited repair.

Horrible employees, you dont argue with a whose right or wrong attitude. No wonder this is a low ranking store. I went in because my daughters iPhone X battery capacity was off, phone is 35 days old and the battery capacity was at 97%. Strange for a device only 35 days old, my co workers iPhone X over 1 year old and the battery capacity is still around 100%. His arguing point.. Your daughter uses it 10 hours a day, so I said I get that but an iPhone thats a year would have used the device longer. His arguing point,does she use Snapchat, YouTube or Facebook? I was thoroughly screwed over today. I had cracked my iphone screen - the screen didnt look great, but it was working just fine.....until I dropped it off for a standard repair.When I came back they had incorrectly replaced the screen - in the process damaging the phone to the point where it couldnt be used at all.Now, I was told sometimes that happens....but no, unless you have incompetent people carelessly handling your phone it does not just happen. Someone pressed on a wire too hard, or mishandled what should have been a perfectly standard repair job.I had to pay for a whole new phone. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PHONE REPAIRED HERE. It is very simple to go in and fix it yourself - or at the very least choose someone else to do it - thats what I should have done from the beginning but I didnt want to void the warranty.....now I have a whole new phone to reload and a big dent in my wallet.Its really my fault that I made the poor choice of supporting the apple brand. That was nobodys choice but mine. Its obvious to me now that their employees have no clue what theyre doing, and their products get worse by the day. Thanks for the crappy service once again.Oh, and by the way, I wont point out which reviews on here are fake....as they are so poorly constructed, and obvious that even a monkey could point them out.
