I chose Glen because of the great reviews. He responded quickly to my request and was able to quickly work on my laptop. I had a Windows 10 operating system that needed to be reset/reinstalled on my laptop, along with data recovery and computer setup after the Windows reset. I dropped my laptop off at 11:00 am and I got an “all finished” email around 8 pm that night.I feel like a weight has been lifted from me. I am so relieved. Glen recovered all data and fully set up my computer. When he was working on my computer, I made a list of the things I had to do to my computer after the Windows reset to get it back to normal. I was pleasantly surprised: when I got it back, all I had to do was connect to my WiFi, add my printer, and download several programs that I needed to download after signing into my accounts on the program websites. It was so easy. Glen would have installed these programs for me, but I would have had to give him access to my accounts. It was easier for me to reinstall these programs after getting my computer back.I think his fees are very reasonable. I had a Dell Software Technical Support contract that expired yesterday. After finding Glen, I have no need to renew it. Had I known there was such a great local expert, I could have saved a lot of money over the years.

He is a computer God and I am so thankful that I had reached out to him. He literally has great reviews for a reason. Honestly its all 5 stars besides the one 1 star. I messed up my audio drive and I messaged him for a quote on recovering it. He said he wasnt currently taking those kinds of projects but he sent me a link to reinstall and gave me clear directions and I followed it. I was able to fix it at NO CHARGE!!! He couldve had me make an appointment to get it checked out and then I couldve gotten charged for that but nope! I wanted to give a shoutout to Glen @ AK Computer Guy. I tried to install some upgrades on my own into my desktop but actually didnt entirely know what I was doing and somehow ended up frying the motherboard that came with my computer because after I had attempted to install the upgrades, the computer was essentially dead and nothing would turn on. Feeling frustrated and not wanting to damage anything further than I probably already have, I took it to Glen. The communication from start to finish was prompt and Glen was upfront with everything. There were some minor issues with getting a replacement motherboard but overall he got it working again and everything looks clean. I can now enjoy the added memory and better graphics processing! Even when his store was supposed to be closed, he provided me with the help I needed. Hes personable, polite, and gives decent troubleshooting advice. I have never had customer support as straight and to the point as this, and I cant thank him enough for the expensive RX 570 I saved.

I tried to build my own PC but lost all hope in getting it to work so I took it to Glen (if I remember his name correctly) and he offered to take a look at it. He did his research, explained to me what the issues were, and got the job done. Although he spent a good amount of time working on my computer, I wasnt charged much. I promised to write a review as a token of my gratitude. Ill also recommend him to my friends who need tech help.

Fast, efficient, and friendly.A few months ago Glen replaced my power supply for me in an afternoon. Glen did a great job on my computer. I only had a couple of days in Anchorage to get it done and he made it very convenient for me to drop it off and pick it up and fixed it up for me in about 24 hours. I brought the PC i was building to Glen to do the finish work on it and he did better than i wouldve imagined. His work was very neat and clean. It was very fast (brought it in the evening and it was done noon the next day) and fairly inexpensive compared to others. Also, Glen is a nice guy.

My computer was slowing crashing and I had tons of pictures on it that I couldnt image losing. My computer wouldnt let me back it up so I restored it to factory settings not even thinking about the consequences. I had a paper due for class and really needed my computer. One said there is no way I we get any of the data back, I actually wasnt happy with that answer. I figured with the way technology is now there was a way I could at least get some data back. I called Glen; two hours later he picked up my computer and returned it the next day. I cannot thank Glen enough. He restored 99% of my computer and for much less. Quick and affordable.My laptop stopped in the middle of its Windows 10 download. So I had to restart the laptop, which then tried to restore back to the original Windows and failed. Then I had a computer that did not work. Fortunately I was able to drop off my laptop on Friday afternoon to Glen and pick it up restored on Saturday morning.

I went to the Alaska Computer Guy over all of the others because of his reviews on Google and I am glad I did. I took in two computers and explained that I really only needed one working computer. He was willing to walk me through a few things over the phone for free to see if that would actually fix it before bringing in my computer. Glen really help me out here. My computer crashed and everyone I talked to said that I just needed to accept that my data was gone. In 2014 my laptop was so infected and Ive tried several different computer cleaning programs from Best Buy spending lots of money trying to clean off the problems but nothing worked. Sorry for the late review. A few months ago I had a ROG ASUS that had a failing hard drive. I brought it to ACG and he was able to fux and recover 99% of my files. The job was actually more than he quoted me for, but he still honored the price given. Honestly after it was all said and done I felt bad because I feel I should have paid more. He refused to take a penny more than what he quoted. I would definitely go back to ACG. I also have recommended him to anyone that has a computer problem.
