They trimmed a number of lower rings of branches on a very old and tall oak tree. Excellent service and price. They made sure that no cut branches landed on existing shrubs or wood fence. They were careful to ensure that the grass was not damaged by the equipment and cleaned up well after they were done the job. it was a very quick, efficient, and professional job. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

We just had Gate City Tree out to remove two giant pines from our backyard. When we first called, Kevin came right out to give us a quote. The pricing was super competitive; we got multiple quotes and Kevins was by far the most reasonable, and the people could not have been nicer. It was clear that Kevin was a professional; he talked us through each step and explained how they would crane the trees over the house- I thought my fence would be a problem but they navigated around it with no issues at all. It was fun to watch them work, this team clearly had a ton of experience- they were extremely efficient. They left everything clean and scheduled a stump removal for the spring. Really amazing work. I had what I would consider a huge job, probably 20 trees in a residential area. They showed up right on time, reviewed the trees to be removed and went right to work. Cleaned up after the removal in my yard and the street. Came approximately 2 weeks later and completed the job by stump grinding. While this company wasn’t the cheapest, he was the most knowledgeable about the types of trees and very fair on pricing. I would highly recommend!

We needed to get a super tall tree removed that had split during the recent tropical wind storm. I happened to call Gate City Tree first for an estimate. Kevin Fredette, the owner, arrived at our home within 15 minutes of my call! He arranged a crane and was here to do the job within two days...very fast service. His team, working together with Granite State Tree Service, did amazing work. Everyone was professional and friendly and cleaned up the yard before leaving. I had 5 different services come out to give me a quote on getting rid of 6 cherry trees and grinding down the stumps plus getting rid of an old stump. Kevin and Kim were awesome, we communicated regularly before the visit and I had to move to a later date and they were very accommodating. The crew was there and done before I was even home. We had a big tree come down on our roof and Gate City immediately responded to our inquiry and took care of the problem first thing the next morning. The entire crew was professional and efficient. Removing the tree required the use of a huge crane and other equipment, but they took care to protect the lawn and left it looking as if massive equipment had never been there. They also took photos of the roof so we have a birds eye view of the damage, which we couldnt see from the ground. Without those images we wouldnt know what repairs are needed until we started having water damage internally. The insurance adjuster was also glad we have the images to document the damage.

Had five large pine trees removed requiring the use of a large crane. The crew wasted no time setting up and *carefully* hoisting the trees out of a tricky spot that required them to lift the trees over my house. All was handled professionally and the area was cleaned up like they were never even there. But, the best part was the stump grinding the week after where they removed not only the main stump but some very hefty exposed roots that went 5 feet in either direction. Very impressed! (before and after photos attached).I almost forgot the best part -- the price! They offered a great price relative to the other quotes I received -- they made it easy to say yes.

They almost blocked off a street with trucks on both sides around a corner without having anyone direct traffic. It was a dangerous situation that could have been remediated by moving trucks to one side, or the other but no, common sense was not with them this morning. Hopefully, they can cut down trees better than they can park cars.

Kevin and his crew were great. They removed two trees for me, one that had fallen and was caught in another tree above my shed and the second a 120 ft pine that was rotted 20 ft up the trunk. They brought down both trees that were in close proximity to my shed and within reach of my house with zero damage. Everyone was very friendly, professional and helpful as well. I sleep much better at night knowing I do not have a rotted tree hanging over my head.

I recently had Gate City Tree come out to my home for an estimate. The price was fair from the start. Kevin was very knowledgeable about in the trees in my yard and informed his team of exactly what I wanted done. Bobby and Jay, I think, arrived a few days later and did an excellent job. I had two trees cut down, one pruned, and the big one pictured below trimmed way back off of my garage and neighbors yard. They treated my home and my yard with the utmost care, as if they were working in their own yard. Clean up was spotless and they took care of everything I wanted (even a little more!) all in less than a days work. Wow. These guys are amazing. I called at 12:30 and by 3 a 50 foot pine tree was gone and the only way you would know it was there at all was the crushed subaru in the driveway. Would absolutely use them again if anything like this ever happened again. Fair prices and the service was amazing.

I used gate city tree service for the removal of 10 trees today including 4 giant pines. The crew was right on time, took care of any of my belongings in their way and were all very professional. The crew showed up with about 10 people, a massive crane, a logging truck, a chipper and a nifty. They cut large pines between my house and my neighbors house with no damage. I feel that the price I paid was fair for the amount of work I had done. My yard was cleaned and other than the lack of trees you’d never know they were here. They even took care of a large amount of brush I had created from my own yard work and helped clean up another tree for me free of charge. Not to mention they did all this in about 5 hours. I will absolutely be using them in the future.

Kevin and his whole crew took down a massive old maple for us that was destined to cause trouble in the next major snowstorm. From initial contact to sweeping up the sawdust this company does the job and does it right. They were courteous and knew how to get the job done. They even managed to avoid having to call the electric company to take down wires while working. The crew all communicates really well with each other using radios when they couldn’t see each other directly. They were also flexible when we added an extra tree to come down at the last moment. They were safety conscious not just for themselves, but for us (watching) and our neighbors too. Best of all they are responsive when you call and send someone out right away. I would hire these guys again in a hot minute if I need any more tree services.

We had a massive, 75 year old oak tree in our backyard that had to be taken down. It took a small crane, a large crane, a logging truck and a chipper to safely remove the tree. Not only did they set up all the equipment without damaging any of our house, driveway or lawn, but they set up all the equipment and completed the tree removal in less than 2 hours. This is the most impressive tree service company Ive worked with.

This is the third time Kevin and his team at Gate City have helped us. The first two were planned - not this time. A huge pine tree came down on our front yard during the night. Gate City did a fantastic job. With 2020 being busy for it took a little while between quote and job but they got through a small forest in a day and as they were doing my neighbors the next day event went back and cleaned up a few things they had to leave from previous day as they had to go. Owner is fair in pricing and this is second time I have used them.

Kevin and his team did a fantastic job with a tree removal this winter. I had half of a large maple tree fall near my house on a Friday night. I called Kevin Saturday morning and within hours he came out to assess the danger to my house that the remaining portion of the tree presented. We agreed that it had to come down and shortly after his crew was there to complete they job. They respected my yard and even left me some good fire wood. I will absolutely be hiring them for my next tree need.

Great trees service! They took down a few very large trees with their crane, they were close to our house and close to the power lines. These guys are very good at what they do. They work quickly and clean the yard up very well. We wouldnt call anyone else!

I had agreed to a quote. I was told that they were booked out for about 3 weeks but they would call me to schedule something. Over 3 weeks go by...no call. I’ve tried calling for over a week. I’ve left a message and reached out via email. This is the second company to be unresponsive after the initial quote. Why? Because it’s one tree. I guess there is no money in it for them. When it does finally come down on my roof At least I can provide a signed agreement that I tried to have it removed.

I woke up to a mess of pine trees after some of my neighbors pine tree branches had fallen into my backyard. I needed these branches cleared immediately especially while my home is on the market. 11/5/2019 had 14 trees removed using large crane with tree sections coming over the top of the house. Some trees were in excess of three stories tall. Results were fantastic with the crew doing nice clean up. I recommend them.

Kevin Fredette and his crew are phenomenal. We called their emergency line Easter Sunday after heavy winds and rain brought down a huge pine tree and damaged several others that threatened to smash into our house. Kevin came by asap, evaluated the damage and rearranged his schedule for the next day when he saw that continued high winds and soggy ground promised to fell those trees in a day or two. We were impressed by his thoroughly professional crew of seven and their array of equipment. Our lot is heavily wooded, and it was amazing to watch the incredible precision with which their crane operators maneuvered huge tree segments, threading the needle around the house and up our steep driveway to the lumber truck and wood chipper. Job incredibly well done with zero damage under difficult circumstances and at a reasonable price. We cant thank you enough!

We had a tree fall in our back yard over night. It was a big one that killed our shed and part of our deck. Kevin came right out the same day that I called and said he could get a crew in there the next day!I watched the entire process! There were 4 workers all together and I was so impressed with the care they took and how very thoughtful they were with items that needed to be saved. They were gentle with placing items down. I was 10000% impressed with the care they took of one another, as well.
