When needing some new insurance in a short amount of time, Suzanne came though for us. And she was able to get us the same coverage for our home and auto for the same price. HPM did a great job at quickly writing multiple policies for my business in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic. Ive been doing business with this insurance company since 2006 and I can say that they are both professional and responsive.I am pleased to wholeheartedly recommend HPM Insurance! They have always been there for us.

Unfortunately HPM insurance has lost my business as of today. When I received my renewal for my homeowners policy I was shocked to see the amount increase of almost 60 percent from last year. Checking over everything I made sure my policy did not change, in fact everything was identical as the previous year on the declaration page. Once I made numerous calls to hpm, the underwriter and the firm they outsource to which determines my “insurance score” (and why it went down therefore affecting my rate 800 plus dollars) I got the bottom of why. I paid off a truck loan and because it shows on one of the three credit bureaus as a closed account I am viewed as a higher risk now because I have a bunch of old closed accounts left in good standing (some 8 plus years old mind you). The kicker? My credit score went up 3 points since last year and rests at 785. Of course this is a credit reporting issue within the bureau itself as the other two bureaus don’t list all the closed accounts. But this review isn’t about that or about the money I’m being extorted out of from a broken policy at the insurance company itself. This also isn’t about the 3rd party firm they exclusively use that refuses to list a phone number to the general public to speak to a live person about issues(only voicemail options) This is about HPM’s obstinance to not rerun my “insurance risk score” report with another firm or the current firm they use with another credit bureau. I even offered to pay the fee! This 3rd party firm confirmed today 10/23/20 that they WILL rerun my report with other bureaus but they need the insurance company to authorize it first. 17 years with the same underwriter, never filed a claim, never paid late and my credit score is considered “very good” with all three credit bureaus. I called the Amherst HPM location today and was told again nothing can be done and it’s a series of unfortunate events. All of my family uses/used HPM for business and personal insurance needs. We all stuck with them when they bought out our original broker we used for 30 plus years. We’re all pulling the plug after this. Hopefully this review also saves someone else from a company that doesn’t care about customer retention. Nothing can be done to solve this as the company was given many chances to rectify this at many levels. Unfortunately greed took over this branch. Imagine being a customer for many years and getting a 60 percent increase on your bill and being told they can’t control it because a lower number was determined by some 3rd party company that saw a few closed credit accounts left in good standing? Wow....

Unhappy with this company. They would take forever to get back to me. Didnt notify me that my homeowners insurance was canceled when they were informed days before I found out. Then when they found other companies the prices were outrageously inflated and claimed other insurance companies they work with wouldnt insure me. Ended up going with a different company and they insured me with a company this company said wouldnt insure me.

In May my father passed away and I became executrix of his estate. My father used HPM for his home and auto insurance and this is how I started working with Nichole Johnson at HPM. For the past few months she has helped me navigate through the world of insurance and the various decisions I needed to make in regards to coverage on my fathers home and autos. She has been extremely responsive to my many calls and requests for quotes as I decided what worked best for maintaining coverage on my fathers property. I am a new customer to HPM, through the acquisition of a local insurance agency that I was doing business with. It was good that I listened to her, as 7 months after signing up, part of my well water system failed, and the insurance helped pay to get it repair. I am posting this review on behalf of my father, Alec Mahfuz. Unfortunately, he passed away 11 days ago. About two weeks before his death, in his hospital bed in his home, he dictated this review of Holt Insurance Company, and specifically Dave Trudo. More than the words that he dictated, which were from the heart, the fact that he thought enough of Dave and his company to be concerned with making sure that this was done is testimony enough........this is what he asked me to post:Over the 24 years that I was in business, I had many insurance men called on me or come into my store. Some gave you the impression that all they wanted to do was make a quick sale. Others made an effort to feign interest in your business and your needs. The third type of person are not only interested in what you need, but also are truly interested in helping you prepare for the future with the things that are in your best interests. This is a very rare and exceptional person. In the time I was in business, there was only one that excelled in this manner- that mans name is Dave Trudo.On December of 2000, Dave called me and told me that there was something that my wife and I should consider. He wanted to meet with us because he felt it was very important and in my best interests. When he met with us, he was showed me a long term care policy. He said to me Alec, the reason why Im bringing this up is that this policy at this price will only be available to you for the next year or two. First of all, it is a lifetime guaranteed policy- if you wait two more years, you will pay as much, if not more for only a three year policy. So, I think it is in your interest to buy now and get the guaranteed lifetime policy. He went on to describe several other benefits. After explaining to me and my wife about the true value of this policy, we decided to sign up.It is now 14 years later and I never expected to have to use the policy, but cancer struck, almost totally disabling me. I have started using the policy and it is everything that Dave described. I would be seriously in debt to pay for the type of service that Im getting from the policy. I can truly say that if someone else had come in and offered me the same policy, I probably never would have bought it. But knowing Dave, and knowing he has always been on my side, I bought the policy for both myself and my wife. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Dave for caring enough to give me this opportunity.I would highly recommend him as well as his company, Holt Insurance Agency.
