Had a great thorough workout routine developed by their trainer Aaron. Very Satisfied. Thank you Aaron. The gym is excellent, clean, and has a very varied and sophistocated collection of workout equipment. My workout routine was well tailored to my goals. As someone new to gym equipment, the equipment I was recommended to use was patiently adjusted and use explained clearly by Aaron. Looking forward to going back.

Small facility.Men’s locker room is being renovated and won’t be open until Mid summer, 2019.Place is small compared to other locations, nearest one in Newburyport.Friendly staff though.

The staff is really friendly and helpful when needed

I have been to this club 4 times and the staff is horrible. They breath down your neck and disrupt your workout for no good reason. They also have signs up that explicitly say the locker room and changing rooms are closed but also pester you to take your bag and put it in the locker room. Good luck working out with the heavier dumbbells. The floor is not solid so whenever you PUT them down they still make a sound, yet they must come over and make a comment about it. It’s no wonder others have told me to avoid this location.

Planet Fitness has truly beat my expectations! I can’t wait for the renovations to be completed, to see all changes and improvements they made!! The staff I had met were very attentive, and beyond helpful. My tour was with Ryan who was extremely knowledgeable and confident about my future there. I signed up that day and have been very pleased with my new routine. So thank you Planet Fitness and Ryan for helping me get a new goal started!!!!

Affordable. Nice staff. Very clean. Recently remodeled. Equipment is good. Though a couple machines are showing wear and age.

Wonderful place to come and exercise at, everything is cleaned up, organized, and even has fans to help you cool off while you do your thing! Bathrooms are spotless, staff are super friendly, and prices are cheap especially for the black card, 1 dollar sign up! Would recommend this place anytime!

Nice clean gym. Good atmosphere. Each year they take away some kind of useful free weights so each year I am slightly more annoyed with them.

Much prefer this location to the newburyport one. The staff is friendly and its usually way less crowded. However they need to bring back the deadlift bars! What happen to them?! Only planet fitness that had them when I started going there

The planet fitness gyms in amesbury and newburyport are really nice. The staff and customers are all nice. There arent generally lines for the equipment. Theres always plenty of parking, and you cant get much better in the prices. The weights are kinda limited, but my strength is above average, and I get by.

As a person who works second shift...I do wish either the Amesbury or Newburyport locations were 24 hours. I love it when I get to go but because of my schedule I don’t get to go often.

This is the worst gym Ive ever used. Its dirty, run-down, and the staff is mainly young kids who are unprofessional and rude. They mock and make fun of people who work out there. The manager is also rude and does not encourage good customer service. Other locations are better, but I strongly recommend avoiding the Amesbury location as it is an independent franchise and not managed by Planet Fitness itself.

This club is excellent especially the trainer Millie. Her one on one with her customers is excellent. I joined for weight loss and she gives me the extra push to point me towards my goal. I would recommend this gym to anyone of my friends or family. Plus the financial cost of $20 per month is excellent too. Dare you to find a competitor that has rates line planet fitness. This gym has new equipment plus has done a recent renovation which includes showers.MY RATING A+++++

I go because its cheap and close but they removed all Bench Press and Squat racks. Its a joke if you enjoy lifting. And according to corporate anyone who is fit and lifts moderate or more weight is a meat head. Even this typical Dad with two young kids trying to get in shape!

An every other day exercise that is good for our health

Thank you for fixing the ruts in the parking lot! Looks alot better.The pizza and bagel thing is interesting too. Not sure who it benefits, the customer or the employer.

Decent gym in Amesbury. Not the Ritz, but good enough to get a good workout.

I like the gym. Staff friendly. Manager works her tail off. Only issue is bench press gone causing safety issues for anyone lifting, women especially because they roll it down their body vs having a rack to put it in. To say the smith machines are the same is dishonest. Not close!! The logic is not logical. Just because someone wishes to go big doesnt make them a meathead.

Good Gym for the price. Friendly staff. I just wish the locker rooms were a little cleaner

I recently joined this gym; just moved to lovely Merrimac. I am very happy to be a member here. It is well run, the staff is nice, it is clean, the machines are well maintained, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I was previously a member at another location in Medford, and due to poor management I left after a year and joined another chain. I am happy to say the Amesbury Planet Fitness is a keeper! Thank you Amesbury Planet Fitness!

Very friendly staff but the gym is old and kind of small. There was a guy running on a treadmill behind me and the floor was shaking so bad that I was sure the floor was going to collapse and we were going to end up in the basement.... We didnt :)
