My husband & i enjoyed our time at 3 Sisters, today. Love Scout, the Dog!Learned lots about knife steel. Found a lovely knife, which i happily bought. The atmosphere is relaxed and no pressure.I bought an Iowa-made knife. They have a nice selection of locally produced knives.Side note; I have only cut myself once, with my new knife ( owned it for a grand total of 4 hours) We will definitely be going back!!

Went in to find my brother a knife for a present. The man there was very knowledgeable and didnt seem to try and up sell me. Lots of very interesting pieces inside from new to old it seemed. Plus there was a dog. The dog was worth the extra star.

This place is amazing. A must see in Ames. Truly unique. The purveyor is very knowledgeable and eclectic. A wide variety of interesting items. Stop by for a visit or to pick up something you wont find anywhere else.
