Seriously any business that uses ups shouldn’t. At least in my experience, highly unprofessional, not helpful and lying to customers. Important documents that need to be delivered should be done through fedex or usps. Never ups.Their customer service lies. 3 different customer service agents lied to me all day that I will get a “call” from the local office to pick up my package after they failed to deliver in the first place. But I never got the call. People working at this facility are not serious or care about their customers.

I’ve just had a second package lost in the last few months. It’s impossible to contact a real person regarding the issue. If shipping items, I would recommend going with FedEx or USPS.

This is easily one of the most frustrating companies Ive ever dealt with. Everything they offer points me to their corporate website which just gives me the runaround over and over. My package has been put on a truck to be delivered twice and keeps getting taken back to the distribution center with no explanation or attempt to deliver and then their bot tells me I requested this. I decided to go over and talk to them at the local office and theyre closed for 5 hours in the middle of the day. I literally passed the delivery driver at the end of my block yesterday (they offer tracking and it was the truck with my package) and he didnt even try to deliver. Tempted to go find the truck and pick up the item directly!

Received notification on Friday that my package was out for delivery at 5 am and would arrive by end of day. At 5:02 PM a UPS truck arrived in front of my home, the driver never left his seat, he sat for approximately 30 seconds and drove away. Immediately my amazon tracking info changed to “the delivery of your package has been rescheduled based on your shipment instructions for the carrier” I immediately called the UPS store which closed at 5 pm and spent an hour trying to reach a non automated person. They told me their system showed the driver attempted delivery but the business was closed and the package would be attempted again the next business day...which would be MONDAY. Of course Monday is here and I have no confidence in UPS so I call again this morning and am told that their system shows it has been loaded on a truck but is not out for delivery so I can pick my package up. I do not own a truck so I paid for UPS to deliver and now it is my responsibility to arrange pick up? Very poor customer service UPS.

Lousy customer service. I ordered something from Amazon and the driver delivered it to the wrong address, either my neighbor next door or the one across the street, UPS admitted that. They expected ME to go knock on doors and find it! I was told that the driver didnt have time to do that. Four days later and still no package. And they wont even call me back!!! I have to call them. So far they havent even offered to reimburse me! I wish Amazon would use a different shipping service, but will have to put up with them until then.

3rd time now that my packages said out for delivery and then does not get delivered. Then packages get rescheduled for the next day, some made it the next day some did not. All items were food items a 1 of the packages got rerouted to CALIFORNIA!! WHAT?! By the time I got the time I had to pick it up off my porch and throw it in the garbage can because it was 12 days in shipment! Now my 2nd day item is on its 3rd day and no package yet! FRUSTRATING!

Driver in my area of Ames refuses to go to the front door for signatures. He knocks on a garage door and leaves a slip there. Worse, there is no local telephone number in Ames to make a complaint. Deliveries on Friday go to the access point that is closed on Saturday, meaning that packages cannot be picked up until Monday afternoon. This is the extent I have to go to get the driver to do his job--leaving a notice to ring the darn doorbell. Before I order anything anymore, I will make sure that USPS delivers instead of this failed service.

I usually understand waiting when people are busy but as I waked in here, I was the only person. There was no one at the counter and as you enter you can clearly here a buzzer to let someone know you’ve entered. I waited and waited. A driver walks in, looks at me and goes to talk to someone sitting in the back. Then they are talking and the guy in the back looks at me and just walks away. The driver finally asks if I have been helped. I say no, and they say I’ll go get someone. Well they never came to the front. After waiting even longer, I say l have somewhere to be and just need to drop my package off. They say just leave it there. I am utterly disappointed in their customer service. I will not be returning to this location again.

The customer service in store Ive had has just been the best. I use them for work and they have a record of recent addresses. Just amazing.EDIT: phone service is horrible. All I want to do is call the store I used and you cannot get a real person, just some stupid 800 number

They have a good service but watch for the truck as they drive too fast and in the parking lots too so this is not safe. He careful drivers and corporation, please slow the drivers down for the safety is #1 of all peoples in Ames

I can’t seem to contact anyone about my lost package. I was told to contact the East Lincoln way store for information but there is no direct number or way for me to contact an actually worker from this store. Also is there a Mike that works at this store? I need to get ahold of someone from here! Thanks

Delivery was not made as guaranteed for a preorder due to negligence on ups. Will request a different shipping handler after this experience. Paid for two day shipping ended up being a week shipping!! Needs to be open Saturdays. Such a crock carrier service..

Drivers that work here dont actually deliver packages to your door. They just leave a slip saying that you arent home when in fact you are. Absolutely useless. Ill never be using UPS again. I paid for UPS 2 day air, and I expect it to be delivered to me on time. My package was incredibly important to a job I was contracted out to do. And now that UPS and their customer service department has proven their incompetency, I have lost out on a job. Thank you.

Nightmare of epic proportions. They charged me $99 to take a package from Ames, IA to Ottumwa, IA for Saturday delivery. Then didnt deliver until Monday, claiming bad weather (the sun was shining). I then spent 3 hours on the phone arguing with them that the weather was fine. Finally got a call back the next day telling me I was right, and that the weather event description had been put on there AFTER the guaranteed time of delivery. So they sent me a check in the mail - for the wrong amount. When I tried to get in touch to correct it, I spent more hours on the phone / email only to be told that I should just cash it and use FedEx. So done with UPS.

I called customer service two days ago and they put my package on hold for me to pick up today (Dec. 23 3:00 pm to be exact because 4:30 is when they told me they were closing.) I go to the store all the lights are off and only a mechanic is there. He has to call someone to help me and other customers. The ups man arrives and tells me he cannot find my package and its probably on a trailer and it would take too long for him to find. He tells me to come back on Tuesday. I was not pleased at all. I needed that package before Christmas and had it shipped and held for me specifically for that reason. It was there he just wouldnt go find it for me. If I could I would give them 0/5.

Delivery drivers are horrible. Stayed at home twice for a delivery and they didnt even ring the buzzer. They just left a note saying sorry we missed you even though I was there waiting.

More or less a useless service. Ames drivers dont ring doorbells at apartment buildings-they just leave a slip saying you werent home. So on a service which youve paid for overnight service, you wont actually get your package until UPS delivers it to an access point by 1PM the day after scheduled delivery. On one occasion they attempted delivery once (we were home, but they decided not to ring the buzzer) then shipped the package back to the sender. If you call the number listed on Google for this location you go to the national call center, and the national call center says they have no way to actually talk to a local branch. So if youre not willing to sit out front waiting for the night brown truck, youre SOL. Definitely NOT using UPS in Ames ever again.

Super frustrating trying to have a simple question answered. All I wanted to do was call the ups place in town and ask how late they deliver. Calling connected me to an bot that gave me 4 options, none of which were helpful. It didnt even have the option or speak to a representative or all other issues press so and so , after breaking away from the options and repeating I want to talk to a real person it gave me to another robot where I had to repeated that some more until it transferred me to someone who isnt in this state even. All I wanted to do was ask how late they would deliver... the person I was finally connected to was helpful but to get connected with him I had to improvise verbal options to machines were t providing. So if I hadnt thought to just keep telling the robot I want to talk to a real person over and over again I would never have been able to even talk to the customer service person in India or where ever.HE was very helpful, but I only was connected with him by chance, most people probably couldnt figure out how to get past the robot so I have to say the system you have set up is AWFUL! Horrific lily frustrating

Never in my life have I have had more difficulty ever with UPS until now. This locations driver delivered my package to a COMPLETELY different location. I live in an apartment complex 15 mins away from campus and for some bizarre reason the driver who was driving that day delivered my package to the iowa state dorm mail delivery room. (May I mention, I HAVE NEVER LIVED IN THE DORMS, and no where close to them) and like I said my address is no where near the same as the address they delivered it too, in fact it is a different zip code. I have called UPS almost 10 different times to figure out where my package is! NO ONE apparently can tell me where my package is; every time i called UPS they told ME to contact the mailing department and find out information there about the package, which i found absolutely RIDICULOUS because i am not the one who screwed up, they did. Also, found it ridiculous that I talked to three different people and one of them told me that they would have to talk to the mailing department where it got delivered too personally, and the driver that was delivering packages that day and they took my number and said they would call me once they spoke to both people later that day. AND I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. I had to ONCE AGAGIN call UPS,and the worst part about this call was that I had to explain the situation all over again, because apparently the person who i spoke to early who said they would absolutely call me did not even talk to the driver, nor did she even leave a note explaining what was going on to the next person. May I also mention that I ordered this package last Saturday, and it was support to be delivered to my apparently Wednesday morning, and was dropped off on Wednesday in the morning AT THE WRONG location, so it has taken two days to figure out where my package is, and since UPS isnt open saturday and sundays, i will not figure out the solution to this problem until monday (that is if the decided to call me this time), I needed this package BEFORE Monday, and because of this UPS location, that will not happen, and obviously i am not happy by situation (hints the long review). If i do not hear anything from them on monday and they still have no idea where my package is I WILL call the UPS AND WILL SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. I would rather have my package be delivered to my home town (40 mins away from ames) and pick it up JUST to make sure this doesnt happen again and I actually get my package on time!
