Very friendly staff. Room wasn’t clean when we moved in and had to do a deep clean of it when we were told that we were supposed to move into a clean apartment. Laundry and dryer on our floor, but it has technical issues. I have no problem with anything else! I would love here again no problem!

This place continues to build a horrible reputation amongst Ames, a place no one wants to live at. They charged all of my roommates, as well as a few different people I know that lived in my building for “cleaning services”. The amount charged was $225 EACH. Not $50, not even $100, $225 for a college student.

Got charged $100 because I left the staff a couple of beers in the fridge as a thank you. Even left them a thank you note taped to the beers. In their photo as “evidence”, they removed the note. Even if there wasn’t a note, $100 to throw away 2 beers is ridiculous. This place is a scam.

A few things. The things I liked about this place is the maintenance were pretty on point and well managed, the staff are well trained and will respond to your requests and questions well, no doubt. Security was also greatly maintained, even when college students trash through out the place and destroy the keys and everything. However they will try to exploit your pockets as MUCH as possible. Electric bills in the winter is $300 a month (non exaggerated) because they use electric heat. My cleaning fee was $250 even when I left everything clean ($50 for cleaning each room and $100 for throwing out trash??) Late fee was $250 for turning in my keys 4 hours late. It was good experience and bad at the same time, and the bad ones tramp the others pretty good. 0/10 will return to this place or recommend to anyone.

I transferred to ISU last year and have been looking for a place to live that’s affordable and near campus. Looking at multiple places, I finally decided to call Campustown and set up a tour through Noah Miller. He was very nice and thorough in explaining the options to me. He was even able to set me up with a tour. Noah knew a lot about everything Campustown has to offer and gave me some other inside information, as he also lives through a Campustown residence and knows a lot about all of the areas. Great experience!

The leasing agents are very helpful in answering all my questions as a new tenant. Noah Miller is especially top notch in his knowledge of his job and his attitude in making me feel comfortable about my choice. That first impression is very important. The apartments are very convenient to the campus which is very helpful in the life of a student.

My experience with Campustown was a great one! Alyssa was the leasing agent I worked with and she was very knowledgeable. You could tell that she was very confident and knew her stuff. This was my first time searching for an apartment outside of Highschool and Alyssa was able to put my mind at ease. It was a great experience and I would recommend Campustown to any of my friends.

I move out next month and after the last 11 months of living at Campustown Id recommend it to anyone looking for off-campus housing!! Every time I had a maintenance request it was fixed in less than 24 hours, they have the best rent prices Ive seen in Ames, the apartments were always well maintained, they always do fun stuff for residents like grocery bingo and giveaway prizes, the staff working in the buildings and in the main office are amazing!! I look forward to getting mail so I have an excuse to go see Tammy, Ashley and Emily! They are the best. Rent with Campustown!!

Absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life. They prey on ignorant college students who don’t know any better. They will not add prorating into their contracts unless you specifically bring it up. Also there is no way to cancel a contract without paying the FULL contract value. Their laundry services are subpar and continually break down. Do yourself a favor and never get in bed with these criminals. There’s a hundred other options to choose from I recommend you find one.

My son is a sophomore at ISU and looking for an apartment for the fall. I was a little worried about helping him locate an apartment and for a reasonable price with a few months before school starts. I figured with Campustown being basically across the street from ISU, the cost would be really high, but it was very reasonable for the area. I called a lot of places and finally connected with Noah at Campustown. He answered all of our questions and the fact he lives there and knows a lot about the area really helped. He gave reasons why Campustown was the best choice and was very detailed in his explanation. We are going to take a tour next week and compared to other places this was the most organized and had a straight-forward approach. Noah Miller was awesome and Im so glad he took our call today.

It is super intimidating at first, but when I went into campustown to inquire about their units, Nastassja DeGarmo was there to greet me and answer every question I had. Campustown has had the worst possible service I have literally ever experienced in my whole entire existence. Please save your money and do not live here. Save not only your money, but your sanity, and your time. These apartments are WAY overpriced for the horrible service and stress that comes with it.They look SUPER good, but on the inside? Big no no... Pipes burst and break, sinks and toilets constantly food and wont drain... Things are always broke- elevators, doors, etc. Huge mistake living here..

Yeah so campus town just called the cops because i was upset that they shut the elevator off for no reason. Today my friend who was in an accident and leg is hurt had to get carried by one of our friends down the stairs. So shutting down the elevator because it’s 801 and taking pictures of us stuck on the balcony is absolutely ridiculous. They have a monopoly on the campus housing and pay people for reviews. I’ll add picture for proof.

One star for location - know what you are getting into with this rental company from Texas: Quick to take your money and your deposit for dirty hallways, one elevator (often broken for long periods of time), non working washers and dryers ( asking tenants to call for service), no compensation for unusable amenities that are closed, paperwork errors by book keeper, allows pets with no green space for them so pet waste is an issue - not suitable for pets, extra charge for parking far from your apartment. Generally, out of state landlords are out for student money and that is the only motivation - Not recommended -

If I could give negative stars I would. Dont live here. Maintenance will be in your apartment once a week to scratch up your walls and leave a mess. Then youll be charged at the end of your lease for the damage done to the walls. Oh, and if you use the AC it just may leak all over your bed. And if you looked forward to using any of the extra amenities, too bad. They will always be closed due to maintenance. The only positive was the proximity to campus, but Id rather walk across the U.S. to get to class than to live here again. BS company. Wouldnt wish it upon my worst enemy to live here
