Very nice place for pets

This store used to be my absolute favorite, it had amazing customer service and every employee knew my name and my dogs names. It was fun to go there, I have 4 animals so I purchase a lot of food and supplies there. Gradually management and the employees have been leaving and the culture has changed. They have been trying to be more strict about some things which is understandable, I was caught off guard by some new changes and some employees have been nice, some are awkward and some are rude. One person even named me as a person that created problems with pickup, she didn’t know she was talking to me when she named me as a person that caused a problem. I had no idea, nobody ever told me I caused any issue and it was actually a computer problem one time. It felt so insulting and then to walk in on employees gossiping about me when they knew I was coming by. Anyway, the place isn’t as professional probably because of cheaper, younger employees and the management culture isn’t as friendly anymore. So disappointing because I’ve really enjoyed this store for so many years. It was like Disneyland to my two puppies that adored everyone there. I’ll be shopping online and having supplies shipped instead. So sad because I really liked the culture and employees here, my dogs loved it too but it’s so different now.

I love this PetSmart! First of all, this is where I took my dog when he was a puppy for training. This was over 6 years ago. My dog is very well behaved and the trainer was awesome! The grooming department is excellent and well trained. They are nice to my dog and they love him. Thank you Abbie for always making sure Wrangler is handsome!!! Paige does an excellent job too! I am very grateful for the talents these gals have.

Store is always clean and well organized. The line was really long today. They called up another cashier and got it handled in a timely manner.

I went in to get an order picked up and this was my first time going to this location. I waited patiently as the worker at the front chatted with her friend. After she was done, she started writing on her clipboard for a minute still saying nothing. After she got done she acknowledged the man behind me as if I was invisible. There was no hi can I help you with something? NOTHING. It was literally like I was invisible. Not happy and it was extremely rude. Thanks girl with the blue highlights :)

I am grateful for a PetSmart located so close to my home... I am a dog mom and definitely go often for treaters and accessories. I would love them to have more in stock but during this time where some items are harder to get I wont fault them. I like that they were cheaper than amazon this time. I notice the prices of kennels on amazon have increased dramatically where PetSmart beat them by nearly $20. Thanks PetSmart for not gouging us!

Grateful that they had a room. It happened to be the last one.Our shampoo was less than half full. So we didnt use any. 😕 It would have been nice if they would have replaced it with a new one.

We have been taking our 2 small dogs here now for just over a year!. We love the employees who work here because they truly love the animals. Its so nice to have the dogs in great care. We cant speak highly enough, each cut has been fabulous!

Good location, and dog grooming is standard. I would rather support local groomers, but this is a great one-stop shop for new people in town. Products are more expensive, but they have a great selection for special diets and unique toys

Lots of stuff for living organisms that you keep in your house. Also they have hamsters. Cool place!

My experiences here have been limited, yet positive compared to others. I cannot speak for the vet or grooming services, but only the retail experience. Most recently, the employees have been very helpful both over the phone and in-person. One thing that Ive been really satisfied about is the selection of dog food. Our puppy is very picky. We were told that if our puppy doesnt like the food, we could bring the bag back for an exchange, which we greatly appreciate. Some of the other products there are way overpriced.

I do like this location for getting my fish. The employees do try to do a good job.

They are really great with my pup. They even noticed a small problem with her tail and asked the vet really quick about it. Its Very appreciated to know they care

This location is nice. The employees are nice and the store is well kept and clean all the time. But they don’t have much options when it comes to pets. We went to this petsmart and there was nothing for spiders. There weren’t any crickets. They only had worms and worms arent good for spiders. There wasn’t a huge silection. They only had hamsters and little snakes, birds, fish and turtles. They didn’t have any frogs, spiders, geckos, they didn’t have any exotic pets. The stuff is so over priced. It was cool but I don’t like going somewhere where they barely have a collection

We went here on a field trip with my daughters preschool class, and it was a hit for all. Good selection for adopting animals such as dogs or cats. Other animals available for purchase as well, as well as plenty of options for food, aquariums, etc. Service is always great. Highly recommend!

I went to get my dogs nails clipped. They staff was friendly and they.got us in and out very quickly.

Not a bad selection. There were a decent number of dead fish in the tanks which was kinda sad. The girls that helped us was rather condescending, not necessarily rude but not pleasant either.

LISA IS THE BEST!!!! 100/10 would recommend. I was really nervous taking my cat in because it was her first bath after I adopted her. Lisa calmed my nerves and made me so comfortable leaving my cat there with her. She did an AMAZING job grooming my cat and was very detailed. Thank you Lisa!!!!

Much better staffed than the Orem store! Even though I shopped at their busiest time (Saturday afternoon), as soon as I walked into their aquatics department, I was greeted by an employee who was extremely busy, but NOT TOO BUSY to acknowledge my arrival.Even checking out with my purchases was a MUCH short wait time! I dont care much for the way the store is laid out.... ESPECIALLY at the checkout (which feels claustrophobic.... the employees were amazingly cheerful, friendly and checked their customers out FAST!Google maps had their address wrong (an empty field) , so I got on last night and made the correction. They got a LOT of phone calls from frustrated potential customers that couldnt find their store... including myself. Problem solved! Ill be back... now that I know EXACTLY where they are located. 💛💛💛

My cat has issues with cleaning himself as he is elderly so his hair tends to get matted. He struggles when I try to brush him out, so I have chosen to take him to a groomer on a regular basis. Unfortunately there are not many groomers that will do cats. For this reason I have been coming to Lisa in The grooming salon for years. Originally I had seen her at the Orem PetSmart, but most recently she has moved here to American fork which is even better for me as Ive recently moved to Salt Lake City. Lisa is great, very friendly and more than happy to help by answering questions and giving tips. This review is about Lisa. As for the rest of the grooming salon staff, I was not very happy with my most recent visit as I was told multiple incorrect things about the price, etc. At checkout I mentioned this to the manager of the store and he reduced the price to what I was told. Its unfortunate that had to happen though and wasnt just the correct information I was told over the phone in the first place.

We find that this urinary tract formula works best for our cats.

So disappointed in their grooming department. They do an okay job but my small dog usually has a cut or two when he is groomed. Today I was late to an appointment and they refused to groom my dog. Its out my way, and inconvenient, but Ive been going for years and when Im late one time they were unwilling to accommodate. Not worth it. I will not be back.

Very little help from staff in what they could clearly see i needed assistance. Store was not busy there was no reason that I shouldnt have been asked several times for assistance.. I also purchased a tag to b ingraded. Again was not asked if needed help. Want asked if needed help to car? Cart was full of items, had a new fish tank youd have thought a store that had plenty of staff would have welcomed an invitation to walk out of store for a minute... this visit was little after 1:00 p.m.

I like this Petsmart but it is not at the location Google maps says it is. Look up Banfield Pet Hospital for proper directions to the Meadows shopign center in American Fork.

The cat groomer is lazy! I brought my kitty here to get multiple treatments done. A couple days later I took my kitty to Banfield within this location and the vet told me she needed her ears cleaned, the nail caps removed and nails trimmed because you could tell they were too long (like how acrylics look on a woman when they grow out and need to be filled). I literally wasted $50 on services that I had to pay the vet to do because the lady a couple days prior didn’t do but definitely took my money to do...go to banfield if you need this stuff done!! Stay away from the groomer side! I am still trying to get my money back from the groomer services as recommended by the vet since I had to pay twice as much to have the vet clean her ears!

They have the basics of what you need. Their prices are high like most pet stores. I go there mostly for aquarium needs. My biggest complaint though is that every time I buy a fish, the staff practically interrogates me about the size of my tank and act as if they will not sell me the fish I want unless I give the right answer so Ive started lying about the size of my tank just to get out the door. I would recommend a different pet store nearby thats not a chain that will remain unnamed in this review.

They always have my dogs food in stock and plenty of treats in stock for him, some things seem a little pricey.

I love the customer service here, and I can always get what I need for all of the pets. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We also got the best cat in the world here and loved the whole process.

@Petsmart, you may want to check your Dentleys bones. I pulled one out for my dog and it has mold on it. Best buy date is 1/27/22

Brought my dog in for a follow up appointment after a visit to the emergency vet due to a dog fight. There were 2 issues: scratch on her eye, and this GAPING very visible wound on her neck. The technician somehow missed this and only checked her eye, even when I mentioned I’d like her neck checked too. Never saw the vet - only the tech.After calling back to let them know I was not happy with how they checked my dog, the tech proceeded to let me know a - I didn’t communicate the injuries to her (hmmm yes I did) and b - the appointment wasn’t set up correctly. She continued to blame others for her not seeing this gaping wound when she checked on my dog, and let me know she thinks she handled the appointment perfectly.Won’t ever go back. Super, super not happy, and will make sure all my dog mama friends know not to go there either

Great place for any kind of pet. (mostly) I fill that one more cashier would help in a lot of ways. The line I was in took about 20 minutes before I could pay for my things.

Sad they leave their dead betta fishes on the shelf for god knows how long. Went there today to pick one up after the one I just bought died within 2 weeks and there were at least 4 dead on the shelf. I think that says all you need to know.

I went in specifically to have my dog groomed. Abbie D. in grooming at PetSmart is my little girls favorite and the reason we keep coming back.

It was very odd to walk in during the middle of the day and find half the lights off inside near the back. They had two registers going. So the lines went fairly fast. There were a lot of missing items from the isles. A lot of empty hooks. Otherwise a clean store and good experience.

Awesome place for pet supplies

I saw a pretty cool fish tank there when I was buying crickets. My wife didnt close the cricket cage all the way though and they got out. I didnt mind, their song is relaxing.

The know it all employee in the fish department was so insanely rude and her actions made us put back hundreds of dollars of merchandise on the shelves and pick a different store.

They are way more expensive than most other places. But other than that I have no complaints.

Staff is rude here, especially the young blonde haired checker working today, March 2nd at 3:35pm. Extremely lacking any sort of customer service skills. Disappointed because Petsmart used to be a favorite store of mine and my fiancés. We will have to go somewhere else if this attitude issue with the staff continues.

Great experience getting fish from an experienced associate! My daughters are nuts for their new Christmas fish tank and fish!

Four stars because its a standard store, nothing special, and the associates are always cheerful.Five stars if I were rating only the dog training classes. Alex is knowledgeable, helpful, and great at his job. If you have the option, aim to take your dog to his classes! I also love that they are held in the evenings so I can get home, eat, etc. before heading over.

Its PetSmart. The variable is the people, and the people seem friendly.

During these times of uncertainty, we never know what food products will be on SHORT!. I am appreciative to the Petsmart, Orem, UT. for having the foresight to adjust thier order and keep my babies grub flowing. Looked high and low, BUT, was at wits end worrying if Ill be able to get special food my boys need. Walked in door, asked very helpful customer service , if they had and where it was located. I scheduled my dog a couple WEEKS ago for a grooming appointment. They waited 30 minutes before the appointment time to call and say that they didn’t have room and the groomer that would be doing my dog called in sick. I asked if there was anyone else that could do it and was told the other groomers were too booked. I told them I was literally walking into the building and still was told they couldn’t fit me in, even though we had an appointment! Um what? Unacceptable, I have worked in grooming and never would we have done that to someone, we would have squeezed them in, given that it was our fault. I was giving them a second chance too. Last time I brought my dog in there were chunks of long hair left all over his body and his cut was not the way I had told them to do. At check in last time they told me that the groomer that needed to hear what I was saying went to lunch and they would relay what I wanted. Which didnt get relayed properly. I didn’t say anything because I’m normally not like this and don’t usually write reviews unless something is really bad. I won’t be scheduling with them again. My dog desperately needed it too. Really disappointed.Edit: I later decided to call back and schedule because they were literally the only ones that could get us in sooner. The girl on the phone was really apologetic and sweet. They offered to squeeze us in on a Saturday and offered a discount. I took it. Biggest regret ever. I asked for a 1/2 inch all over and for a teddy bear face and to make sure not to shave his face like last time. They left his hair longer than a half inch. There were patches that you could tell they tried to brush back so it didn’t look like they were longer than others. Last time they shaved him completely and this time they barely took anything off. I specifically asked for a nice trim around the mouth but to leave his face teddy bear and not to shave his face , but they cut his eyebrows to a half inch and left everything else long. What was the point in that? They didn’t clean up his mouth and he still had stains on his chin from his food, which usually come out with a simple bath even at home. I’ll give it to them they listened on the face part they left it a little and didn’t shave it like last time. It was suppose to be one length all over his body. It looked like they started with the 1/2 inch on the neck then changed it. He is shaved on his neck and long and shaggy on his body and even has an almost bald patch on his chest. 1 length on his body is what I asked for. He smelled like a sweaty armpit and someone’s cologne but didn’t smell like he had been bathed at all. Which was suppose to be included. I honestly don’t understand how they do it. The instructions are clear. Other places are easily able to figure it out, why can’t they? I won’t be making that mistake again.

Staff could of been more friendly and helpful. I mentioned an online problem I had and it seemed like the employee could care less. I did order my dog food online and had to walk in to get my second bag. Store was clean.

Very good place to swing in and pick up food or toys real quick even on Sundays.Employees have never hesitated to help me find something. Good little selection for rodents. My rats are very happy with everything Ive gotten there.

That was such a wonderful place to find so many awesome items. Amazing variety of food for animals and a great place to take a family. It’s a clean, spacious atmosphere fit for anyone. The lines inside move rather quickly. Ordering online is very intuitive For about any product. They are never out of food that I need to pickup for my dog. Have great quality of Toys for my dog. Wonderful selection of clothes for Ewok at reasonable prices. I have saved a lot of money coming to Petsmart for years and plan to be an ongoing customer. I will keep visiting this place because the staff give excellent customer service. Never have had a bad experience coming here. Great views Outside of the distant mountains. Lots of other businesses in the area to visit. Lots of young families seem to come here. The staff at the counter are always so pleasant.

I LOVE buying the pet food and treats here If your pet wont eat it you can exchange it WITH OR WITHOUT the receipt (you just have to have a phone number with them).

Tons of stuff, some of it is priced well, most of it is really pricey. Its great, though, to be able to take your pet to the store. We took our dog and let her pick out a toy and she still loves that toy, which was a pretty fun experience, so definitely worth it for that. Definitely worth going to to check certain things out in person, as well, especially if you need to find if something is the right size.

Usually a big fan of petsmart and employees are usually friendly and knowledgeable. NOT at this location. Some not wearing masks but requiring we stand 6 feet from the fish tank makes it very difficult to see the fish. Big paper signs blocking tank.Wost experience by far.

We had a great experience at the store. Quite a few different employees said hi and asked if we needed anything. The reason I am giving a one star review is because the cashier was absolutely horrible. She sat on her phone the ENTIRE time she rang us up and did not say a single word besides bye.... Management, please do not let this behavior continue. I thoroughly enjoy your store, but after my experience last night, I am hesitant to come back.

Who doesnt like to go in a store and play with kitties and doggies and fishes?! They have extremely nice and helpful staff to fit your every need. they are also very good on keeping the animals where they be long because they do have obedience school and it works wonders as long as you follow through it when you get back home definitely definitely take your dog to this place and they will train him right.
