They installed the ac unit and was not installed correctly. Now we cant even get in contact with them. Its almost like they disappeared. Seems like they are a scam. Still trying to get a hold of them to this day. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS THEY SUCK!!!

We had a heater and A.C installed during the winter time. Our A.C has not been working at all, and this company has been non responsive. We have been trying to get a hold of them for over a month now! We drove by the business and it’s like it’s non existent. What is going on?!!! We had to waste and spend so much money on fans all around our house because if we call someone else to fix it, it voids our warranty. It’s be nice if they had some sort of update on their message machine, website or Facebook stating what is happening with this company instead of making us suffer in this unbearable heat.

How do you get ahold of this company?! 3 weeks of trying to make contact because my AC isn’t doing what it’s supposed to be doing. I’ve called multiple numbers and left multiple messages with NO RESPONSE!! It’s 108 degrees and 83 degrees IN MY HOUSE!!! My elderly grandmother lives here!

I was told they were running a special where if you bought a central air unit they would throw in a heater. The bird came to 14,800 which seems like a lot for Amana products. What has me troubled was when the two salesman got to my home they open my furnace to take a look at what I had and since one was in training I went upstairs for a few minutes to grab something before returning. I then showed them the garage and yard as they requested. Sometime in the middle of the night my heat went out. When I went to check on the furnace I noticed that the top and bottom doors were left open thus, shutting off the pilot light. I struggled to get the doors back on so I called the company the next morning and at 3o’clock the next day they arrive late. I was at work but my roommate was there and told me that the same gentleman slightly kept the door closed while putting it back and left. When I returned home that evening the furnace had kicked off again and I smelled gas so called the gas company Dominion. The gas technician told me that the motherboard was slightly loose and it wasn’t reading the correct signals. He managed to get it running again stating that the gas I was smelling was just from puffs the furnace was setting off. In the middle of the night my furnace shut off again so I called Hero to let them know it wasn’t working and did not hear anything from them. I then called them back and again no answer or response. I called another heating company and they came out and told me that they believed it was the motherboard as well as everything was working properly but it wasn’t reading the correct signals. My furnace was working fine when they came here but now I am buying a new motherboard. I can’t forgive somebody forgetting to put the doors back on because anybody can make that mistake but it’s hard for me to excuse anyone kicking my equipment to shut it because I could’ve done that! Salesman really should not be messing with furnaces if they are not technicians. It would’ve been nice to get a call back but I do not trust this company right now. As a small business owner myself, I understand mistakes happen and I don’t like to write negative reviews but this is just negligence.

We had our ac/hearing unit replaced with this company, they were very professional and I believe reasonably priced. They were honest about what they felt our house would need when they came out for a quote. They also ended up upgrading our unit for free. They offer affordable financing as well. Would recommend to family or friends!

Ive only had positive experiences working with Hero Heating & Air. Pete was very responsive, friendly, and skillful. I had 6 different companies come out to my house now. Not even joking, 6. Most of them just quoted me on a new system and werent that friendly. They also assumed a lot of things instead of actually looking at my systems and measuring everything correctly. Pete has integrity and is willing to get the job done. What I respect the most is, I called him out to give me a quote but he was curious and dug right into the problem and figured everything out. He saw the fan was having an issue and quoted me on a replacement motor fan instead of replacing the whole A.C system AND furnace.Even if the whole system goes bad or whatever, itll allow us to save up a bit more money and go with Hero again to replace the system down the road. Especially if its within their guarantee, that way I can credit the fan when I replace the whole system.Last thing Ill say about Pete was that he was kind and educated me. I was asking questions about the wires, AC system, etc... And he took the time to educate me on how they operated and I felt comfortable on what he was doing. Overall 10/10 experience with Hero Heating & Air.

Hero was great to work with. I called after hearing their radio ad and they picked right up. Within a day they had someone out to give us an estimate. They were very forthright and honest about what they would provide and there we no hidden costs. They scheduled our service for 2 weeks out, but called the next day to say they had a cancellation and came out a few days later. The technician was professional and did quality work. This review is being written 3 months later and we have loved our home all summer because the AC has worked flawlessly. Thank you Hero!

Both times were very positive experiences. Their technicians are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are thorough and tidy. I was impressed with the time they took to review the work with me and let me know of any things I should be aware of on my system as they patiently answered questions.They were honest, priced fairly, offered helpful advice, and never pushed or tried to upsell me. I appreciate the service they provided! They were on time, courteous and they found a gas leak even our builder tried to deny and get out of. Thankful they came because as it turned out our furnace was built incorrectly during manufacturing and this wouldn’t have been caught and wasn’t caught by our home builder. In fact when the technician got here he told us to call our builder and find out about the one year home warranty before he touched anything, and we really appreciated that. We were so impressed and they treated us so well we signed for the one year maintenance package. Highly recommend HERO!

Israel, our tech, was outstanding. He was extremely professional and friendly. Hero, Garrett, recommended and installed a Reme Halo for allergies that were causing a havoc for our family. Received a quote and scheduled service with Hero to have central air installed. Went with them because they were going to be able to install the soonest. They showed up with the wrong coil unit which would not fit into the crawl space, even though they measured the opening when they gave me the quote. It seems the sales people were pushing the technicians to start what work they could with the plans of coming back and installing the coil later. But they had no idea when they would be able to get the correct coil. I did not let them start the work and asked that they let me know when they could get the correct equipment. It has been a week and i still have not heard back. I ended up going with another company that was able to do the work quickly with the correct equipment.My biggest concern with them was them trying to get the work started so they could secure the job, but having no idea when they would actually be able to finish the job.

The first time they can out I was having problems with my upper unit a/c they took a look and told me what was needed. I compared pricing called them to have the service done. They did a awesome job. I am afraid our Goodman Furnace they installed almost a year ago is a lemon. They have been out to repair it several times over the past few months and it seems to work for a few days to a month or so and then stop again. I hope three, or is it four will be the charm!

Israel and James came to service my furnace. They were punctual- came within the time they said they would. They were very nice and immediately got to work! I listened as they went through their checklist. They made sure everything was clean and in working condition. AND - it didn’t cost an arm and a leg! Do you want value AND quality? Good work. They arrived on time, and did the inspection that I was asking them to do. No other work was needed as they said everything looked good. There were a few upsales, but I had no problems with them.

The technician came and found the reason for the ac not starting, so that part was good. Unfortunately he also opened up the back of the ac unit by prying it open at one of the seems (it turned out that there were already access holes cut, so this was not necessary) to look at the coils. He put it back together, but the sheet metal is still deformed and is now leaking air. He quoted something like 450 to clean the indoor coils, but was strongly pushing for us to buy a new AC (which is not unreasonable based on the age of the system, but as we found out later it was unnecessary). He gave a quote without any details as to the size of the unit, brand, etc, and pushed the sale with a long “call to the boss” (think back to the last time you bought a car, same tactic)to get us a good deal or whatever, followed by pushing us for a price that we would be OK with. Since we had not shopped for this, we didn’t have a good number, especially since we had no details about the proposed system. At that point we didn’t feel like it would be wise to do further business with this company.We ended up calling another company, who cleaned the coils for about 40% less than we were quoted by this company, and that has improved the performance of the system enormously.

The tune up is really an inspection where you dont even get the findings in writing. I just purchased a home and had a tune up done ($60) which he found $1800 worth of work. This seemed a bit outrageous since nothing came up in the home inspection. I wanted to submit work to home warranty and request the work be done by Hero but as it stands I want my money back since I didnt get what was agreed upon.I reached out to the office same day, a week after, and now again with no response.BTW I got a second opinion and the system is functioning much better with a simple $200 cleaning.Update: The GM just reached out and apologized and informed me the technician who came is no longer with the company and is making steps to make it right.

These guys are Wonderful! They have helped me with heating and AC. Both times they responded quickly and was at my house working on the problem before I knew. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We had several other bids from companies on a new complete furnace and AC job installation. I wasnt impressed with the other two companies but Hero came out, specifically Ian and he impressed me. They gave me a Black Friday deal, a 2 year labor warranty, 10 year warranty on our new furnace, a new thermostat and brought our water heater and furnace piping up to code as part of the furnace installation. Really really great service! Chris did our installation and explained what we can do to prolong the life of the furnace. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Fabulous company!

This was a friendly experience. They did a great job. I did not feel pressured to buy extra things like with services past (other companies). The only thing was they were late and the communication was not the best up to getting to the appointment.

Great service call. The company sent reminders and were very good to keep me informed of the technician’s location and approximate time of his arrival. The technician arrived and explained who he was and was very polite. My was very thorough and explained everything going on with my system in detail. He provided me with several maintenance options and possible replacement options of certain parts. I was very satisfied with inspection service call.

This company came out and did a check up on three hvac units at my house. They found a leaking water line in the furnace and helped me with a repair before it caused major damage. The service individual was professional and courteous. I would use these guys again.

I have to say I am not impressed so far. I scheduled a tune up, the rep came out, did the inspection, replaced the air filter, and cleaned the outside unit. 2 days later my unit had ice/frost covering it and the unit stopped working. I turned my AC off and called the 24 hour number. I was told I would receive a call in the next hour. Never received a call. Once the frost/ice melted, I turned it back on and 2 days later again my unit was covered in frost/ice and stopped working. The unit is only 5 years old and never had any problem until after Hero came out. Lets see if they can fix their issue.

Our refrigerator wasnt cooling. They showed up within a couple hours of calling and fixed it on the spot! Great company and highly recommended.

The certified tech was nice but he informed me my ac unit was running backwards. Confirmed with his boss that this is common for older units. mine is 7 years old. Would cost $900 to fix. I quickly googled and found out 2 wires on the compositor are crossed. took less then 2 minutes to fix. I would think if you are certified and the boss is certified as well, they could have figured that out.

Our heating stopped working mid-winter and could not be fixed. We called 1st Class Comfort Heating & Air after seeing their ad on Facebook. They came the same week and the technicians were so kind, caring and helpful. They explained everything in depth and in a way that was easy to understand. We currently went through a family situation that made financial times difficult for us. The first technician, Israel, was empathetic to our situation and felt bad leaving us in the cold. So, he called the owner and he personally reached out to me immediately. He offered me a deal I could afford and they came to install the new system that same week. So grateful for their service and for being so kind to our family in a time of need.

Thoroughly enjoyed talking to Israel and was impressed with his knowledge of our A/C and furnace. Not thrilled to learn that we might need to replace our A/C unit next year to the tune of $8-10,000! Having just bought our home less than a year ago, this should have been replaced before we bought it in my humble opinion!Looking forward to reliable and knowledgeable service for the next year. A little concerned at how small the company is though. Having just purchased a year service contract, I certainly do hope that you’ll still be in business for the full year!

I called 1st class first thing in the morning after learning my furnace and water heater had both quit on me at the same time. 1st class took my call and came out same day (which is important when your house and water are cold). They were professional and great to work with. I like that they provided several options for repair/replacement and clear pricing for each option. Their work has been great so far (2 weeks). I did feel like their prices were on the higher side, but considering how long they were here working, how quickly they came out, and that they matched a competitors discount, I am happy.

If you are wed if quick service I would recommend they were able to get my center all and heating in quick.

I meant to leave a review months ago because these guys really went above and beyond to fix my AC. They came evenings and weekends to make sure they got everything done in a timely manner and this was not a standard replacement job. There was a lot of custom work done. I really appreciated that.Then 3 months later I had a slight issue and so I shot Ian a text and he came over in 30 minutes. It turns out it was a matter of flipping one switch to change a setting. He then proceeded to stay until he confirmed that that fixed the issue.These guys really do care about giving amazing service and I have experienced that. The problem was diagnosed quickly and was much more minor (and less costly) than I had anticipated. I appreciated their honestly about the solution and the timely manner in which they had my AC up and running again!

I definitely would recommend 1st Class Comfort!! Israel was very detailed and very professional in his inspection. He spoke in terms that werent confusing. He helped me to understand my furnace and the upkeep that is recommended to keep it in good running condition. During his inspection he located a towel that was left in my furnace during installation performed by a different company. I was in shock! He removed the panels and pulled out a towel!!!

We had to purchase a new furnace right at Christmas. 1st class comfort came out on Christmas eve to install it. We were so grateful because it was cold! We had a few things that we need fixed with it and they were right there. Ready to please. The price was a little high. But the service and the communication were fantastic.

Update: called the owner. He never called back. Phone number matches the one on my contract so i did leave the review for the correct place.We had multiple companies coming over for a bid. We decided to go with the Hero Ac Company due to the best prices and things that the salesman promised (like: bluetooth thermostat). The crew was supposed to come on Monday at 11 am. We got a text message on Sunday (the day before) confirming that time. We were very surprised when we got a knock on the door at 8 am and sure it was them. Even though we never had any messages saying that the time changed. So we had to rush hiding dogs, changing (since we were still sleeping) moving some last things that we were supposed to move before they were coming over. They asked few questions and got to work.2 guys were working on the project. One seemed to be texting on his phone a lot. Also had an awkward conversation about where I was from. When i told him that i was from Russia. He asked me if my husband got me off order bridal online sites. Like seriously? Who the hell ask that? Then we noticed (when they were walking back and forth) that there was a weird mumbling from both of them in regards to each other. Just the whole perception of them was not great.The whole time they were doing AC/furnace install and remove old one they were piling everything on our front yard and paper and boxes were flying to our next neighbor. At some point i saw my neighbor walking around and picking trash from her yard and putting it next to their truck. That was embarrassing.They cleaned the room where they were doing repairs but very sloppy.They left without showing anything that they had done (because they were rushing to the next job) or how to operate the thermostat that turned out was not bluetoooth like the salesman told us originally. One of them came back to remove the swamp cooler couple of days later and showed me how to work the thermostat..Overall, work is done and AC/furnace are done and they are working. It was cheaper than other companies. But the crew and they way everything happened was not so good.

My A/C went during the night and I couldnt stand the heat so I called expecting them to take a day or two to have a technician come out and check my A/C. They had a technician out to my place within an hour of me calling. The technician was very knowledgeable and found the problem quickly. He gave me 3 options and he didnt pressure me into choosing either of the other options. Im very happy with the service and the reasonable price of the repair. I will for sure use these guys if something like this happens again. Thank you!

Had a service tech come out to do an AC tune-up. I was so relieved that a tech showed up, did an awesome job, and did not try to upsell me on a bunch of services I didnt need. Ive had other AC companies come for a tune-up, only to be upsold into several hundred dollars of unnecessary repairs. I truly appreciate the job that Hero did.

Chris and Garret were our technicians that came out! They came out on a Saturday when our air had gone out on us about 5pm! They were the ONLY company who sent someone out immediately, in fact Garrett was home with his family and took the job cause he loved near us! We needed an entire new unit heating/air he sat with us walked us through every option and comparison, pros and cons with different units. Absolutely ZERO bs, they were completely transparent, and by Tuesday we had an entire new unit placed, they walked us through everything. Explained what they did, cleaned up after leaving. Incredibly friendly and easy to work with, especially since my spouse works from home! Absolutely 10 star rating! I used 1st class comfort for my annual Furnace inspection before winter and they are fantastic. Franco came over and he was very professional and did a great job explaining what he was doing. I would recommend them for any heating and air Services you may need.

Good guys (manager showed up for most of the appointment). There was no pressure to replace the components that tested out-of-spec, but they did give me 5+ options at the end to replace x only, x & y, x & y & clean z, or just pay for the check-up that I called them out to do. The system is 24 years old and hasnt been very well maintained, so I am not super inclined to dump money into it especially while covered under a home warranty. In a year I will get quotes to replace the system and theyll be one of several companies I call.

I called 1st Class Comfort when my AC wouldn’t turn on. They were professional on the phone and were able to set an appointment for the next day. I had previously changed the capacitor to no avail. The technician quickly diagnosed the real problem and had my AC running in no time. On top of that, he provided me with some pointers and checked my old capacitor to make sure it wasn’t worth keeping. I appreciated the helpfulness and honesty.

This company was awesome in so many ways, we were refinancing our home so we could replace our heating and A/C, they were having a sale on there services, but it would of ended before all the paper was done and approved, they held that price so we could get the deal when everything went thru, everyone was friendly and knew what they were doing, couldnt ask for a better service and experience buying 2 systems for the first time, I certainly recommend these guys

We had our furnace go out the day after Christmas. 1st Class Heating and Air came and quickly diagnosed the problem, and replaced our 17 year old furnace with a new one. The installation was quick, and the installers cleaned everything up before they left. They were friendly and professional.

Franco was knowledgeable and super helpful! He took a video of what was wrong with the unit and did a thorough check. One of the highest compliments I could possibly give a person is that he took time to explain and was not pushy - rest assured when time comes to replace our unit we will check with 1st Class comfort first!!

This company is phenomenal. I give them 9 out of 10 for excellence. The technician was very delayed on the previous job . Not only did he show up way past business closing time but he took the time to fully complete the evaluation. Also answering all our concerns about our air conditioning unit as well. He did not rush through any part of it. He pretty much missed dinner . He was very friendly, courteous, and informative. I would highly recommend this company for your needs. We have a followup appointment for our air conditioning unit to be tuned up. Thank you. :)

Whipple had come out to services my furnace, in fixing an issue they caused another issue. I called them twice but I was clearly on their back burner and they never showed up within the schedule two hour block.Called up 1st Class and Garrett came out the same day after hours on his way home from work and resolved the issue quickly. Was very friendly and I would highly recommend using them. I will continue using Garrett and 1st Class Comfort Heating & Air from here on out.Thanks again!

Hero Heating and air serviced two different houses for me today. I had clicked on their Facebook special for $19 for a furnace tune up and was so surprised when they really only charged me $19 for each house! I do not mind paying for good service and felt kind of bad only paying $38, especially because their tech was so fantastic and did a great job cleaning up after himself and explaining things about our furnaces. Both are getting older and when they need to be replaced I will for sure call them to do the replacement. So grateful to have found a company that has great service and integrity.

They are the best in the business! Ive used other companies in the past and it seems they take advantage. Family referred me to 1st class comfort and I will only use them in the future

The Technician that came to my house was awesome! Did his job, talked a bit about himself which was nice to be personable with since he was in my home, he did what he needed to do , told me my opinions and sent them to me so I could review them , charged me the right amount ( no hidden fees) and continued with his day, it was refreshing service.

Technician (Franco C.) was on time, friendly, very professional and took the time to explain things to me. I really appreciate that he took the time to cover his shoes every time he went in and out of my house, since its been wet and rainy. Service was fast, and just what I needed. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Technician was very prompt on making appointment time and was very courteous and knowledgeable. Only had a few suggestions to improve the efficiency of my air conditioning but it was only $49 with not a bunch of hassle or pressure. Great business I would recommend them to anyone and I will.
