If I could give zero stars I would. Went in for my scheduled 9:00 oil change/rear wiper replacement. It took 2 hours. I was charged $87 for front wipers and an oil change. When I brought it to their attention I wanted a rear wiper not front they offered to sell the front ones to me at a discounted price. Absolutely not! So they took my car again to put the old wipers back on and put a new rear wiper on. They gave me a $27 refund and told me that they left the new wipers on because my old ones were thrown away. So after all that I get back in my car and it alerts me that I need an oil change. They forgot to reset it again. Its got me so worried what else they forgot. Maybe to change my oil, tighten the filter.... come on guys, you have got to do better!

My husband and I were looking for a car in the midst of the used car shortage and were finding no luck. Anything with the year and mileage we wanted had a jacked up price point, but we still couldnt afford new cars that ticked off all of our boxes. Then we visited Petes Car Smart Kia where we met Sean. Immediately, I could tell Sean was listening to what we wanted. The first car he showed us ended up being the make and model we bought... And just so happened to have everything we needed, wanted, plus extras, in our price range! Sean never tried to push anything on us, and made us feel comfortable when we were out of our comfort zone. He encouraged us as we asked questions about finances and gave us straight answers even if it meant delivering less than ideal news. We are so happy with our experience and highly recommend Kia to anyone wondering.

I called to make an appointment to have my car fixed Chris Davenport answered the phone. Very nice guy got me in the next day. I show up to Petes Kia we were greeted right outside the parking lot by some gentlemen...I wish I would of gotten his name. He was very nice he asked what we were there for and if he could help us. We told him we had an appointment to have our car fixed. He showed us where to go...took my vehicle to the place where it needed to be. I was immediately approached by Chris Davenport he explained to me what was going to happen. How long it was going to take and if we needed to go anywhere there was a shuttle available. My mother and I chose to wait for my vehicle which it took no time at all to fix. The gentleman that greeted us in the parking lot did update me and told me that my vehicle was almost ready beforehand. That was very important to me and we appreciated that a lot. I have never been to a place with so many kind people. This will definitely bring me back here to have my car fixed. I drove here frim New Mexico and it was well worth it. Thanks guys You are great!

I can’t say enough great things about the service and quality of care at Pete’s! My husband and I purchased a truck from Petes recently and it was the quickest, easiest car buying experience we’ve ever had! From the GM and salesman bringing the car to us to check out and test drive, to the finance department, it was the best car buying experience we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a lot)! They promised after market things to us post purchase and have delivered on those promises on time and even exceeded our expectations with picking the truck up from us and giving us a vehicle to use so we weren’t without! Absolutely terrible bit of customer service my wife and I just experienced. Weve been working with Alan since Saturday on purchasing a scion tc. We had the numbers all worked out. We got a test drive scheduled for today at 11. We do the test drive. We like the car. He texts us to take our time as he has another test drive to do. Awesome, can do. Inform him were liking the car, and wed like to take it for a pre-purchase inspection. He goes radio silent after being fairly active while texting us. Then we get a call from him informing us we need to bring the car back because someone has bought it.. while we were on a test drive.. just after asking about getting a pre-purchase inspection. That is super shady, and was such a typical scumsuck used car dealer move. FiRsT CoMe FiRsT SeRve, right Alan?

I came to ask for prices only. I told the salesperson I was only inquiring and not buying. He gave me some information. When I told him I was leaving he asked me for my drivers license. I asked why and he said to contact me. I told him no and asked for his business card. He grabbed his business card and would not give it to me, he said he needs it to talk to his manager first so the manager would not get mad...what? As soon as he started to walk away, I had to leave the store running. What is wrong with these people. This experience was awful.

I enjoyed the buying experience, however pray you do not need Petes service department. I made a appointment on 6/17 for 6/25 for 8 am. I arrived 30 minutes early because I live out of town and didnt want to be late. I was asked if I needed a ride some where. I replyed no I will just wait. I was then told it could be late in the afternoon. What is the point if setting a appointment? They have no intent of keeping it and do not mind wasting their customers time. This was my 5th xar I bought from Petes and it will be my LAST.

Part manager is completely disrespectful. Bought parts, which they made me prepay, then they came in wrong. Tried to return them. SAME DAY. He said they don’t do returns. Wow. Even on their own mistakes. Then fast forward to now. He wants me to prepay on parts. I said I will pay when I pick them up because I want them to be right. I explained what happened last time. He literally laughed in my ear and hung up the phone. Very disappointing and will not tolerate that. Wouldn’t give me a name but he’s bald and has glasses. Says he’s the parts manager. Very sad.

The service center is the worst!!! Went in for a service that I thought was under my warranty. Turns out it was cabin air filter and a small piece fell off. They blew out the cabin air filter and put a p.o.s. red piece that does not even go on my car and is used. Then charged me 475 for parts and 315 for labor. Will never do business with them again. I had to go to a mechanic for air filter to be replaced they charged 160 for parts and labor

Our Kia Sorento is back in the shop for a 2nd after spending 1 week to get fixed for a coolant leak. Initially they should have had the car done on a Wednesday, due to parts not coming in (which I understands that happens) but come to find out the service manger called me the next day & said the parts made it in but didn’t have any tech to work on it. I had to keep calling just to get update hoping a courtesy call since we are a family of 3, now down to 1 vehicle! The following day they are replacing the T-stat housing & now we get a call about 2 valves needing to be replaced. Not sure how they didn’t diagnose those until 2 days later. Our Kia was finally done on Saturday. We asked for a rental compatible to our SUV due to traveling, they told us the rental would have to be turned in same day as the repairs were done which I understood but no way we could do it since we were traveling out of town. The service manger told me they could only cover $30 a day on rental, this is now Thursday evening, having had our Kia in the shop since Monday at 7AM with no estimated time of finished it. The manger called us on Friday to let us know the parts didn’t make it again & upgrade us to an SUV rental which was a plus. We recommend a call Saturday afternoon about the car finally be fixed, or so we thought.... Now my Kia is leaking oil only 5 days after being in the shop from the coolant leak. They then diagnosed the leak saying it was the oil pressure sending unit. We told them to replace it, next day they misdiagnosed it & said the sender was fine but needing to see where exactly the leak was coming from. My Kia has been in there now for 5 MORE days & still no word on diagnosis. We called & spoke with the service manger. She said she would know something in the morning because the service writer was out today, which I figure if you are the service manager you could figure out what is going on & help your customer instead of waiting for the service writer to get back to work... We asked if the radiator was leaking due to overheating & could have caused the oil leak, no response & said they were 100% sure it wasn’t from the coolant leak the first time our car was in shop. There was not an oil leak when we took it in for the coolant leak & only had the car for 4 days after having to take it in for the coolant leak. We’re going to have to pay for $500 of labor without even having a diagnosis & waiting numerous days just to wait for the service writer to return to back to work. VERY disappointed with the service of the service department, we have taken this Sorento there many times for repairs & this by far was the worst! We are looking at purchasing a new Vehicle in the next couple of months but after our experience we will be traveling to another Kia dealership or another dealership in town. Keep this this in mind when purchasing at the Amarillo location if you are a customer like me who like taking their vehicles to the certificated dealer!

My mother bought a pickup from Petes Car Smart Kia. It was a used dodge and she got a really good deal on it. As I have said it was a used pickup and it was bought as is, but once she drove it for about a week we noticed a big oil and power steering leak. I took pictures and went to location and was introduced to the sales manager Taylor Lippon I explained to him what was going on, and not once did he try and argue or disagree with my statements. He told me he would get it taken care of and that is what he and his team did! Very impressed with the customer service provided by Mr. Lippon, you dont find a company that will back their products much these days. They have defiantly earned my respect and future business. Prob. the easiest transaction Ive made in my life and thats saying a lot when buying a car. I found this vehicle online, made a call, talked with Josh and bought the truck. Josh was very helpful answered all my calls and texts. I never seen the vehicle as Im in a different state. Josh gave me as much info as he could on this vehicle. He went through all the dings that were on the vehicle as It was a used. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I got the truck delivered to my house. It was way more than what I expected. Also, I needed the truck fast as I use it for work Josh overnighted all the paperwork. I immediately sent it back. Now I have to talk about Joe who did all the paperwork I sent in. These guys are really great. Like I said I needed the transaction to be fast as I was w/o a work truck. Joe sent me everything I needed to sign, Highlighted and everything to make this as smooth as possible. I cant say enough about these guys. They were great. I will look them up again when buying another vehicle and Im from NY. Thank again Guys.

We purchased the vehicle we wanted after weeks of reviewing all options but disappointed with the way we were treated. They made us sign the papers on a Saturday but didn’t let us take the vehicle home we had to wait until Monday after they received the “drafting” form the bank. And to make it worse we didn’t get a spare key “some” used cars don’t come with them. I’m sorry but after purchasing a vehicle that is almost $30,000 your company can get us a spare made. I personally will never shop at Kia again. I promise you if this wasn’t the vehicle we absolutely wanted we would of just went somewhere else.And they didn’t even send me away with a full tank of gas!!!!

The salesman was very nice. The deal was fair. Not great but fair. However everytime I have purchased a vehicle in the past, the dealership has always filled the gas tank. Petes Car smart didnt even add a half tank. I consider that being very cheap on their part. It changed my trust outlook of this dealership completely. I would not recommend buying a vehicle there now.

Overall this seems to be a good place. I bought my first brand new car here about 8 months ago and it is still running strong. Ive come in for a couple oil changes and been treated well. The longest Ive had to wait was about 40 minutes which is okay. Ive also ordered a couple parts at the service counter and they got me exactly what I needed in a timely manner.My only complaints are..the day I bought the car I got an email reminder for a scheduled oil change that I never asked for. They also tell you to come in every 3,000 miles for oil even though my owners manual says 7,500 miles for regular service or 3,750 for severe service. I found that kind of odd so I called the service dept and they told me to come in every 3,000- 3,500 miles. No matter, I still have it done at 3,750 mile intervals. Just make sure you at least follow your owners manual to keep the warranty intact.That isnt a deal breaker for me, though. Theyve treated me well enough that I would buy another car here when needed.

SEE PICTURE! KIA service department failed to put together my cars engine cooling system correctly. KIA performed major engine repair(s) under warranty, they had the vehicle for about a month. When they put everything back together, they forgot to put a radiator hose clamp on the radiator inlet side, so when the engine got hot and pressurized the cooling system, the unclamped hose popped out and drained all the coolant. I was stranded for about an hour while a friend came to fix KIAs poor job. Took the car back to KIA the following morning so they could clean up the mess they made, re-check their work, & flush the cooling system. Hopefully no damage was done to my car. BE AWARE OF THE QUALITY OF WORK KIA DOES, POOR JOB! And this is not the first time that KIA has screwed up my car. Take your car elsewhere or do them at home!

Very pleasant experience for going to a car dealership. I didnt purchase a car because my wife decided she wanted a friends car in the end, but I was very happy with the service. My dealer was Sean and it was refreshing to work with him. He was extremely professional and down to earth. He was very quick to reply to my texts and get me the information I needed. Going to a dealer can be stressful and pushy sometimes, but you wont get that here. I would definitely recommend speaking to Sean if you get the chance, he will work with you and respect your space.

Tried to post this once and didn’t seem to go through. My wife and I live in South Texas and traveled all the way to Amarillo to buy a new Kia Telluride. This car is scarce and very popular. Many of the dealers we dealt with were trying to sell them at a huge premium, but we felt we got an excellent deal at Pete’s. We first dealt with the sales manager, John Bennet, who was very helpful. Our salesman was Alan Cruz who couldn’t have been nicer. He picked us up at the airport and spent close to two hours going over all the features on this car which are many. On our way home we logged over 950 miles and the car performed beautifully. Overall we would highly recommend Pete’s to anyone.

Great establishment! The lady there is a fantastic service advisor (Kelly, Carly, Carrie?) and was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave me some Halloween candy! Wow! Very, very, very friendly. Complimented me on my slacks twice! I think some other people work there, too. I went to Pete’s for an oil change & car wash & vacuum. I bought my car there a year ago and although it would be better to go somewhere closer to home, I decided to continue taking it in to Pete’s.... that’s the last time & when I get ready for another vehicle, I’ll probably start anywhere else!!!!! Both times I went in for my “free” year maintenance they were all so friendly and the car wash was ok, this time, well, the only friendly staff was the cashier & she was GREAT!! There’s NO WAY you can call my car was a “car wash”!! There was dirt left all around my windows & around my antenna!!!The vacuum, well, you look at the pictures & decide!!! I think I’m being too generous with my rating!!!

They have good deals on their cars , some of the salesmen go above an beyond their job title but then there is the rest.. The finance department could do a little better job and not taking so long to get answers when you go there you wait around for hours they could expedite their service a little bit and if they need help in the finance department than they need to get more than one person back there because there was one guy there and he was working three cases and so ours had to wait and by that time the banks were already closed so theyre like oh well well call you tomorrow and let you know yet here it is almost 11 in the morning and have not heard anything from them

Do not deal with Ken Cater. He is the biggest push over and doesn’t allow you time to think.We allowed him to send it to one bank but we didn’t get the best interest rate and He sent our info to banks to pull credit without our permission AFTER we had left the dealership. Talking about hard inquires on our credit ugh! We asked for time so we could go to our bank and try to get a better deal. We definitely don’t deal with push overs we understand you want toget paid. But geez!

After having a very very bad experience with another car dealership in Amarillo my husband and I decided to go to Petes Car Smart Kia and see what they could do to help us get into a vehicle. Dustin Tebo was our car salesman he was very helpful and patient in helping me find a car that the bank would help me get into, but also something that I would like and being comfortable with as well. This was my 1st time to ever buy a car through a dealership like this and get a loan. Everyone really was friendly and made sure that I knew what I needed to know and made sure I understood it as well. My husband and I were very impressed with them and WILL be back to get future vehicles for my family and I.

The sales group was really nice. I came in to have a recall performed on my car. The recall was for the valve stems on the tires. I had it fixed, and left. After driving about a 1/2 mile my tire went flat. I returned to the dealership, and I spoke with another person. He laughed and said Those valve stems are cheap, thats why you got a flat. After I told him that I just got them replaced there, he acted like I was trying to lie. I was very disappointed. Being a single mom, I cant have unreliable tires. Although I trusted the salesman, I wont be buying my next Kia there. The service department ruined it for me!

Shopping for cars can be painful sometimes. NOT HERE. Being from the DFW area I was helping my elderly parents downsize into a car. I first spoke with their pre-owned manager (John) on the phone and he listened to what I was trying to accomplish for my parents. He put me into good hands with Arthur - first class all the way around!!! I never once felt pressured or just being the next notch on their belt! They listened and presented options. My parents loved the whole process and that meant a ton to me. We drove home that night in a 2016 KIA and my folks are happy as can be. Give them a chance to wow you like they did us the next time youre looking to get into another vehicle. And, tell Arthur that I said hello!

Terrible! Sorry to say, but please dont take your car here for an oil change our any servicing, they take a very long time! I came in around 11:10 am and left at 3:30pm! Over four hours!!! I wanted an oil change and they came back and said that one of my filters needed replacing, so I said ok. Then they came back and said my breaks needed replacing, I said ok. Then they came back and said that they were having problems with their break machine, so I said dont do the rest of the work then, but they said that they had already started. Over four hours later, I finally got my car back!!! Very very frustrating! Mcgavock Nissan is very good at servicing my wifes car. I guess Ill take my car there next time, even though its a Kia! So frustrated!!!

My wife had a used Honda 2013 silver accord coupe picked out which we were happy that the salesman was able to discount to compensate for the tires that needed to be repaired and an aftermarket alarm that needed to be removed, we traveled 200 miles round trip to test drive the car and the following week we came back to Amarillo to make the purchase,but I asked if we could run it up to the Honda dealership for a quick multipoint inspection,which they were happy to do , Honda determined the timing gear chain cover gasket was leaking and the rear brake pads were almost at 0% and it would be approximately 269 for the brakes and 600 dollars to replace the timing gear gasket , upon returning to the dealership we asked if they could do the brakes at their shop and split the difference (300 dollars) for the timing cover gasket, the salesman was unable to get that extra discount so we werent able to purchase the vehicle which was priced at book value already and my wife wouldnt be comfortable driving a vehicle home in that condition for safety reasons, we were told by the very nice salesman that he would check Monday to see if Pete would be willing to make any adjustments to the price so my wife could purchase the Honda, well no calls from the salesman so we are disappointed that another customer may purchase this vehicle without getting the repairs done or even be made aware of the condition of the brakes , we really liked Al the salesman he is a great guy but very disappointed in the outcome and we hope they replaced the rear brake pads at least for the potential new owners

Josh at Petes Car Smart Kia was so helpful, I told him our budget and what we needed and he found it for me and had it transferred to their lot closest to us so we could test drive it that night. He was friendly and helpful and not at all pushy, which was a big deal to us since pushy salesmen have turned us off of other places in the past. We recommend them to anyone who is looking for a fair deal and great service!

I have had my Kia Soul serviced twice since my November 2011 purchase. Both visits have been for oil changes. I was treated courteously by the employees and was directed to a very comfortable waiting room equipped with leather chairs, flat screen tv and complimentary bottled water. I appreciate the professionalism of the dealership in my city.

We went to Petes to trade in our Crown Victoria and had no idea what kind of car to buy. We knew we wanted four wheel drive. Dustin patiently had us test drive several vehicles and we purchased a 2008 Hummer H3. As we left Petes, the radiator started to leak and Pete replaced the radiator with a brand new one. We have not had any more snow so we have yet to try out the four wheel drive, however every thing else works great.Thank you for taking the time to show us the features on so many vehicles.Dr. Luis Morton
