Its clean and the workers seem to generally want to help you. There is a kid section to keep the littles busy if you have to bring them along, the security officer seems like he enjoys the job.

The Office of Income Maintenance does not access, nor report, income accurately. I was removed from health care coverage in December 2019 due their false accusations I was earning income at Walmart and what I was not receiving in the maximum unemployment income. They most likely pulled everything from the equally-irresponsible Unemployment Compensation Service Center across the street.. Another agency using inaccurate information.

A bunch of people at some point in their life needs help in some way, shape or form. This is the place to go. Go to the office and take a number if its busy. If not tell them at the window the reasons that brought you there. They will help in any way they can. If they cant they will guide you in the right direction. I recommend this place to go and get help

I get health insurance here for 30 bucks a month. Its called MAWD I think. Medical assistance for workers with disabilities. If you work and have a medical condition you can get insurance really cheap and they cover your copays. Its a lot cheaper than the insurance at work

Compared to York CAO Im glad I moved here. Polite and caring people. Office is laid back and not so crowded you have to plan a day trip.

So... The caseworkers @ this place were always less than helpful. .... Not on purpose, i dont think, but u would get a letter w/directions n need to accommodated appointment. But luckier than most we were able to b flexible. Our most recent caseworker, ms. Drake, has been so efficcient and so very helpful in our unusual medical case that i am grareful that blair county employs such competent employees.

The Assistance Office can be a pain to visit with long lines and lomg wait times. The best time to go is early jn the morning. I believe they open at 7 or 7:30. That is when you should go if you do not have an appointment. They are as helpful as they can be. You can also apply for LIHEAP right at the office and they process your application quickly.

Decent if you go in person. Over the phone is a joke. The person I was talking to (wont name names) didnt know the answer to one of my questions so put me on hold, then hung up on me. Tried calling back 3 times to which she picked up the phone and hung it back up because she didnt know the answer to my question. Wth? I also needed to know if they need our pay stubs because Im trying to update our info for our insurance, but now my calls are either being ignored or I get hung up on. Rude.
