Highly unprofessional talks about clients, if you ask them to hold a minute so you can make sure appointment date will work for you. Its to bad the secretary is so unprofessional. The vets are great and very nice our 3 dogs love them. But I will not give my business to a place that allows this disrespectful behavior in their staff.

I first became a pet patient parent at this clinic about 8 years ago when no one in the Johnstown area would take my chinchilla seriously, at Lakemont they went above and beyond. When he developed a terminal illness, they helped me understand the situation and helped me to take care of him in his final days (pain free of course), no one pushed me into making any decisions or rushed me. They all gave me the time and care that my pet and I deserved. I now take my kitties here and I honestly would never ever go to another vet. They are the best, Im willing to drive an hour and pay whatever price for their incredible care.

I have taken all three of my cats to them over the years (2 currently). The staff is very friendly but professional. The maintain a strict appointment schedule and are very reasonably priced for the area. I would recommend them to anyone with cats! (I cannot speak on other animals, to be fair)

My family has been taking our pets to LVC my entire life. Ive since moved away and have been fortunate that my own pets needed nothing more than annual exams for the past 8+ years. Now that they are aging and require acute care, I still often return to LVC because I know that they provide quality services at extremely reasonable prices. The entire office staff is kind, caring, and willing to answer countless questions from this helicopter dog-mom. Theyve even assisted in coordinating care with my local vet and local emergency vet, making a typically painful process much easier than I expected. Most recently, they performed a difficult procedure on what we now know is my anesthesia-sensitive dog. The outcome could have been very different at another practice, but today he is happy and healthy thanks to LVC, and I am very grateful.

I just moved to the area and my pup was sick. Because shes not an established patient, they turned her away! Went to sylvan instead. Turns out she is diabetic. Had I waited until Monday like this place suggested, shed be dead. If you have an emergency, DONT GO HERE!!!

Ladtthtat answered the phone wouldnt even give me an appointment. Im trying to find a vet for my fathers dog, his up and left with no notice, this lady was very ride and wouldnt even let me talk wouldnt want my pet around someone like that any way

Weve been with LVC for years. They are great with our pets. Theyve responded to emergency situations quickly and got us in to see the Dr on short notice when it was needed.

During this pandemic they have been very accommodating with my precious kitty! Kim especially, is down right amazing and helps me with whatever I need and has outstanding customer service! Thank you for being amazing!

Horrible experience. This was a few years ago. I took my 6 month old kitten into the vet. He was lethargic and not eating. They were about to close. The vet rushed me into euthanasia and rushed me out the door. He didn’t discuss treatment options or even act like he cared. When I was crying, holding my dead kitten, he gave me about 10 minutes before he told me I had to leave. I chose to have my kitty cremated, and when I called to see if I could pick up his ashes a few days later, I learned he was given to someone else, not me. “Oh I’m sorry” is all I got. Even though my name was on his paperwork.. Absolute trash facility and I wouldn’t recommend bringing your animal there unless you have literally no other options and even then I’d be weary.

Ive taken my guinea pigs here twice now and each time theyve worked so well with my piggies. My one pig is shy and gets scared so she in turn starts squealing loudly. The vet remained calm and took great care of her. Staff is friendly and wonderful .

Very caring vets who have watched over our dogs and cats for years. They cried with us when it was time for our fuzzy loved ones to leave us. The vet tech was very helpful and took lots of time to talk about cat care when I recently adopted. They took care of a tiny injured stray kitten we found quickly and with great compassion.

The few times I have been here over the years Its always been a problem. Its only when my vet is closed or out of town I come here then instantly regret it. Got charged 10 times the amount for a topical i found on Amazon.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This place doesn’t care about animals AT ALL. It’s about the money for them, everything is soo expensive for the sub par vet care that you will receive here. Not to mention this office is the reason my friends dog had to be put down this week and why my cat passed away. Do yourself and your fur babies a favor and go to a different vet, anywhere but this death trap. **Their staff is also EXTREMELY rude**

The staff here is incredibly nice and caring. We adopted a rescue dog and thanks to all the wonderful care he received from LVC, he is now happy and healthy. The staffs love for animals is very apparent and I wil recomment them to everyone I know. 👍👍

Took my cat, Cupid, to see them for the first time today and they were so friendly with him!

They have a 100% markup on medications, charge unnecessary fees for pretty much everything, and half hearted care- they don’t explain anything.If you want to spend a lot of money for zero explanation, go here. I DO NOT recommend this vet.

They were very kind and accommodating and treated our kitten like family. They answered our questions and explained things very well and with understanding. Very fast and timely too.

This is a terrible practice, I took my dog there 3 times in a little more than a month and they never once tested her for anything... a simple blood test could have saved my dogs life, but instead they just assumed. Now my baby is fighting for her life due to kidney failure from limes disease which I asked about... Do yourself and your furry babys a favor and take them to a real vet.

Awful staff. My dog recently passed away unbeknownst to Lakemont Vet so they called me to schedule his follow up vaccines. When I let them know that he had passed, their exact words to me were You must not have come here when he died. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I have been coming there for YEARS, spent TONS of money there and thats how they treat me?! Thats what you say to someone whose dog just died? SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I will NEVER take another pet there ever again. They have zero clue what the circumstances surrounding his death were nor did they even care. UNREAL.

This was by far the worst vet experience I have ever had. I took multiple cats there as I foster animals. They had to be treated twice for ear mites and worms. I was charged a visitation fee each time and charged for the medicine which never worked. I knew something was up when I had to take one of my cats back a third time for additional antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. I told them he still was sick and not getting any better in addition to the fact he appeared to still have all the issues he had at the first visit. I also pointed out he clearly still had ear mites. They told me he didn’t have ear mites and they tested it and it was just left over ear dirt. In addition they told me he was just a tough customer and he would need to build up his immune system because the antibiotics were strong and just weren’t working because his immune system was no good. When really I think their meds don’t work.And let me tell you this place is not cheap. They charge double what other vets do. So I got frustrated and took him to a new vet. Surprise surprise. He has all the same issues as the first visit. And he indeed still had ear mites. Three days on antibiotics and medicine at this new vet and he’s 100 percent better. I spent 80 dollars at this vet to be cured of all his issues versus 400 at the other vet for him still to be sick.So the reason I am posting this lengthy review is to keep other people from being cheated out of money to see no efficient care for their pets. Not even the basic of care. This vet clinic =shady as they appear to employ tactics to milk you of as much money as they can.

Our 9 1/2 year old Lasa /Spits mixed hurt his back on Tuesday. I called them the next morning and they where able to squeeze us in. Once we got there Dr. Piper and the technicians where wonderful. Dr. Piper explained everything in great detail as well as potential worse case scenarios. I am extremely pleased with the care that they provided and will be using them for now on.

They were very fast and accommodating. I call on Monday and they got me in on Tuesday for my cats exam and update shots . Also he needed medicine for his eyes they explained throughly and showed me how to give it to him with ease ! I would recommend them to anyone !

I love this Clinic. You absolutely get what you pay for when is comes to the care of your pets. I have two cats. One who is no trouble at all and one cat who is very high maintenance. My Trouble cat hates going to the vet because he is a bottle fed kitten and doesnt like to be out of his element. The staff here make take their time with him and make sure he is as comfortable as possible. Never have I seen a clinic that will take this much time in making sure my pets are healthy both mentally and physically. I would recommend this vet to anyone but especially if you have a troubled pet.

LVC has been my choice for 3 decades. The compassionate care shown to my furrbabies over the years has been tremendous. Highly recommend them!

Not very helpful with a stray cat situation. Not willing to give any samples or do any thing without extra charges. Very expensive.

Called to make an appointment. Lady that answered was rude and has attitude when I was trying to get information to make an appointment. Asked a friend about them, and she said they’re usually like that. If they can’t treat their clients with respect and with commo courtesy, how can I trust with my dog?
