Angela has helped me with all four of my children. Since 2014 she has helped me check for tongue and lip ties with each of my babies. (All of them were tongue tied). I went to see Angela for my 2 week old son. I was using a nipple shield due to nipple soreness/pain I was experiencing while breastfeeding without the shield. Angela worked with me and helped me figure out a great way to get my son to latch without a nipple shield and no soreness! I’m a new mom and was hoping to breastfeed. My knowledge of breastfeeding is limited and wanted to hire a lactation consultant to give me and my little one the best opportunities for the best breastfeeding experience. My general doctor recommended Angela at Basking Babies to help with latching without a nipple shield. The hospital had me start using one the first day without having me try much at all to get him to latch. The shields are a pain and caused me to get a clog which lead to mastitis. Latching without the shield was painful as he wasn’t getting a good latch.Angela helped me with a very effective technique to get my baby to latch right away. I have not had to use the shield since I saw her which had been great. She also calls to follow up with the progress and answer any additional questions or concerns you may have.I highly recommend seeing her for anyone having latching issues or experiencing pain while latching.

Maybe great for some families, not the best experience for me. I called Angela when I was in a very desperate place trying to get my 5 week old to feed (and we were battling reflux ugh). I specifically asked about tongue/ lip tie - she had me hold the flashlight while she checked and then said he didnt have one and everyone thinks their baby has one and really no babies do. I trusted her and moved and tried the things she suggested. This was just before Covid shut everything down so we entered a period of time when I couldnt really go to the pediatrician. Once I could take him (4 months later) she said lets check for ties -- I said I had already had it checked out. She looked and was shocked anyone would tell me he didnt have one. We got it revised and he was a brand new baby (slept all night that night and 75% better sleeping after).This may not seem like a big deal, but if youve had a baby that is suffering from reflux and WILL NOT sleep - you get it. Everyone is human but when I called her later to let her know what had happened - she didnt even know who I was and pulled up my file and it was the wrong one - just not impressed. Do yourself a favor and contact Amy from Before And After birth - she gets it.

HIGHLY Recommend! Only regret is that I didnt see Angela sooner! I wish I would have met with her while I was pregnant instead of waiting until I was having breastfeeding challenges - fortunately after 1 meeting and 2 phone calls she got me on the right track and everything has been great since!

I am so thankful for finding Basking Babies! I was determined to breastfeed my twins and Angela helped me so much through my twins’ breastfeeding journey. Angela made me feel like a great mom doing a great job in those tender and emotional postpartum weeks. She made me feel comfortable to ask any questions. I had toe curling pain with each one the entire time I breastfed. I called Angela and she was so empathetic and made sure to meet with me within 24 hours. Pre-covid she came to my house and during covid we met virtually. She worked with me on different holds and positioning of the baby to make for the least painful experiences. It took a few days to heal but the results were day and night and helped me make it to a year with both babies which was my goal. I probably would have quit by a month without her advice. I inquired about a lip tie with my first because she had a very tight frenulum but Angela said as long as she was feeding ok then it would be best to leave it. Our pediatric dentist later confirmed this saying exactly the same thing that it is best to leave it unless it interfered with feeding.I recommend Angela because she is highly knowledgeable and she helps you to feel confident in your breastfeeding experience!

Angela was amazing we went to her when baby was three weeks old he had a lip tie. She got us off the shield. She also got me through mastitis. It was a eventful week and was super sleep deprived when I went to see her. She helped not just me but my husband learn how to be successful in our breastfeeding journey. Today he marks 5 weeks old breastfeeding like a champ and even starting to get those adorable baby chucky legs.

I had such a great experience working with Angela. I called Angela because I was struggling to wean my 8-week-old off a nipple shield. She said 8 weeks was pretty old and that she was not a miracle worker, but that she could try. In a last ditch effort, we drove over an hour to see her and were so happy we did. She got my baby to latch on the first try and with a few pointers I was able to get her to latch too. I was so impressed with her knowledge and expertise. She was wrong about one thing, though-- she is a miracle worker. Angela came to our rescue with our first child over two years ago. She was born at 34 weeks and we were still struggling with breast feeding even after 17 days in the NICU. Our daughter wasnt gaining weight well, I was using a nipple sheild, had low supply and was still in so much pain! I was about done breast feeding when I was pointed in Angelas direction. My son was in the NICU for 2wks and was only tube and bottle fed so his latching wasnt up to speed.
