I have moved into new construction. NEW construction, so new that I am the 1st in a subdivision of a proposed 100 or more. Home was waiting, except for the finishing touches when my home of 20+ years sold quicker than I ever imagined. Within a couple days. This was house # 4 in my life where it was my 1st time buying/selling the home without my husband of 48 years. Pretty uneducated on the subject. Moved into a mess where bugs are concerned. I couldnt take any more spiders, red ants, roaches, earwigs, beetles, hornets, sewer gnats and crickets- I dealt with ALL these types of bugs and more , INSIDE my house in the past 3 months than Ive had in ALL of my 66 years of life! The worst being the Southern Black Widows that Id never seen in my entire life. Scary. I now have High Blood Pressure and Panic Attacks as a result. It has taken Orkin 13 weeks thus far to reduce the number of really scary bugs to a minimum but finally have gotten some control so I can sleep without nightmares. Had I only known someone who couldve warned me about moving into a large mass of earth that would be constantly moved and churned around while I live on that mass, I couldve saved myself LOTS of stress, anxiety and $$$ buying bug sprays of all kinds from Amazon. They have been honest to tell me that until I have a cushion around me of 2 streets of built homes as a barrier, things will not go away.

Juan Carlos is the best tech Orkin has he is diligent and on time he also takes pride in his work and cares about his customersHe has excellent customer service skills however hired and trained him did a phenomenal job besides the fact of his own caring ways and personality!

Edit to reflect current opinion: Jay is great like I said, however despite his efforts we were not able to eradicate the issues with constant pests (ants). because I was not happy with my service I asked for a waiver of service cost because in the few visits that were done I feel like the job was not what I expected. Whenever it was not what I expected I would try to have a manager come out to deal with it. Unfortunately they would not waive any fees and I was told that the pass will never be completely gone. My family and I are changing locations for six months for business and While I Would expect an extermination company to exterminate the problem I was told that it will never 100% be completely gone. The new baby ants have now moved into my bathroom and are crawling all over the bathtub the sinks in the floor. And apparently I owe Orkin $200 for this result. I really don’t feel that it’s fair because the issue has not been removed and I thought that’s what a pest control company does. I thought that’s why I’ve been paying them $50 a month for over six months . Anyways I just decided to order some optiguard on Amazon Which has rave reviews to see if I can deal with it myself. I was also told that the service will not be canceled until I pay them the $200 which seems a little fraudulent to me because you cannot continue charging someone for a service they no longer want.Previous review: manager Jay has always made sure we are satisfied customers. He understands that we are investing money into this service and expect a certain result. He will take time out of his management day to visit our home himself and address the issues if I am unhappy. In my opinion he’s one of the most knowledgeable people at Orkin and you can tell he is passionate and well educated about his field. He represents his company in the best manner and doesn’t shy away from working the field as a regular service member. Honestly he is the reason I stay with Orkin even though we’re still having constant issues.

This was the first time Ive used Orkin. I scheduled my appointment with Miranda and she was so kind and helpful. She answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Then Daniel arrived at my home within the 2 hour window I was given. He treated my home and inspected for signs of an infestation, thankfully there were none. Like Miranda, Daniel, was very upbeat and kind. He answered some more questions I had and was able to easily identify a type of ant I found. Their knowledge really put my mind at ease. Orkin should be proud that Miranda and Daniel are representing their company.

They responded quickly and set up an appointment quickly. I did have to point out the nest that initiated the service; the tech said he saw wasps coming out of that area and wondered which made me wonder how detailed a job was done. The service was friendly and the tech was friendly. The company also kept me updated with when a tech would arrive; the communicated arrival wonderfully.

I am not very happy with Orkin (not the serviceman). They are supposed to let me know ahead of time when the tech will come (two hour window). Did not get so waited around for tech to come or get notice of time frame. Nothing. Finally I called the tech , left message. Few minutes later he shows up at my door about the time I needed to leave. He had been in ER for several hours . Now I am sure he would have notified the office to let them know so why couldnt the office notify me that he was detained ????. Again NOTHING!!!! I am ready to change companies as I am really annoyed at the poor customer service. Again, I am NOT blaming the service tech as he is very polite and tries his best to give us good service but the office is bad news .

Steven’s very efficient and nice. He was early and performed quickly outside and inside the house. He inspected around the house for any spider web or warp nest around the house too. Very nice!

I am very happy with the service I receive from Will Redden and Bruce Feeny. They are always pleasant and competent in looking after my lawn and garden. I can highly recommend Orkin services and especially my two service representatives.

My wife and I have had our restaurant in downtown Sanford for 2 years now. Benny has been servicing us since day one, and we couldn’t be happier. We try and do as much preventative cleaning as possible , but being in Florida and being a restaurant every once in a while something will arise. As soon as we notify Benny he is on it , and the problems disappear! I should note that our building is extremely old as well, but he keeps us pest free and is always courteous, professional, and prompt. I couldn’t tell you if they are the cheapest around because honestly, I’ve never even thought about shopping another company. This is one thing that we just don’t have to worry about. I wish all of our vendors were this reliable.

I usually dont go out of my way to write bad reviews, because I respect the fact that everyone is just trying their best. However, my experience with Orkin has been so bad this last year, I must say something. I have been using their services for about three years now. Their products work. I will absolutely give them credit for that. I barely saw bugs after being serviced. Unfortunately, the customer service is absolutely terrible. I have called in to schedule appointments for a specific time and day, and the service provider will still come at a random time to do the service. Not only that, they would charge me and blame me for not being available for a time I did NOT schedule the technician to be there. For example, I scheduled a technician to come on the 28th in the afternoon and he came on the 17th of July at 8am in the morning. Then, charged my account for a service he did NOT provide.Now that it is time for me to move I scheduled someone to come out to spray my new place before I will move my stuff over. There was a time estimate between 2-4pm. I stayed there all the way until 5, and no one showed up. I even called the office several times to get an ETA and no one answered or called back after leaving a message.I have had to call them several times over the last three weeks to get an issue resolved only to be met with attitude every time I get on the phone with someone. I even had one woman put me on hold while I was in the middle of a sentence, and I started to hear hold music while I was still explaining the situation. Good customer service is about taking accountability and not blaming a customer for your shortcomings. I will never do business with Orkin again. Their services cost too much money for me to get the attitude I get when I am calling to fix THEIR mistake. If you choose to work with them, I hope you are a patient person. They might get rid of the bugs, but if there is ever an issue to resolve, they will not be very friendly or helpful.

I called Orkin this morning and they said they could come out today and do pest control for my home. John came out to do my pest control and he was on time and very professional. He called me when he was on his way to let me know he was heading to my house and I appreciate that. He did such a great job and was so professional that I dont want anyone else to do my house. Our inspector was wonderful and has been very quick to respond to my messages. He was very thorough and thoughtful during his inspection. The two technicians that came out to do the first treatment where very friendly and professional. They were a little later than their arrival window but life happens. If you have to take off work for them to be there it might be a bigger deal. I did have to ask them to put out the baits and monitoring traps in addition to the liquid treatment. So just remember to ask your technicians to do that. Other than those two concerns Im very happy with them.

We love Orion and the services we get. They are extremely professional and get down to what the issue is and handle it.

Setting up a monthly service was quick and easy. The customer rep explained everything throughly. We were able to set up an appointment within a few days. The technician explained what he was doing and was prompt and when completed explained everything he did.

I am glad Stephen is servicing my house again. Some of the other workers have left me with a very uncomfortable feeling. Please work to carefully screen individuals who are representing your company. Also, I trust Steves expertise. Some individuals Ive encountered have not exhibited the same knowledge and expertise that Stephen has.

Its a shame that such a respectable company has to have a couple bad apples that make it bad for those who do a good job. Its not the first time I call and get bad customer service, however todays call just made it for me. I called today to move my automaticly generated appointment for later in the day because I didnt realize they had booked it for the morning and my appointments are usually in the afternoon. The rep who answered moved it but after she THOUGHT she hung up the phone she started saying, and I quote:Im over these people calling and moving appointments... and then she kept on saying: theres no note in the system her appointments are in the afternoon. They just make s**t up on the fly, you know what I mean? Ill make a permanent note that says its the afternoon but I wonder what would happen if we just stopped answering the phone. They would have to take their appointments as they are...I tried telling her I could hear her but she just kept complaining to another male coworker and I guess she couldnthear me. Needless to say, she messed up my morning so I called back to cancel the service completely. I just wonder why she took the job if she thinks its not necessary for her to take these kinds of calls. Such a bad experience. No one should have to go through that. Orkin just lost a referring customer.

We use Orkin’s Lawn Service. We have been with them for years and they do a wonderful job maintaining our yard. We have a regular lawn maintenance guy come out each month who is very knowledgeable and nice. He answers all our questions and gives us some feedback on what we can do to help improve our lawn. I would definitely recommend Orkin if you are looking for lawn care.

A good meeting with staff, but the orkin rep. showed up with no mask and when asked said he has not been vaccinated. Not a good response.

Orkin has always been in my opinion a reputable company, my first pick without looking in the book, just because of their reputation. Very disappointed by the trickery in billing and the fact that they accept anyones credit card without an id. Nevertheless, they did try to rectify the situation...

My first experience with this company. The technician was prompt and very thorough in his explanation of his treatment if the property. He shared what we should expect afterwards and what future visits would entail. He was vey attentive as my tenant discussed the issues with pests. We felt reassured with the treatment plan.

I was freaking out a little when I realized I would need to get someone in for an inspection, but they were great, I was able to get something scheduled very quickly, and then get treatment done. Jonathan was on time and very professional. My only problem was that he was unable to perform the second treatment I needed with putting the holes in the wall and fumigation back there to flush out the roaches and I have family coming into town in 2 days. The other issue I have is that I called multiple times to the office telling them that I needed the paper traps Two for each room and this is the second time they came unprepared to do so. Now I have to wait till after my family comes in order to get the services I need. I am on disability and in alot of pain. Preparing to remove all items necessary for them to do their job is painful and hard for me. I would appreciate being notified with an appropriate amount of time.

Juan my technician is incredible! Super friendly and knowledgeable. He went through each step of the pest removal process. What he was using and how it will effect the pest. He made me feel confident that he could help me with my pest problems. I would suggest him to every one I know.

The representative from this company performs monthly pest control services within the appointment time in an efficient and careful manner. The firm notifies us via text that they are on the way, which gives us ample time to get our pet inside. They typically treat the outside of our home and weve rarely seen insects inside our home over the years. The only thing a little wonky is the billing cycle; are we paying ahead, or for services rendered? We cant seem to keep it straight based on the billing timetable. Maybe its just our lack of understanding. Perhaps more clarity on the invoicing would help, for services rendered or for upcoming services to be performed.

They were extremely professional, very conscientious about the finer things in the home, they wore masks and shoe covers and we’re very very knowledgeable efficient and kind!

Months ago I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get an immediate appointment with Yadin to inspect my home. A particularly nasty infestation of German roaches had encroached on my townhome from the rented unit next door. After those individuals were evicted their infestation became mine when the exterminator chosen to clean that infestation used a repellant instead of other methods of control and elimination. Since that time I have marveled at the expertise of inspector Yadin on his first inspection visit and the go the extra mile service of Service Manager Jay who was pinch hitting for my regular technician on one visit. My regular technician, Stephen Ortiz, has been stellar in his regular service and approach to the permanent removal of these nasty bugs. Stephen is so professional in his work, always on time, and a customer service natural! He is polite and cheerful and excellent in his performance. We have now eliminated about 98% of the infestation and the occasional straggler I see is moving very slowly or dying in its tracks. Just the results I wanted! I look forward to Stephens continued visits and his charming company.

The inspection was thorough and the treatment for the subterranean termites was just performed. My wife and I were pleased with the process and believe the treatment will eliminate the termites

Daniel who was our service technician went above and beyond to ensure that he got every inch of the house and by day two I have yet to see any additional bug in the house and the ones I do see are dead, extremely happy with the customer service and every thing Orkin has offered, I truly recommend their services if you have any home pest problems.

I have tried to cancel twice and the first time I was talked into staying by the manager who assured me I would have service on December 26th. Since I’m a teacher, I can’t be home before 5. They then rescheduled it to the 15th it January, then to the 21st. I am on vacation until the 22nd so not only did they not come on the 21st, they came today, the 20th. I do not understand why they could not do what they said they would (come from 4p-6p) and why they were always rescheduling. I’m sure a lot of people love this company but due to their unprofessionalism, I will not be using them again.
