This place is like a hidden gem! Dom, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and Cassie was very helpful and accommodating. When I had a last-minute travel date they were able to get my duffle bag taken care of a day early so that I could take it with me. As someone who has recently gained an appreciation for leather goods, I could quickly tell that theyre passionate about what they do. Almost two years ago I had luggage that needed to be repaired and drove to Altamonte Springs to see if this company could repair it. They were able to repair the luggage and did it so professionally with sincere concern. Fast forward to a month ago having returned from a trip and this time the wheels really did come off. Once again I drove from downtown Orlando to their place in Altamonte Springs and they promptly replaced the wheels at a very fair price. I then asked if they might consider repairing my briefcase that had some serious issues on the inside of the bag. The owner said let me give a try and he did. I picked up the briefcase the other day and it looks wonderful. Problem fixed that took incredible talent to complete this work. I will be a customer for life. Great workmanship, great attitude and great service.

THEY DO PURSES, TOO!I called Dom, the owner, when my Loungefly purses straps snapped in multiple places. He was so friendly, and he asked me to come in to take a look. He helped me get a good custom job for it, replacing the old handles with real leather thats softer and more flexible than before. Even though i didnt mention it Dom found a bit of gunk on the bottom i hadnt been able to removed while doing repairs and he cleaned it off at no extra charge. Couldnt be happier to have my favorite purse back, definitely would recommend!

Thanks to COVID, I spilled alcohol-based hand sanitizer on my designer leather tote bag and thought for sure it was ruined. It looked like it had been bleached white by the stain! Jamestown repaired my work messenger bag that I’ve had for 6 years after a zipper broke. Did a lot of research on who has the best service quality and hands down they were top rated, so I trekked about an hour to their shop.I was seen in 2-3 min from walking in the door, and had my bag back completely repaired in 10-12 min. It looks brand new! The zipper was BROKEN, like I thought maybe not repairable and they did an awesome job. They kept the same zipper pull so it matches my bag perfectly.Very happy customer.

EDIT: got my suitcases handle fixed in June, it hasn’t even been 3 full months, and it already broke.... and this is after I was told they would give me a handle better than Swiss gear since they don’t carry Swiss gear parts.My original handle lasted me 3 years....——I took in my Swiss gear small carry on Thursday before a two week trip on Monday, I knew that replacing the retractable handle could take from a few days to a week depending on the brand and if they had parts. So I had planned to use it for my trip if it was done in time. When I took it in I was so happy because I explained this to her and was told that they dont carry or use swissgear but that theyll end up using this better brand, and that they had it in store so that theyll have it done ASAP and Ill get a call before closing on Saturday. The lady that took my order was so sweet and reassured me it would be great and on time. However, I never did get a call at all, went on my trip and almost three weeks later still no call. So I called them and apparently it was done and ready for pick up, they just never notified me. I picked it up and the handle seems a bit weak, flimsy and not really new. It is delsey brand, which I havent heard of before so not sure how it compares to swissgear. Im taking it on this upcoming trip, and hope it holds but will keep review updated. Just a bit discouraged that I cant trust it despite it just being changed, I did get good reviews from other flight attendants about this place so maybe my situation was just a fluke.

These guys are great! I took a TravelPro garment bag in to be repaired; told me it would have to be sent to the manufacturer to determine if it could be fixed and explained why they could not do it locally. Got a call yesterday saying that they had been told it would be replaced and I got the new bag today. Love their straight-forward honesty and professional (and very friendly) attitude.

I recently had my leather handbag repaired at Jamestown Shoe and Luggage and their work was outstanding. The owner reinforced the straps with extra stitching. He even cleaned up my handbag to remove the scuffs. His pricing was VERY reasonable and customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for all repairs....affordable, great customer service and on time repair work. These qualities are hard to find in a repair shop.

Best place to take my husbands shoes. The repair last a long time. Of course it all depends on the type of shoes he has, but Im glad we dont have to run to the mall to buy a new pair. I took my Travelpro suitcase for warranty repair since it was a manufacture defect and that was Dominic’s opinion based on his experience. I needed the prong for my buckle on my shoe replaced so I reached out to Jamestown Shoe and Luggage Service on Wednesday. I dropped the shoe off within a few hours and then picked up the repaired shoe by noon the next day! Phenomenal and speedy service!! Thank you guys!!

I took a garment bag to them as one of the rivets had come undone. Having never had luggage repaired I can’t say if the price was high but I was promptly waited on and given a date to return to pick it up. Haven’t had any issues with the bag since. I drive out of my way to go to this shop because of it’s high ratings and I wasn’t disappointed.

They repaired a wheel on my suitcase and that same wheel broke again 4 DAYS LATER. It didn’t even last me one flight. When I emailed asking for a refund, they said I would have to bring it in to get repaired again and they don’t give refunds. I do not live in Orlando, was only there for work, so I cannot return. The fact that they’re not refunding their extremely poor work (seriously, 4 days) is absurd. Do not trust this company to give you quality work or customer service. So disappointed.

I had six pair of high heels that needed new bottom caps put on the heel part of the shoe. Every single pair that I got back from them was rounded and wobbly. I was unable to wear the shoes!! Dont waste your time or money here. They dont know what they are doing.

I have been using this shop for years and loved it. Today I went in and was simply shocked at how the woman at the counter behaved towards me. I inquired about prices and she developed an instant attitude and then told me I had never been there before. I said what are you talking about I have been coming here since we moved here in 2007 and she said that is a lie because I have never seen you before. Really????? I will for sure spread the word to any and everyone to never ever go there again. Pretty gutsy attitude in a crappy economy.

Had golf shoes soles reglued . Soles separated 1 year later. Owner claimed to have pulled off soles completely and glued. Took to Altamonte Shoe Repair and found that wrong glue was used and soles were Not completely removed. Poor quality - Will never go back

I always give a company a 2nd chance...with that being said here is my review. Im a commercial account and last year I had 287 pairs of shoes repaired. (At another store) This year I tried to find a better place to take my shoes. Sadly this company is far worse then the other one I was trying to leave. My repair work is very minimal as its primarily only a glue job. One I would be happy to do on my own if I could buy the right glue, but I dont have access to it. The first job I gave them was 7 pairs of shoes. When I came in to pick them up, it was as though the work had not been done. The heels were still loose or half on. All I was given was excuses, then charged for ALL of them including the ones that were not done! I brought them back to my own store and had to use Walmart superglue to do a quick fix. This got me threw the use I needed, but not a long term solution. My next visit (this morning). I brought them 4 pairs and was informed that the ONLY person capable of GLUING the heels on was on vacation until the following week and when he returns would not be able to get to my shoes for weeks as he has hundreds of things to do. The rude lady at the counter would not even accept my shoes or work with me...remember last year I had 287 pairs worked on. Thats good money to somebody! As a business owner, If I have that much business. I would not go on vacation unless I had staff to keep the customers happy and orders moving along. To sum it up, this company is BAD...poor quality work and extremely rude.

I sent my grandson here to have a wheel fixed on his Travelpro luggage (an authorized dealer) . When he picked it up the wheel didnt turn. He told the girl at the counter, who was a bit sharp and her response was, you have to put clothes in it for weight and than it will work! Well it has never worked and now the entire wheel has come apart. We will not go back there and from other reviews the girl at the front needs to be replaced. We are in South Florida now, so I have to find another place to get it fix and another expense.
