I went to cash a small loan check. They asked me how did i get the check and why did I have it. What business is it of theirs? The manager said hes gonna have to call to verify it. Its Saturday loan places arent open all day!!!!! I went to the one on 112th and Western and they took care of me. The Currency Exchange in Alsip needs to be closed because they are unprofessional and maybe borderline prejudice

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced . Julie is the most rudest unprofessional “worker” I have ever met ! You need to evaluate who is working for your companies . She sat there and told the lady next to her I was rude, I ignored her because I am in a rush . Then she proceeded to tell me her boss said that my check couldn’t be cashed when I asked why she said I just told you ! Rude ! I will be following up with the person in charge cause this is unacceptable.!Edit went to the currency exchange in Tinley Park . No issues and check was cashed without all those antagonistic questions

My bank is withholding my stimulus check because i had my info notarized at this currency exchange, and the notary is not an active notary in the state of Illinois. I thought it was a bank error until i called this exchange to see what was going on, and their actions proved that something unethical is going on at this currency exchange. 1st they would not allow me to speak to a manager, Apparently you can only talk to a manager between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. I explained I have a doctors appointment the next day at that time, and this needs to be handled can they call the manager, and she refused to. I asked her to take my phone number and have the manager call me and she refused . I asked The woman I was speaking to several times For her name and she would not give it to me. After insisting for her name she hung up on me. I called back 4 times only to be hung up on 4 times. And the 5th time I called a woman name Nicole answered the phone and she was the notary. She explained that she is not expired but she would not tell me that she is active in the State of Illinois and again I cannot speak to the manager. She kept telling me of her license is not expired and would not understand that that is not the problem. You are not licensed in this state to do business and now I am out of 1200 and being investigated for fraud. Please save your money, sanity, and dignity by not dealing with this abhorrent customer service, but they just might be doing illegal things, so why would they speak to you anyways. Hopefully i get a call back from Pam Zeckman from chanel 7 news because thats how far this has come. After making this i did a google search for notary varification in Illinois. I can now say with 100% confidence that the woman named nicole that they have acting as a notary in the Alsip currency exchange is not a certified notary in the state of Illinois.

I went to this currency exchange to register a boat. I also realized I needed to register a trailer while there. I couldn’t have had a better experience. This is all because of Sam.Just as background, I probably went to 5 currency exchanges that day, called about 10 more. Not all currency exchanges can register boats, I learned. When I called this location to ask if they register boats, a sweet voice answered the phone, “Yes. We are open until (I forgot the time) and I will help you.” I answered with “ok, who do I ask for?” “Sam, but don’t worry, I’m the only one working here.” I didn’t even get there and already had a 5-star experience.Sam is absolutely amazing. I was overwhelmed from my 62 hour work week as a nurse during COVID-19 and simply exhausted. Sam helped me understand the process: she gave me down to earth instructions and steps, highlighted things on forms for me, and wrote out a step-by-step list of things that needed to be done. There were two lists and each set of forms separated in order. Literally don’t know if I could’ve had any clearer instructions. Her handwriting is also very clear and should honestly be a font. I would pay for it.While I was in line, I noticed so many people knew who Sam was and were repeat customers because of her help and service. She was kind and helpful with each person; no matter their age, gender, race, or demeanor. She looks at each client and focuses on what they are saying with incredible attention. While I was there, I also saw a man who was being disrespectful, very obnoxiously loud on the phone and inappropriate in the long line and during his turn. Sam very gracefully de-escalated the situation. She kindly asked him things and waited for him to be finished with a non-important phone call, something not many would have done. This, to me, was over the top customer service and professionalism—like she told him nice, she said something else to encourage him to get of the phone, and she still had patience after al that. It was so busy!!! I remember thinking currency exchange workers are literally the MVP essential workers.I never expect customer service or anything, but I will never forget Sam and how kind she was to me, a stranger she knows nothing about.Sam should get a raise. She should also be an in all the professions that need simple instructions. She is literally the parallel of IKEA instructions to the amount of languages, but for matters concerning currency exchanges and forms.

I was in the CURRENCY EXCHANGE and asked for a $100 bill in exchange for $20 bills. I expected to pay to do that because that’s been my experience which would’ve been fine with me. Instead I was told that they do not EXCHANGE CURRENCY like that. I’m stumped! Isn’t that what you do at CURRENCY EXCHANGE places?! Well I’ll never be back in that place! And they weren’t nice about it! Told me that he didn’t have a need for $20 bills. But the reason for the business is to service the customer’s needs if I’m not mistaken. Horrible customer service at its best
