Nice and clean room, comfy bed and pillows, pretty decor, sufficient amount of towels for guests, clean bathroom, shower, toiletries. Well organized event and breakout rooms. Really nice hotel in the heart of The Avalon. Upscale so its a bit pricey but the room was nice and clean with a great view. The front desk attendant was a little blah and not very welcoming but I only saw and spoke to him once so no big deal there. I would recommend for a romantic getaway.

My stay at this hotel was AMAZING! This hotel was at a great location and beautiful bedrooms. The Staff was probably the best staff I have ever seen in a hotel even if it was short staffed. We got stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes and just turns out we were pressing the buttons wrong so, the staff came in the elevator with us to guide us. This hotel is more on the pricy side but, if you want a good stay I completely recommend it.

Great customer service. I dont remember the guys name but he is a black American male and he was working the evening of May 29th. He was very helpful and great customer service. During the Memorial day weekend the prices were very affordable. Actually, the prices were great for a 5 star upscale hotel. Very clean rooms. Loved being near Starbucks and Whole Foods. Great free parking nearby. Everything was so great. The Hotel at Avalon will be my go to place to stay whilst in Atlanta.

The manager on duty in the evening of 7/10/2021 was contacted in order to make an accommodation for my pregnant wife. All I asked for was a comfortable chair for her to sit on so that she could get her make up and hair done for an important event the next day. However, the manager was very rude and offered me a wood chair with no padding. I asked for a chair with leather padding but the manager refused to give it to me saying that a make up material can fall on it.I visited this manager twice and explained that my wife is pregnant and has back pain, so she needs a more comfortable chair. I also told him that we will put a towel over the chair so that it wont get any make up material on it. On top of that I offered to pay for any damages that may occur from a make up session. No accommodation was made for my pregnant wife.I am very disappointed in the quality of the management and how the hotel does not make such an easy accommodation for pregnant people.

First entry into room I noticed hair on the floor and other things on the floor as if the house keeping didnt vacuum the room. so I asked for the room to be vacuumed. Im very particular about things and expected this hotel to be at a higher standard but I see things to be cutting corners. When calling for breakfast room service the phone didnt work so I had to call by cell to the front desk. Every thing now is excuses of co- vid. I must be honest this avalon hotel is like a big Hampton Inn and not an upper scale conference hotel. Also I did notice that alot of things are not being wiped down like the panels to the elevator and other things. One more thing I feel that the hotel needs to adjust the signal of there satellite dish cause when watching TV the picture would pause and it was perfect weather out side. So avalon I suggest that you get it together. I would rate u only as a 3 hotel . For the amount of money spent. And stop making excuses of due to co vid. You can still work and focus on detail. So get over it and get to work . Youre lucky Im not an editor of a conference or business magazine cause it would be a write up on this place. GM its time to walk the floors and look for yourself and get away from the desk or office.

The hotel booked a wedding party at the pool and our room on the floor. The hotel set up serving station with people lining up at our window. It was loud, an intrusion of our privacy and our room should have been out of order. Hotel management did nothing to appease us other than saying they would make a notation of it.Valet parking is very very slow and the pool was closed for a good part of the day for the wedding. People should have been told when they were booking rooms.Poor management; definitely not worth the money. Don’t recommend staying!

Hip, chic with a touch of snippy. As a lifetime Titanuim member, I’m accustomed to a warm welcome. My checkin person was kinda snippy and condescending. I took the time to check in online two days ago. I requested early check in for 2pm Upon presenting at the desk at 2:30pm, it was “your room is not ready”. “When will it be ready?” I ask. “Checkin is at 4pm”, she says in a very condescending tone. No duh, that’s not what I asked. “Why should I bother to check in online?” I ask? It went on from there. Curt, snippy, canned answers, but no answers that will help me get into my room. Very aggravating.

It was excellent because of the front desk manager Vincent Ouellet. I have stayed here many times prior. Pre-covid I have always been impressed with the customer service and charm of this hotel. Cute decor, clean, location, rooftop pool, comfortable beds. My 50ty birthday was here in May. Had guest stay and booked myself a room. It was complete chaos that night to say the least. I was very dissatisfied with so many things. This specific manger gave me above abs beyond customer service. It is so appreciated and nice to see that they do appreciate your business. My family stayed here over Christmas. We had a great stay. The only thing that was disappointing for me was that we paid for a room with a single king bed. The room that we were given had a single queen bed. I asked the front desk about the size of the bed and if there was a price difference for having a single queen bed and single king bed. The front desk attendant told me that the single queen bed room was their version of a king size bed. I know how big a king size bed is... and I know how big a queen size bed is... it was a queen bed. I felt that it was unfair that we paid for a room with a king size bed but we were clearly given a room with a queen size bed. All I wanted was to get what my family and I paid for...

I really like the complimentary toiletries. Usually I bring my own when traveling, but not so so here. They smell great and are gender neutral. Customer service varies from good to fantastic; never poor. Ive also enjoyed every drink and food item Ive ordered at the adjoining restaurant, South City Kitchen. Im neutral on the pool. The hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly and kind, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was awesome. I can’t give this hotel 5 stars however because the beds are so uncomfortable. I usually look forward to getting some good rest at hotels (especially when they are $300+ a night) but this was probably the worst sleep I have ever gotten at a hotel stay! 1. Hotel food was awful and the service was worse. We were supposed to get a credit for the breakfast because they didnt serve us what we ordered yet they didnt. Megan was the server that was terrible. Half of our party didnt even get to order their food let alone did those that did get what they ordered. awaiting a credit of 47.89 that we are disputing on AMEX.2. COVID guidelines were not practiced as witnessed several times.3. We have Ambassador status yet zero effort was made to upgrade us let alone say thanks.4. The room was not satisfactory or what we had reserved and the room was concerning from a cleaning standpoint. We will not return and Im seriously considering switching to Hilton or Hyatt brands after this experience which was unacceptable and unsafe. We both work in healthcare and were disappointed on several levels. Last we have made several attempts to reach the hotel including the day we left and no one returns calls or emails including the manager. They are never available conveniently. I regret having us stay at this property. We have let our family in Alpharetta that recommended the property how bad it is in addition to them witnessing the meal for themselves. Never again. See the pic of the egg white omelettes that the waitress claims are the exact same. lol.

So heres the deal...this hotel is rated at least 4 stars. Its not. From the first phone call you are expecting a 5 star experience. It doesnt deliver.Lets start with first said phone call..staff was curt and rude.Going to front desk...staff was rude...on her phone as I waited until she was finished. Provided no information that you expected. I.e. where parking was and how to go in and out of the gate. What restrictions there were...if any. She was uninformative.Sadly, the rooms while well decorated are average. Fyi, you have to ask for a microwave.Since Im staying here during covid, you will not have daily turn down service. You may expect this. Also fridge is very small. May bother you if you have a large family/kids. It would have also been nice to have water/drinks in the fridge.Lets get to the parking. Its about a 7 min walk through the conference center. Again, not a big deal but if you have kids...may prove difficult as no carts are available. Consider un/loading at front door. Also, you have to use your door key for the gate. It sometimes work...and when you press button to call..no one answers. Goes to voicemail. The area is bougie....soulless.But on a brighter note...food at South City Kitchen is bomb (good for those not use to this vernacular). So as I take this 7 min walk to the sometimes dysfunctional parking lot gate...ill ponder if ill return...maybe/not.

Sorry these pictures dont do the hotel any justice. I think because we were having such a great time enjoying it we didnt take many pictures of the hotel. We came to Alpharetta Valentines weekend. We were calling hotels before we left NC to find a nice one. Finally after knowing a huge cheer competition was going to be in ATL that weekend I wanted to change my mind and not go. My husband said lets find something just outside ATL. We found the Avalon. I called and spoke to Makayla. She was awesome. She told us about the hotel and the area and I got so excited. We told her it would take us 7 hours to drive there, she said drive safe and we could check in anytime because of our travel. We got there greeted by Valet at 5am. They helped with our bags and car. Walked in and the hotel was amazing. Clean, nice, huge, great gym, pool area, lobby everything was steller. And a Starbucks right in thr lobby that opened at 7am. Our room was clean and sanitized. Hotel had excellent covid restrictions. The area is like a world of its own. With a tesla dealership, movie theater, Chanel store, sephora, Lululemon, Tommy Bahama, banana Republic, and so much more. I loved this hotel, the area, shops, food. Everything!!! Cant wait to return.

The Hotel at Avalon is apart of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, nicely tucked away in Alpharetta, GA. The hotels footprint is suitable for its location and can be noticed on approach which is comforting in a new area to visitors. As you can imagine, The Hotel at Avalon is full service location from head to toe, and the staff aim to prove it from check in.First things first, let’s talk Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and this Marriott Autograph location practices what it preaches in response to the Covid-19 pandemic by requiring patrons to have mask with signs tastefully posted at all entries, see picture 7 of 20. Now that we have covered CSR let’s move on to the bigger picture of the hotel review. The decor of the hotel is outstanding and as a guy I even had to step back and take notice! This ahh-ha moment is recreated throughout the hotel; the bar, restaurant, each floor entrance, room and even the elevator. The lobby is spacious, and the Autograph Marriott somehow still manages to create intimate seating arrangements see pictures 6 & 19 of 20.The pool area just off the 2nd floor was surprisingly spacious, on top of social distance protocols in place. Please see pictures 11-14 of 20. There is more than enough seating in the lounge and gazebo areas surrounding the pool. An unknown feature that goes unnoticed until you need it within a pool area are bathroom facilities opposite poolside. This is important to kids, not having to track all the way back to the room for relief, just keeping it real!Folks I can go on and on about this location, but don’t take my word for it. Just go visit for that staycation you’ve been planning and long overdue!

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Avalon. We live in the area but like to have a staycation at this hotel from time to time so we can enjoy the shops, restaurants and movie theater in the attached shopping center without worrying about a drive home. We have stayed at this hotel about 4 times prior to this stay and this was one of the better stays. It feels like this hotel has refined its processes for check in and training for personnel since its opening. In the past, some of the personnel have been professional but not friendly or accomodating. Id like to give a shout out to Gavin at the front desk for being so gracious during check in and going above and beyond in recovering a lost cell phone after check out. I recently stayed at the Hotel at Avalon, and I was thrilled with the accommodations and the level of service. From the moment we arrived, everything went smoothly...the valet staff, bell staff, and front desk staff were all most helpful. It was a Saturday afternoon, and they were quite busy, but they all offered service with a smile. The front desk staff was able to find adjoining rooms for us, and the rooms were well-appointed. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. The air conditioner was fantastic (very important to me), and the drapes blocked light in the morning. We didnt hear any hallway noise, and I was happy to know keys were needed to use the elevators. The South City Kitchen bar offered outstanding service, even though they were crowded with a pre-concert crowd, and the lobby offered plenty of seating while we enjoyed our cocktails. In addition, there are lots of hotels and shopping within walking distance of the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay and will stay there again if we find ourselves in the area. There was no hot water in the room. When the front desk was informed they claimed that there was no problem as their monitoring system indicated everything was okay. I had to insist that they send someone from maintenance to investigate which they reluctantly did. The maintenance man visited the room whilst we were at dinner leaving a note indicating that everything was okay. I checked once more. The water temperature was still barely tepid. Hot water only became available the following morning. Also, the TV volume was uncontrollable using the remote. Attempts to increase the volume resulted in it automatically increasing of its own accord until it reached full volume. It could not be stopped. Eventually we were able to get the volume to decrease. However, it kept decreasing of its own accord until it reached zero. It could not be stopped. We called the front desk to ask what could be done about the TV volume. We were told that this issue is a known problem with _all_ the TVs in the hotel and that nothing could be done about it. That is completely unacceptable. On one occasion the only way we could get the volume to reset was to disconnect the power to the TV then plug it back in again. However, the problem returned soon after. In the morning we were disappointed to learn that no breakfast buffet option is offered in the restaurant, only a la carte. We didnt want to spend the prices asked for bacon and eggs or an omelet. Therefore we decided to have breakfast elsewhere. The hotel restaurant was empty even though it was after 9am and the lobby was packed with guests. It would seem that other guests were not interested in the breakfast either.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We were not disappointed. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. Very important to My wife and I is self parking. The self parking is adjacent to the hotel and easily accessed by walking through the adjoining Alpharetta Conference Center. Once there, you can park your car. There are numerous restaurants/bars, retailers and even a theater within easy walking distance.

Marriott properties are always nice ...so you usually cant go wrong with them. Quiet rooms , almost soundproof. Fast elevator service & one amenity that usually is lacking esp when it comes to conference facilities are having enough womens lavatories, but not here!! Never a line or waiting, neat & clean ! Entire hotel was impeccably clean, nice decor. Great atmosphere. Friendly, helpful guest services & staff. Good food was served at our conference during breakfast, lunches , breaks & for our cocktail hour . Ample parking in the self service parking deck for a relatively low fee. Valet is also available if desired. Located near lots of great amenities! You wont be disappointed.

Positive: Clean, modern and friendly staff Negative: There were several events going on the weekend of my stay- so it made valet parking difficult (long waits), and long wait to check in. Also i asked for daily housekeeping, and they never cleaned or changed towels in my room.

Positive: Location and comfortable room. Negative: Hotel charged me for the stay after the room was paid for. Two days later - still no credit!!

Whats not to love? The location, the atmosphere, the service, the food...everything you need in one central location.

The hotel was hopping anytime we went down to the lobby. The room was spacious. I appreciated the TV being mounted to the wall to eliminate the giant dresser that most hotels have. The only downsides I had were the bed was too hard and its hard to find the main desk. The main desk is back behind the bar area and not marked. Other than that, we would stay there again.

If not attending a meeting or conference at this location, I can think of other hotels in the Atlanta area I would attend for a couples weekend or just to get away. The shops in the complex did not really impress me, nor did the restaurants. Certainly the small pool and fitness center was nothing special. Nice but nothing special for the price.

Our stay coincided with a dance convention. I was staying with a military rate and booked a double room for my party of 4. A week before we arrived I had to change my reservations to one night. Apparently that changed us to a king bed. Due to their high demand for the weekend, you could only have double beds if you stayed more than one night. Needless to say, that made the experience cramped. Unlike some of the newer modeled hotel, they had carpet and it felt yuck (but all carpet feels yuck if you think too hard about it). Hotel had great security, you can’t even ride the elevator without a room key. That was a huge plus for me. However, if you are considering a stay, check their calendar of events to make sure the lobby will be calm and the rooms are available to your liking.
