Wonderful experience! My root canal procedure was awesome! The staff already feel like family. I am so happy and grateful to be there.

Today my husband went to see Dr. Gurley for a issue with his tooth for the fist time. First let me say that my husband is a true man in the essance that he does not like going to the dentist or doctor for any reason. His tooth was giving him a huge problem so he had no choice. Once meeting Dr. Gurley and his staff he is now a patient for life. He loved that Dr. Gurley was very thorough and he actually listened to you. His staff was professional and welcoming from the time you entered his office, until the time you left. His office is immaculently clean and organized. If you are looking for a dentist that is efficient, courteous and kind look no further!

After a car accident I needed to have my teeth repaired or cosmetically improved. I went to my dentist in Athens with unacceptable results and was referred to a dentist in Buckhead that told me for $38,000 for 12 teeth I could look younger. I called Dr. Shawn Gurleys office, had an appointment within a few days, was treated so well and had an amazing and productive visit with Dr. Gurley. I have my temporaries and could not be happier. Dr Gurley and his staff are amazing. He listens to your needs and delivers. Thank you to the Dr. and the entire staff.

Dr. Gurley fixed a broken tooth for me in 2002 and did a fantastic job. I moved away and chipped the tooth again in 2017 playing sports. Another dentist fixed the tooth and used some acrylic paste-on that was horrible, showed the broken tooth behind it and looked horrible. Thats the difference between a detailed cosmetic dentist and someone winging it with half-hearted approaches. I couldnt take the way it looked anymore and the tooth chipped again in 2020. By this time, I had moved back to Alpharetta. Dr. Gurley removed the other garbage and worked his magic. The tooth looks fantastic and I am not ashamed to smile anymore. Many thanks to a super nice, humble and excellent dentist.

Please do not go here. After a dozen re-dos in one year, hours of wasted time and a sincere lack of professionalism Im embarrassed to smile... what more can I say? When presented with my final concerns Dr. Gurley told me hes done messing with it. And this is the final result that hes willing to put his name on. Please dont waste your time or trust your smile here.

I visited this office for the 1st time last week with both my kids based on a referral from a long time friend. I was a little nervous because I normally deeply dislike going to the dentist. I have to say that everyone was wonderful, professional and welcoming. It was truly my BEST experience in a dental office that I have ever had. Both my son and daughter were also very pleased and comfortable with their experience. Celeste was very kind to us while we were in the waiting area. Dr. Gurley was friendly, thorough and communicated clearly. He even took the time to share with me my sons 3D imaging and the wonderful ladies at the reception desk called my insurance to confirm coverage of the scans before they were taken. Our hygienist Shannon was sweet, gentle and made sure we were comfortable. I actually look forward to my next visit!

I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past, leading to a pretty severe fear of the dentist. I came in for a cleaning and experienced no discomfort and it resulted in my teeth being the cleanest I can remember seeing them. I also needed to get a root canal; I literally laughed through it. The staff here is great. They will make sure you are comfortable and have a great experience every time.

I just had my first appointment at this office and let me tell you, it was fantastic! I have also previously managed a dentist office so I am well aware of what makes a good dental experience. The check in process was smooth and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can always get a good feel for how an office runs when you show up for a new patient appointment because these are typically longer than a normal appointment due to having X-rays and a pano done. My appointment was a great example of efficiency without losing quality patient care. My hygienist Shannon was fast, gentle, thorough, and explained each step of the process so you knew what was going on. Once my cleaning was completed, Dr. Taylor came in for the exam. I cant say enough about his temperament and ability to put a patient at ease in an environment that most are uncomfortable in. He made sure to explain what his recommendations were and why he was making them. I felt completely informed about my upcoming procedure and 100% confident that I am in good hands when I come back for a filling in a couple of weeks. If you do not have a dentist currently and are in the area, or willing to drive for a better dental experience, you need to call this office. You are doing yourself a disservice if you go anywhere else.

Dr.Gurley is amazing. He is so gentle yet he gets the job done sufficiently. He is quick too and his work quality is impeccable. What I love most is that he is honest. He’s not going to tell you to get more work done than you actually need just to get your money. He truly cares about his patients. This is the only Man I trust with my smile. He has the best team behind him as well. They do just about anything to accommodate you. Not to mention his beautiful wife Tracie, she is sweet as pie. The dental Assistants their Nancy and Lauren are so awesome. I feel like they are my friends/therapist now because of how comfortable they make me feel to talk to them every time I come in. I wish I could give them 10 stars instead of just 5. They also have a program they teach for Dental Assisting and my niece just graduated from their. It’s crazy how much she learned in just 11 weeks. The program they teach is called Nova Dental Assisting School, check it out.

If you are looking for a dentist, look no further. Dr. Gurley and his staff are simply amazing. Dr. Gurley is extremely talented at what he does. I came in with some concerns, but he and his staff took the time and thoroughly answered all of my questions and made me feel so comfortable. The office is beautifully decorated and clean. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. I hate the feeling of someones hands in my mouth, I have a very low pain tolerance, and even the idea of sitting in a dentists chair completely freaks me out. Ive only been in for a consultation and x-ray, but I can already tell that Dr. Gurley is different from any dentist Ive seen before. He was very patient and understanding of why I went so long without seeing a dentist, he was reassuring that everything will be okay with the right plan of action, and he was informative about what that plan of action is and how everything will be at each appointment. I am still VERY nervous for my cleanings, but I am confident that Dr. Gurley and his associates will continue to be kind, reassuring, and calming so that I can have the best experience possible (under these circumstances, anyway). I am so thankful that I found this office, and I am looking forward to the day that I dont dread going to the dentist anymore (fingers crossed.) I have been going to Dr. Gurley since I first moved to the area in 1997. Dr. Gurley is such a perfectionist that you will never leave without getting the best care for your teeth possible. Ive probably had every procedure Dr. Gurley performs - whether it is a cavity, to root canal to implants. He also is responsible for my smile...veneers! He and his staff really care about their patients and provide incredible service to their patients. Whether you need routine dental care or cosmetic dentistry this is the place to go - you wont be disappointed.

My mom was visiting from Florida and had been to many doctors (internal medicine, neurologists, pain mgmt) because of her head, mouth, eye hurting so much that she couldnt eat. So she was down to 80 pounds, eyes watering all the time, fatigued, and ready to give up. I took her to Dr. Gurley to see if he had any ideas.He diagnosed her with Trigeminal Neuralga (TN) and suggested she see a specialist for a Gamma Knife procedure. I took her to St. Josephs and she had it done within the two weeks.The procedure deadens the nerve, and only that one nerve.She is cured, eating again, smiling, playing all her sports...and back up to her petite 110 pounds but healthy. He basically saved her life.Dr. Gurleys gentle mannerisms as he inquires about our ailments along with his eye contact so you know he is truly listening and not just data entering on a computer is unique now adays. In addition, while he is performing whatever you need done, from teeth check up to oral surgery, he whistles...so calming. The environment is welcoming!If you need a kind, professional, knowledgeable, up to date dentist, visit his office.
