I love this place! Super honest, friendly and reliable. They always do their best to fit me into their busy schedule. I’ve been taking vehicles here for years.I have had recalls on vehicles, taken them into the dealerships and told I need a additional 900+ in repairs. I brought it home and took it to 76 with the list of repairs the dealership said I needed, turned out I only needed $126 in repairs. This has happened many times over the years and I refer people because of this.

I have been going here for more then 10 years with a large variety of mechanical issues. They have always been great at explaining what the issues were, and what options were available. I could not recommend a mechanic shop more.

There are multiple vehicles that we have had serviced at this shop. Even though they are busy, they have always fit us in as soon as they can. The problem is fixed. These are highly rated mechanic that take the time to listen.

I had an appointment for 8:00 a.m to get my brakes done. I called at 1:00 the girl at the desk said she would call me right back with an estimate. I called back at 2:00, and she said they hadn’t even looked at it. I don’t understand such poor customer service. I will never use this station again.

If you have work that needs to be done to your vehicle, you go to Union 76. My whole family has always went there for car maintenance and it was always done correctly, honestly, and at a reasonable price. Even when you first walk in the front door, you are greeted by Dave and his employees ready to always help. They were busy today, but still made time to read a check engine code on my car. The service is excellent, and they always try to save you as much money as possible without cheating you. Hands down best mechanic shop in Alpena.

If you are getting the electric redone, LOOK ELSEWHERE. I took my car in to get the electric worked on so I could use a trailer. They cut a hole in my trunk, ran the electric through that, and sealed it with some cheap plastic. I drove down to Florida with my car and had to stay there during a hurricane. The wind busted the cheap plastic seal, and my trunk was flooded with water. The water in the trunk spilled into my back seat and my car was covered in black mold. If I had the electric properly done, I would still be able to use my car. Completely unusable. Other mechanics laughed at the terrible electric work that was done by 76. Embarrassing. The people doing the electric have no idea what they are doing.

Hands down the best mechanic in town. dave and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and honest. Dave is a great guy who will go out of his way to help you and get the job right at a affordable price.

There is no better feeling than having a mechanic that you trust fully. I have been taking all of our family vehicles to Union for over 10 years now and will never change :-) they have treated me better than they need to on a number of occasions.
