I have used A Action Heating & Cooling to install my furnace and air conditioning. With my heating, my house didn’t have much heat going into the kitchen and loft. A Action’s manager, and technician were very knowledge in fixing the problem and answering all of my questions. During installation, they were on time, very courteous of my home as to not track in dirt, and not let my cats out. They were precise, and very professional. Both, the furnace and air conditioner work great. I can’t thank them enough. I can recommend them.

My air conditioner went out during the 112 degree weather in Portland this month. My system is 25 years old so I figured I would need a whole new system. My neighbor had a great experience with A Action and suggested I give them a call. Well, A Action sent Levi to check my system and I was amazed and astonished that he repaired my air conditioner and had it up and cooling in less than an hour. I was over the moon happy that he was able to make the repairs. Levi was very professional and knowledgeable. Action installed a new furnace in our home before we had finished buying. They never got a permit and used materials that aren’t up to code. They also never installed a filter, opting to cram the filters inside the electrical portion of the furnace. It is a completely farcical install that is going to cost hundreds of dollars to fix. Clearly not bringing the “A” game.

My A/C stopped working on the hottest day of the year in Portland. We have always had exceptionally good service from this company. A few years ago, they installed a Trane high efficiency furnace. They worked in a timely manner and with due diligence - with minimum disruption. Since then, we have worked with Dan Mullenix (a lot of the time) Levi Pennington and Tim. They work well as a team. They have serviced the furnace and the Air-conditioning regularly. All technicians are truly knowledgeable and professional. The billing has always been reasonable. Great communication skills. I am always happy with the service and the people. We highly recommend them.

The technician, Dan, located an unattached wire that prevented the furnace from working at its full potential. This had been overlooked by a precious installer. In addition, he discovered two unplugged holes at furnace’s top that also prevented the furnace and the air conditioner from working at its optimum capacity. We will not hesitate to use A-Action Heating and Cooling for our climate control needs in the future.

Needed to replace the 20 year old Trane AC this year so I naturally asked for a quote from A-Action, along with another local company. I have been a service contract customer for many years. During a recent service, it was discovered I needed a new furnace. I was given a competitive quote. Installation was thorough and complete. The team had to do some additional work to work around the existing duct work. The team was very contentious, clean, and friendly. They stayed very late and got the furnace running, as the temperature was to be in the low 40s overnight. I highly recommend them for install and maintenance.

I highly recommend A-Action Heating and AC. Levi Pennington serviced our furnace and did an incredible job, not only replacing an inoperable condensate pump but also a full service on the furnace. He corrected an issue we had with the furnace for over a decade. When the furnace was originally installed (not by A-Action) the fan speed was never set to our house size so it was inefficiently blowing at high speed and was very loud. Thanks to Levi, it now purrs like a kitten.

I specifically wanted a new Trane furnace, so I got quotes from 4 different Trane Comfort Specialist dealers. A-Action quote was lower than other dealers by a significant amount so I decided to go with A-Action. With such low price, I thought there might be some compromises in quality. However, that was not the case. The installation was done very quickly and seemed to be very solid. They were also very responsive with my inquiries after the installation. Overall, Im happy with A-Action and would highly recommend them.

Although I knew my furnace installation would take all day, I honestly did not realize how much on-site work was involved. Scott and Tim arrived on time and had done some pre-fab work at the shop. They worked steadily all day --- I would say it took about 10 hours. Courteous and professional --- they left my garage neat and tidy after completing the installation!

A-Action did a great job installing a new A/C system into our home! I submitted a request for a quote and was contacted within the hour. They were able to come out for a quote the following day, and got the quote to me the day after that. We decided to go with them as they are a local company and they had been very responsive, professional and personable to that point. They are able to come out that following Monday for the install. They showed up exactly when they said they would and got right to work! Aside from having a few trucks in the driveway, I would have hardly noticed they were here! They were polite and cleaned up after themselves when they finished the job. It was done seamlessly and we had A/C but the end of the day! Brett was helpful in deciding what system to go with and fit the system to our needs without trying to up sell to a system that would have been too much for us. We were so impressed with them and so glad we went with this local company to install our new system! Highly recommend calling them for you HVAC needs, we definitely will call them in the future!

I had a furnace and AC installed so major investment. A little nerve wracking. A long term no-interest financing arrangement the company has with a banking institution doesnt hurt. The installers Dan and Scott were courteous and responsive. Dan knew the technical side in and out and was a very good communicator to boot. They worked two long days and cleaned up and everything works. So there you are.

Our house was new 23 years ago and now updates are needed. Our current system for heat and air was Trane and we had little to no problems all these years. I had several bids for new units and found that A-Action Heating and Air Cooling (a Trane dealer for years) was the best to deal with by far. Other companies had lots of hype and slick brochures and sales people trained to sell up. A-Action was straight forward with solid information about what was best for our needs. The original 40-year old furnace served this house well and A-Action helped keep it running that way for the 20 years Ive had it. But one thing after another started going wrong with it during this last year and it was far from efficient. It died during the coldest days possible. A-Action Heating & Cooling put things into fast gear for us - prompt quotes with alternatives listed, careful listening to my questions and clear answers, scheduling a complete dismantle of the old furnace and a/c faster and install of the new equipment within days, and making sure we were okay and warm enough during the interim. From the repair visit, to the quote, to the install, phone calls and return calls, everything was done by exceedingly warm and friendly staff of A-Action Heating & Cooling.

Very pleased with A-Action. They were very quick and helpful when we needed our furnace replaced. Brett was very responsive and easy to work with. I would rate 5 stars but the installers did leave some paint scratches and dings to our home. Not major, but certainly noticeable. The installers were friendly, on time, and otherwise did a great job.

Both of Tims folks were very courteous at all times. They were very skilled and installed our unit in very good time. They cleaned up all debris both in side by the furnace unit and externally by the compressor unit. Five stars all around!

A-Action Heating and Cooling were outstanding from first contact to the finished product.We called them becuase 5 years ago they performed a inspection on our gas furnace but we started to hear a noise coming from our furnace. We call to have it inspected and they were there the next morning. Levi was the tech and his thorough inspection discovered a hole in our furnace, causing a dangerous carbon monoxide lead in our house, of which we had to shut it off immediately. Of course we had a problem, because we had to replace it as soon as possible and we were faced with a sizable financial decision. Brett came out, literally within the next 30 minutes to talk to us and thoroughly explained out many options. The next day, 8:30 in the morning we had Joshua arrive with all that he needed to install a furnace, highly trained, exceptional skill and expertise in all aspects for what we needed. Better yet, Brett offered affordability for the furnace and an incentive for cash. We were very please with the installation and blown away with the urgency meeting our needs, sympathetic to our urgency.We were over the top satisfied with the company.

We have had superior service, from initial purchase of furnace/AC in 2013 to annual maintenance. By all means comparison shop, but this is your best deal for sales and service.

Would recommend them to anyone in the area. They were easy to work with from quote to installation. I’m currently renting, so communication was easy and straight forward on my end. The men who came to install were kind and respectful, they got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Kind enough to show me their work and how it was installed and we’re just friendly people. They were punctual and arrived right on schedule which was so nice also let me know they’d be leaving for lunch. Having been home alone, I felt comfortable and safe with them around my home. Our old furnace main board went bad. They had someone to check it within an hour and a half. Turns out the old heat exchanger had a crack also. They had a new high efficiency furnace installed by next morning. New furnace works great!Update - they installed a new AC last week - completed a challenging task with good humor and patience. Our old furnace quit on Tuesday morning, Tim was there within about 30 minutes to look at it, but since it was original to the house ( 1984 ) we knew it wasn’t worth fixing. The guys were out at 8:15 the next morning installing a new furnace and the house is warm again ! I called A-Action when my gas furnace broke down after 18 years and Levi came out and showed me with his scope where the damage was and how it could not be fixed. Brett came right out and provided an estimate for a replacement and I agreed the next day and had it installed within a couple days after that. Everyone - Levi, Brett and Josue who led the installation - was friendly, knowledgeable, clean and thorough. A well run team. One note - Since I needed heat I chose not to get competing estimates so it is possible you could find one cheaper, but I am very happy with the whole process and will call them the next time I need service.

I had my 20 year old heat pump system replaced by A-Action heating and they did a great job removing the old unit and installing the new unit. It is working great. The two mechanics did good work. I would used them again.

My furnace went out last winter and A-Action were the only company to get right out to the house and diagnose the issue. They replaced my very old furnace with a new one within 24 hours. Like I said, this happened last winter but I forgot to write a review. I was just going over some old paperwork and found their invoice and really wanted to add this review. So I just want to say how great A Action Heating and Cooling have been to work with over the years. We recently had to have our outdoor heat pump unit moved 3 feet, so we could build next to the unit. Adolfo and Josue came out in the afternoon, asked what needed to be done. My husband went over what we wanted done. They worked hard and stayed late to finish the job (on a Friday). We have high standards and the workmanship was fantastic.The following week Dan came out to a rental, because the outside unit had stopped working. He had the problem solved in a very short time, luckily had the part in his van. It was back up and cooling, which made for happy tenants when they got home.

This afternoon 10/02/19 I called A-Action Heating about an inoperable thermostat which they had installed a year and a half ago. Being the start of fall, they were backlogged with service requests. When I explained that the house was going into sales closure in a few days, they sent a technician that was on his way home over immediately to take a look at the issue. Josue arrived 30 min later and diagnosed that the thermostat was dead and all else was working great. He replaced the thermostat at no charge since it was under warrantee. We lost our furnace on one of the coldest days in October 2019.I have an elderly mom that lives with me and knew we needed to do something fast. We prefer to shop locally so I reached out A-Action Heating and Cooling and the same day they had a service guy come look at the furnace. The same day !! Unfortunately we did receive the bad news that a new furnace was needed...money was very short but it was something that had to be done.We made the decision with Brett to go ahead and install what was in our business. The 10min stop at A-Action this morning was enough for me to like and trust these folks. I was looking for an igniter to fix a broken furnace. Savannah at the front desk was super detail oriented and made sure I had the correct part. After having 2 companies tell me my furnace was corroded beyond repair, was dangerous to operate and needed replacement, I took a friend’s advice and called AAction. When I called, they explained they would first send a technician out to assess my unit. If it Dias beyond repair, I would need a second appointment with someone to give me an estimate on replacement. This was different than the other companies. Levi was great! A quick look at my furnace and a wire brush showed the corrosion was superficial. Levi took the time to explain everything. He even helped me select a new thermostat that got me a refund - he came and installed and showed me how to use. It’s nice to find and honest and caring company that does great work.

Our 17-year old gas furnace was leaking last night, all of our friends told us its about time to replace a new one. Called A-Action at 4pm, they sent someone to come in at 8am the next morning. Within half an hour, things have been explained and fixed. No, they didnt try to sell us to replace our furnace. Ive used A-Action Heating & Cooling for years, as they have always been straight-forward, helpful & honest with me. When it was time for a new A/C unit (ours was 30 yrs old & beginning to fail), I contacted them as well as two additional companies for quotes. One factor in my decision was the fact that, being female, many people providing mechanical or home repair service tend to use scare tactics to get my business (which one of the other 2 companies I got a quote from actually did). But A-Action provided multiple options for replacement along with a cost breakdown, they did not pressure me on my selection and were amazingly professional all the way through the process. My neighbors two of them use this company for serviceI called them as I needed a new furnace they gave me a quote that seemed honest and reasonable, I decided to call two more companies just to get a comparison, and they were 1,000 to 1,500 more than this company. In addition the owner came out the day my furnace went out and fixed it temporarily to make it work until they could install the new furnace in two days. The other two companies couldnt install a new furnace for two weeks in the winter, so i decided to go with these guys, they were great and more than professional. I am a very picky person too. Tim and A-Action have been servicing my homes for over 30 years. He and his crew are always courteous, pay attention to detail, and do great work at a fair price. You can buy parts too if you know what you’re doing.He recently replaced a 30yr old furnace with a Trane 95% efficient furnace and AC unit. No small job including ducting changes, etc. I couldn’t be happier. When I made the decision to update, he was the only person on my list to do the job. I looked on Consumer Reports to find out who had the best furnace. It was Trane. I then got 4 bids on replacing my furnace. A-Action had the best product (96% Efficiency Trane) at the best price with the best warranties. Their price was 40% - 68% below the bids and they included additional services at no charge - examined / repaired my air ducts - re-insulated my air conditioner lines (no extra charge) - repaired my bathroom vents and even repaired my dryer vent (no extra charge). The install was done very professionally and on-time - incredibly thorough and over the top service! They also gave me a credit for the original service call to come out and evaluate my furnace. I am VERY satisfied! It is hard to beat these guys. I would say they have the best price and service in all the Portland metro area!

I came home to an Ecobee with a black screen and no heat. I called A Action based on reviews and scheduled an appointment. Levi came out and was punctual, got right to it, and discovered the problem quickly. He cleaned up my furnace and cycled it several times to make sure everything was working, and waited until my Ecobee had calibrated and was functional. I highly recommended Levi, and hey, my cat liked him too!

Great service, I called and they came out 2hrs later on CHRISTMAS EVE to fix my furnace. My house was ~60 degrees when the heater failed in the middle of the night.After 15 minutes it was diagnosed and fixed, and didnt even charge me an extra fee even though it was an hour after they closed on Christmas Eve!Great company, I will recommend and use again.

If you need A/C repair in Beaverton I highly recommend A-Action. Everything about my experience with them was fantastic. They were professional from the start. They gave me clear expectations of what might be wrong with my AC as well as pricing. I called during the recent hot spell and after speaking with 6 other companies A-Action was the best value. It wasnt that they had the lowest price but that the way that billed was more fair. In the end, it did end up costing me less than what the others quoted for a price.I strongly recommend this company to anyone needing their AC serviced or replaced.

I have a couple of single family home rentals in the Aloha area and have worked with A-Action for several years and now once again they have gone above and beyond. The last big project they did for me was to install a new a/c last year. The install went well. Everyone at A-Action was professional and responsive and the price was competitive. The tenant told me a few days ago that the a/c wasnt working. A-Action showed up for the scheduled repair today and I learned that the repair was no-charge due to an industry wide problem with the unit that was fixed by adding a chemical to the refrigerant. They didnt even charge a service fee. Above and beyond! Another time, years earlier, they came in the dead of winter on a holiday to fix a furnace. Im a very satisfied customer and would recommend A-Action for new installation or repairs. I wish every business I work with in the course of managing my rentals was like A-Action.

My AC was cold but not pushing air. I assumed it was the blower and called for repair. The Tech came out and said the problem was a bad thermostat. He said to get one at home depot since he didnt have the kind I needed. Of course he charged the fee for the visit but since he didnt have a thermostat it was not working when he left.My husband got a thermostat and installed it. AC behaved in exactly the same way.So we called back and asked them to come out again. We had to pay another service charge despite the fact that he didnt fix the problem the first time. This time he refilled the Freon even though he said it wasnt low. Then he tested the system... same issue. He told us the ducts needed to be clean and left!When the furnace is on air comes through the ducts just fine. Just not the AC. I opened the door to the crawl space and it was freezing cold in there.So I paid over $800 and they fixed absolutely NOTHING!! Terrible service go somewhere else!!

I called for a part and got great advice. I was going to change a sensor myself, but they recommend a professional install the part due to safety concerns. She said, she didnt mind if i used them or another contractor to do the job, but my safety was her main concern. I would highly recommend A-Action to anyone.
