Staff is relatively friendly, But they like to make assumptions. the food they give is fairly ample, The provisions they gave me lasted me about 5 days. And after the house fire It was the 1st time I had a chance for a home cooked meal in over a week.

You can only visit once a month. Also to add someone to your account, you must have their social security number and a piece of mail verifying they live at your address. But the staff is very friendly and usually it moves fairly quick. They even give frozen meats and real eggs in addition to canned and boxed goods!

Im thankful for the help from the food bank especially during my 2nd bout with cancer.Great and caring staff.

Today I was very joyous that I had the means to donate food!! I was asked how many bags I had, and I said ABOUT 6 or 7 bags and explained I had 4 bags and the other items I had purchased in bulk and counted EACH CASE as ONE bag. The total items in the cases, had I chose to open them, would have filled at least 7 more bags, which would have totaled 11 bags. 2 gentelemen took my donation and the 1 man said to me, lets be honest....you ONLY have 4 bags. To which I responded...yes...and the food I gave to the other man, as well, and he just grunted. I guess that food didnt count since it wasnt in a bag. Perhaps, sir, you should tell that to the grateful people who will receive that food. I DO NOT appreciate the accusation of being dishonest. However, you are correct, sir. I did not have 6 or 7 bags, which I GUESSTIMATED. I had 11. I will NOT donate food here ever again, rather, to a food bank where it will be appreciated. Merry Christmas, Sir.

Its a nice place with friendly staff. It is a food bank for when you might need a helping hand. You can go once a month.

Food bank for Allentown residents. Friendly helpful and caring workers abound at this facility. No family too large or too small gets turned away. Food given is enough for 3 days with fresh bread hamburger and eggs.

This organization cannot be congratulated enough. The service they provide to the distressed community in the city of Allentown is noteworthy. No client leaves the facility without a varied selection of foodstuffs and even dessert treats. I consider myself fortunate to work there as a volunteer several times each month.
