The complex looks great but the customer service from Ricky is 10 out of 10. He seriously needs to teach customer service classes. I have lived at The Gates for almost 5 years and have truly enjoyed living here! Rent is competitive and our maintenance team is absolutely the best! I highly recommend living at The Gates.

This is my second time renting here. I have had a wonderful experience both times. Clean and quiet, very nice unit, I feel safe coming and going. No complaints. I recommend them 100%

The apartments are ok but there is a silverfish problem. Also they are strictly regulating the pools and amenities to where you can’t even enjoy them. You get 1 hour at the pool, there’s no furniture to sit on, and no guests allowed. You can’t use the restroom so unless you live right off the pool it’s super inconvenient; which means people are likely peeing in the pool.

I believe almost every profession requires some kind of customer service. I havent really had an issue till today. Brittany the assistant manager was yelling at me for laying complaints and trying to get status of the workers who came knocking on my door with no heads up from the front office. I currently live here and have lived for more than 2 years. I have never been treated like I was this Friday March 5th. The office had sent out an email for residents to check for leaks or signs of leaks. While at work, my daughter called that there were 3 men at the door and that shes scared. I have 2 young girls who definitely were scared of and by these men. No heads up from the front office about this people coming by, I excused myself from work and drove home. I came home at 1pm instead of 7pm. Missed 7 hours of my shift, still they never came back, and whatever was the emergency was not taking care of. Instead Brittany told me its a different company handling the leakage and they (front office) dont know their hours or where they go in the building. So apparently any one can show up my front door claiming anything and front office wont care. Safety and privacy seem not to be a concern in this complex. The maintenance crew are really nice ( Adam, Scott & Caesars), They go above and beyond, especially Caesar to get their job done. Rickey is as awesome. Yes there will be a response to this review like other reviews here or not, does not really matter. My privacy and safety matters to me , possibly other residents didnt get same treatment but I will not be bullied.

This complex is great. Slightly older but they upgrade their apartments, they keep the grounds clean, enforce rules for a comfortable stay and maintenance is responsive. The staff is friendly; I have not a single issue with them and they executed the covid situation expertly. I cant say enough about this place. Save a few bucks from the newer fancier apartments and gain a lot more in this place. The only downside is the high school across the street. During football season the PA guy can be heard mile away.. but not a big issue; its Texas... We love our football.

Moving to North Texas has many benefits,but the best thing is the convenience of living in a Gated community in Allen. The Gates Of Allen have a lot of amenities but the difference between this apartment complex another apartment complexes around the area are their employees. This is my second time renewing my lease and the reason I renewed my lease is due to the fact that Ricky Cathey goes the extra mile, with everything he does. He makes living in the apartment complex very enjoyable and if I ever need help or have questions regarding anything I know he’s always the person we can call and go to. He’s very friendly and professional and due to Covid I noticed that he always wears his mask which is very beneficial to myself and my family but he also takes his job very serious.-Mr. Seaton

I had to write a review. I was actually suppose to move here in October but there was no available unit in the front. Well one of the nice young lady in the office called and was so very understanding and even offered a refund which I wasnt expecting. This place is beautiful and I would definitely recommend visiting this place...….Great job

This is may be the property my family and I will be moving into next year. This place is definitely in my top 3 choices. First thing, the staff was really great and friendly. I loved the presence of leasing people at the front desks. I think there names were Richy and Holly. They were amazing. They both greeted me when I walked in and made me feel welcomed. They were very attentive to my questions and concerns, unlike the property I just left from(whom i will not name). I was very impressed with the way the apartments looked on the inside. I didnt know what to expect. I could probably go on and on.

Horrible! I still live here and one of my neighbors dogs can not stop barking we kept on calling both office and they never done anything to stop this. The apartment is very crowded its not even space out.

Super friendly front office staff. Beautiful clean property and quick response from maintenance. Apartments are cozy and feel like home. Quit surroundings with everything you need near by.

My husband and I loved this complex, it was our first apartment together and we were sad we had to leave but definitely recommend, good communication, only thing I didn’t like was people driving too fast through the complex, but other than that, we will miss it.

Weve been living here for almost 2 years. The other apartments Ive been in are nice, clean and spacious, just like mine. The price is coherent with the service you receive from the office and maintenance staff, and the location. These people have been great for us. The city of Allen is a safe area to live in. The property is almost always clean and safe. The amenities, among other services, are free. Recently(summer 2018) the office staff have been hosting game nights and other fun activities to do with fellow residents. I really like how this complex isnt as stiff and as cold as other places Ive lived at.Warning: Eagle Stadium is across the road so be prepared to hear the activities. Also, the traffic light to the complex is pretty annoying and long so you have to be strategic with it.If you love bunnies and singing birds youll love living by the courtyard. Sit on your porch, watch the bunnies play, and let the birdies sing you to sleep.

I would not recommend living at this apartment complex. I lived here for 1 year and it was an absolutely horrible experience. Management is terrible. The communication is poor here. They over billed me for water and sewage charges and they even went through my trash. The manger never communicated with me regarding these issues or provided me a breakdown of the bill. The apartment complex is not safe even though it’s gated anyone can get in through the gates and someone was shot here a few months ago and we were on lockdown, it was an awful and scary experience. I had a man follow me through the gates one night. They have not done anything to make the premises safer. There is no parking at night, you have to walk really far to find a parking space. This is not an luxury apartment complex like it’s described.They kept my deposit and charged me bogus charges for cleaning the apartment and the carpet. I am very sorry I ever moved here.

I have lived here several years and I have no complaints. EVERYBODY is terrific in all departments and keeps this community in great shape. I highly recommend this place.

I have been living here for almost three years and everything was fine and because new neighbors were living on the third floorThey went to the office and complained to themAnd the manager told me well talk to themAfter what they spoke to them, they did not issue votes after two daysAll the annoying voices have returnedI went and complained to the manager and told me we cant do anything. If you dont like you can live on the third floort is now in the middle of the night and I cant sleep because of the sounds from the third floor.

I love it here!💖 Its my 2nd year and everytime theres some issue in my apt. staff are QUICK to respond, Always! Last Saturday evening, 11pm, I found my front area carpet soaked wet & immediately I went to its adjacent area, the laundry room which is already 2 inches of water. The water heater is leaking so I have to call & leave emergency Voice Mail. In 15 min. I got a return call and by midnight, Mr. Cesar Guevara, the 24/7 on call technician was fixing the leaking heater. By Sunday, Mr. Guevara, replaced the whole water heating system, bought & placed rubber pad under the tank. The front area, he took off the soaked rubber beneath the carpet. I really appreciate the EXTRA effort on a Sunday, even the office is closed. Come Monday, Mr. Guevara check & put blower on the wet carpet. He assured me that carpet crew will finish the job! 5 Star to Mr. Cesar Guevara & 5 Star to Gates of Allen Station! Happy Resident!🤩

2 years here and can not wait to move out!!! update was not going to post the details but the complex did. yes disagreement of them adding fees after the bill was paid.

There is a huge rodent problem in these apartments. Numerous tenants have had the same complaints. One died in the attic above my apartment and my apartment smelled like rotting flesh for over a month. I had to eat out everyday and obviously couldn’t stand to be in the apartment with the smell. I spent over $1000 more that month than previous months due to the smell. I didn’t ask for a free month but instead half off the rent, I felt that was reasonable, and was told there will be no discount. The maintenance men spent 5 minutes the first day of my complaint and 10 minutes two days later, when I made the second complaint, looking for the dead animal in the attic but were unable to locate it. And I was offered an ozone machine, that made my clothes, blankets, couch, and whole apartment smell like metal (and rotting flesh) for two weeks and that was corporate’s excuse for no discount. So a total of 15 minutes over the course of a month was spent to “fix” the problem and corporate said they did their job. Absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention way over priced, “The Gates” isn’t correct because the gates are broken most of the time and when it is working, the key pad doesn’t so if you have visitors you have to walk/drive down and let them in, there is no parking unless building is empty, mine and four other residents rims were stolen in one night, numerous cars were broken into, and no one gets their deposit back no matter how clean your apartment is, they will make up something. I had a cleaning crew clean my apartment and was told not to shampoo the carpets because they clean carpets on every move out and was charged for it. You will not win, they are greedy liars that have no customer service skills at all. I am an Allen Eagle football dad, and hope no one from our team ever rents here. Maple Trail Apartments are located behind Allen ISD and will take very good care of you for $400-$500 less per month.

Staff will turn extremely rude once you put your deposit down on an apartment.Manager is the worst of them all. First time I ever spoke with her she immediately came at me with an attitude. Everything was handled terribly glad they showed their true colors before I signed my lease.

Very efficient when it comes to fixing something when I call the maintenance there very fast and prompt I like the way that when the rain comes up and I do it online I can pay it online without have to go and bother anyone so they can just see it on a monitor screen and I love the way that we have security I was security is top-notch I will tell anyone and everyone about this place it is a very glorious and beautiful place to be!!!!#

We’ve had nothing but positive experiences while living here for three years. The office staff and maintenance staff have always responded promptly and are very friendly, extremely efficient, and quite frankly the best we’ve ever encountered. Yes, the noise can be an issue, as is to be expected in an apartment complex, but it is still by far the best complex that weve lived in so far in the DFW area. This is probably the first apartment complex that we have experienced consistently exceptional service from both the leasing and maintenance staff. That alone has kept us living here and we will continue. Any problems that arise have been taken care of promptly and much quicker than I would expect. Again, BEST place weve lived in the DFW area!

I searched lots of apartment in Allen, Mckiney and Plano area. This apartment is very clean and granite counter top, dark color cabinet, platinum frig, tile back splash, 2 blind, 9 ceiling, nice layout....This is the best one by far.

The property says its a gated community. But their both the gates are all wide open 365 days 24/7. And when me and my little girl saw some wrong people walking around and told the same to the office they are least bothered. And then after a week somebody literally stole my designer sunglasses from my car parked overnight. And on the other note their workstation at the office not been working for almost 3 months. I asked them that I need to print my boarding passes but the printer says out of order. And those extremely rude people sitting in the office would say service has been called for that. And its been 3 months. And still doesnt work.I wish at least I can have the phone number to their corporate office.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place!! I have lived here for a year and a half and this has been THE BEST experience I have ever had living in an apartment. If I didnt work in Dallas and need to be closer to work because Im not a fan of traffic... I would live here as long as I could!The management = amazing, everyone is SO friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to help, the maintenance guys are incredible, too!A few of my faves are... Karen, Breanna, Scott and I just met Jennifer the other day and she was super sweet!The amenities = incredible... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pool, I havent used the work out room that much... I prefer running the trail behind the complex, they have community events going on all the time and I love that, too! They are great at organizing fun things!Maintenance = ALWAYS on time and always gets everything taken care of!Last... but, definitely not least, the unit itself... OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! The price is incredible for everything youre getting. I live in the A3... the granite countertops, crown molding, desk, dining room, patio, storage... EVERYTHING! I could seriously go on and on about this place and WISH so badly I could move everything about this complex to Dallas with me!TRUST ME... what Ive found in Dallas doesnt compare AT ALL to the gem Ive found at The Gates! You wont be disappointed if you lease here... I pinky promise ;)

I am a current resident and after living here for 3 years, I can say the staff has gone to giving ZERO about issues on property. After midnight there is always loud parties and people screaming and running up and down the stairs waking you up. If you call management you get ignored for days... weeks and everytime you email and or call and leave messages you never get anything back. The courtesy officer that lives on site, never responds. Lets just say if you want to live somewhere peaceful and have people be kind. This is NOT the place!! Which is sad in the last year the management has taken a hard left in simply not caring about any of its residents.Update: i never heard back like the regional manager said i would on the issues and the issues still continue and going to see the office staff today went absolutely nowhere, sad that the apartments have gone downhill, trash everywhere, cigarette butts all over and 0 care from the staff!
