Had my AC go out. They came out checked out my old unit. Didnt charge me for the house call because it couldn’t be fixed and quoted me for a new unit. It was a little more than I hoped to pay. BUT it’s going price so they were competitive. They installed it the next day, on one of the hottest days of the year. No one else could do it in less than a week. A couple of hours and it was up and running. My little pup found the vent and said thank you and Great job to the installers.

Our A/C unit quit working at the end of July. Called around a few local companies to get it inspected, Affordable Heating and Cooling were able to come out within an hour. Turns out our Trane unit was 35 years old and the repair costs were not cost effective (along with a 2 week wait for the parts). We opted for a new unit which was installed the next day by Steve and his apprentice in about 4 hours. The guys were very courteous and explained what they would do and when complete the upgrade was money well spent. Would highly recommend Affordable Heating and Cooling 👍👍

Our A/C unit froze up, of course on the hottest day of the year and on Memorial Day. The next morning, I went up to Affordable Comfort to see if they could assist. Mind you, I had no appointment and took a chance on seeing if I could obtain some assistance. Dean, the owner, and a crew of workers were in the office on their way out to assist other customers. Without hesitation, they stated that they could come out and address the issue, which they did. I am very thankful that they were able to fix the issue and take care of me on such short notice.Dean and his crew were very responsive to my situation and were very professional throughout the entire process. Installer friendly and timely. However we did end up having to call DTE for a gas leak. Their diagnosis of the issue was as a misaligned pipe.

I have a new construction home and after numerous issues with both heating and cooling and dealing with the company that installed both (The furnace installed initially was not big enough to heat my house. The A/C we had the same issue). I contacted Affordable Comfort. Affordable Comfort gave me a quote for a new furnace and A/C. I had new units installed within 3 days. I was amazing by the professionalism and courtesy they offered. Completely satisfied with Affordable Comfort and I highly recommend them to everyone.

My mom had contacted this company to have her furnace maintenanced. After the maintenance was done the guy told her that the heat exchanger was cracked. He gave her a quote to put in a new furnace for $2700. After no contact for about a week or so my mom finally got ahold of him and he said, well cost jumped up to $3400. This is for a 80% furnace. Got a second opinion and the new company said the heat exchanger wasnt bad (furnace needed to be replaced because its 30 years old). He said affordable was most likely taking my mom for a ride to get more money out of her. New company gave her a 96% furnace for $2400. She will never use or recommend affordable heating and cooling.

They came out for a estimate and was very pleasant, representative was very nice. Had a Furnace and AC installed and the installers were great very helpful and answered all my questions and made sure i was comfortable before they left. Just wanted to say thanks and would definitely recommend these guys.

I needed my unit cleaned and seen the good reviews. I called to set up a appointment for someone to come to my house 1 mile away . The lady said that it would cost $ 120 diagnostic fee, I told her that is a little high and I will look elsewhere, she then said that they can do 80 after the Memorial Day . She also stated that every company charge this fee. Well 80 definitely sounds much better but, if I already know what type of service I want done to my unit , why can’t I get a price for that . I’m very disappointed, sounds like a shady mechanic shop that is taking advantage of people.

Craig was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He quite literally could have saved our lives. While he was only scheduled to replace our a/c, he pointed out a major issue with the way a gas line was installed by a prior company. I would highly recommend them.

My furnace stopped working early in the evening on a Thursday. After a long cold night, I called Affordable at 8am on Friday explaining the situation and asked if it was possible to fit in a service call for me that day. The office person Rose was very friendly and said she would be able to schedule me for the end of the day. Later that afternoon the service technician Brent called me in advance to let me know he was running AHEAD of schedule and he would be arriving in 15 minutes. Once he got there, he diagnosed the problem quickly, and was able to correct the issue. While he was there he found a couple other concerns that he was again able to fix quickly, and he explained everything he did and why he was doing it. Turns out that the prior big name company didnt do such a good job installing a drain tube which caused a lot of the problems, so Brent fixed that. Affordable Comfort company, and Brent, did a great job, and at an unexpectedly affordable price. They have my business now for my upcoming furnace and water heater replacement. Highly recommended.

Affordable Comfort came by and replaced a hot water tank for me, the entire process was extremely professional, with great installers who were respectful of my space during the current pandemic, as well as willing to give me knowledge on the tank and taking out an extra gas line that was no longer being used with no charge 10/10 would recommend this company to anyone

Yesterday, when it was 91 degrees and 100% humidity in my house I needed to scout the internet over to find a contract service who could get in quickly and help me get up and running. After another technician from another company comes out. He turned down the job due to complexity. Affordable comfort came in next day with quote at 11am. Then after 20 minutes had installers at my house. Within about 2 hours and several repairs that had to be done due to shotty AtoZ heating and cooling furnace install. They were able to get my house to comfortable by 4pm.I was totally hurt by A to Z heating/cooling. Didnt think Id ever trust another contractor again. They caused so much damage I didnt believe anyone. But affordable comfort changed that for me. 5 stars isnt enough.

Initially I had a service tech come out to my home who was on time and very professional! My air conditioning could not be repaired and my furnace had been damaged in the flood. Ultimately, a Sales person came out to my home and gave me 3 different quotes from which I selected the best one! I couldn’t be any more satisfied!

I called affordable when my ac stopped working, they were able to work around my work schedule which was great. They were very friendly and helpful. brent came out and checked the system and found it was just low on freon. Thankfully he had me up and running very quickly. I just got a certification for the city of Melvindale. I got them for a second opinion another company told me I had to buy a new furnace. Thanks to Affordable Comfort they did not sell a furnace today but earned a costumer for life and will make sure to recommend their service.

I called and made an appointment for 10/17/19 because me furnace was not heating the house properly. When the tech arrived he said it was a loose wire charged me $80.00 and left. Then on 10/21/19 I was having the same issue so I called and had the same tech come out. He said he can not figure out what is wrong but he got it going for me. Now its 10/24/19 and again I have no heat. I do not believe the techs are very knowledgeable and the company seems unconcerned with customer satisfaction. I now have a different company coming out this evening.

I called yesterday morning regarding issues with my condensate pump. The lady who answered the phone was courteous and was clear about what would happen(calls before me, that servicemen would call prior to coming). When he called I was initially shocked just by how courteous he was on the phone. It was good, prompt, knowledgeable service. They took the time to explain the problem and what to do moving forward.

Affordable Comfort installed both a new furnace and air conditioner in our home when we moved in three years ago. They also fixed an AC problem we were having this summer, and they came to our house four separate times to make sure theyd fixed it perfectly.Their workers are great, and they dont settle for subpar work

Called at midnight because I noticed my air conditioner running too long. Rose returned my call promptly the next day and gave me a wealth of info to trouble shoot my unit, as I had forgotten that it under a home warranty program that will service it first. The service call price is reasonable, and I will be calling her to book if the warranty people give me the run around. Rose helped me to become a better educated consumer.... Im super impressed.

Let me start with they were great and Aiden who i was working with was awesome!!!!!!! i called multiple places to get different quotes on a new furnace and ac systems when affordable comfort came out they told me they would work with me on the price and yes they did they were very competitive on the price to get it down to were i could afford it they will work with you on the price just tell them what you have to spend and go from there i had a quote that was cheaper then there quote and they price matched it. Aiden was a big help with all of this he made it easy and a great experience he was very nice and was always available to talk when needed would definitely use them agin and i will always recommend them to anyone they came the next day to install the two new units and had it done the same day they were very good they were helpful when i ask questions about the units they did a great job installing them they cleaned up after them self and removed old units will be talking about them to everyone!!!!!!!! I would be remiss if I did not share how pleased I was with the technician (Brent) they sent my way. These guys are great! Local, reliable and fast. I came home from work on a Friday night during the Snowpocalypse and my furnace was busted. The temps were below zero outside so my house was freezing. I called a different heating and cooling company, they came and looked at my furnace and said they needed to order a part and that they would be back on Monday. I called these guys over at Affordable Comfort and Shane showed up at my house within a half hour, had the necessary part on the truck ready to go, and my furnace was up and running that night. Cant thank you enough!

Very pricey. I was charged $285 for a run of the mill thermostat that can be bought a home depot for about $35. Not fun to be taken advantage of.
