I have been taking my Audi A7 to Francen for regular maintenance and repair for the past 3+ years. They do a wonderful job every time I took my car over. Kevin Sr., the owner ensures you understand exactly what work your automobile needs along with a fairly accurate estimate. They take their time working on the car but they do provide a free loaner car. To date, I have absolutely no complaints with the quality of their work. Highly recommend this shop. Katy in customer service does a great job with answering your questions with a smile.

I went to Francen and Sons after my original mechanic that I used over 25 years up and left Illinois. I had heard about Francen through my neighbors and decided to go to them as I needed a transmission replacement, new belt replacement and tires rims fixed. They were so helpful and when I got the car back it was like it was when I first got it. Granted this is a used car but the mechanic advised me it was in such good condition that I should put the repairs into it. I am happy I did as I really love this car. Its been about three months since the repairs and still doing great. Thanks guys for all your help!

Doing a road trip from S Fla and once we got to Algonquin we noticed a noise when the car had some weight in the back and trunk. They worked with me to identify it and even went as far as silencing the shop so they could hear, confirm and be 100% sure the issue was where it was and wasn’t dangerous.After diagnosing the issue, I worked with them on discussion of repair and price and they were super upfront, provided advice and were the most professional shop I’ve ever been too.Everyone I spoke to was friendly and super nice and kind, and when it came to discussing the issue, they explained it so somebody without car repair experience would understand. I will be recommending all my friends and family in the Chicago area to use them for all their car needs. Will come back myself for any and all needs as well!

I recently moved to Algonquin and was looking for someone local to service my Porsche Boxster. I was tired of paying the high rates that Porsche dealers charged. I did some research, and decided upon Francen & Son after reading positive reviews. I went there, made an appointment and had them service my car.It’s a family run business. I have a BMW X3 .I like honest opinion, timely service and reasonable charges at Francen and sons . Have got my A/C issue, Engine issue( yes beamers have a lot of issues , probably by design, compared to Japanese cars) and regular oil changes and I am very satisfied with them

This is by far the BEST shop with the best team you will ever need and want to fix your car. Forget about Dealers and other so called professional shops. I only thrust myself to work on my cars , but when I dont have time I take it to a shop and I am very very picky, I took my car to dealers and professional shops across Michigan and Illinois and every time after paying the big prices I ended up with some work I had to take care of myself after the job is done like ( realigne the hood or add some screws where they forgot or recoding electrical components and many more ) So my point is that since today Kevin and his crew at Francen & Son have my full appreciation and thrust to work on my cars , not only cos they care about the work they do, are willing to work and communicate and they care about the customer but they will not make a hole in your wallet like others professionals do . Excellent service as always. Hadn’t had to use Francen and Sons for a few years after buying a new car. Finally needed brakes and wanted the routine maintenance done. They got my car in quickly and completed just as fast. Will be bringing in our truck for the same service later this year.

My son has a 2012 Volkswagen CC with turbo and hadissues with a check engine light. We’ve been to the dealer a few times and same issue happens. I called this company based on foreign vehicle repair and the reviews so glad I did. I talked to the owner Kevin and he was great very upfront honest and very reasonable with what he charges. Come to find out it wasn’t the timing chain and that’s what the dealer said. He was very low on oil and a sensor was bad. He saved us over a thousand in repairs not needed. We’ll be bringing all 3 of our vehicles to Kevin going forward. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for honest service great warrantied work and reasonable prices. We’re happy customers for sure!!!!

I have started to take my MB over here for service. These guys are easy to talk to and work with. I have compared there service and prices with the Mercedez Benz dealerships at Hoffman Estates and Barrington. These guys beat them every time. I was once quoted a spark plug change for $850 which F&S did for $300. Similarly service A and B for the MB are also more economical. Its a no brainer to prefer them.

I have been using Francen & Son for about a year now and, have not once had to question the work preformed on my 2008 Saturn. Wish I had known about them for repairs prior to last year. I would refer them in a heart beat. Being an elderly senior, Francen has my respect and loyalty.

Ive known Kevin and Jr. for many yrs now and with Kevin having a love for autos and a forward thinking vision of what a Great shop should be, Y wouldnt I and my family take our vehicles there. They get us in and out, they provide loaner cars if need be and they have also had to tow my car from a few towns over. My husband is a skeptical guy and even he is very impressed with them. We have referred friends and co-workers and they too have been happy. There is no pressure to fix what can wait. I am extremely pleased. The Francen team was absolutely wonderful. They addressed every single one of my questions and concerns and had my BMW back to me faster than you can say, Please take my money! This is the only place I will be bringing my car from now on.

Finally got around to posting this. Giving 2 stars due to high cost of labor and overall time it took to get things done for 2 vehicles. I’m talking about weeks not days. Also same problem still exists on one of the cars I sent there for TCM ground issue unless a bad used TCM was installed. I could have fixed that in literally 10 minutes. Other car came back after over $4000 in work (2/3 of it was labor) with issues like vacuum line unplugged tripping code in intake and leaking power steering line in undercarriage. Maybe an error or not? I just know enough about cars to repair it myself with a $5 hose from Parts store.

They are honest and do good work. They have fixed a lot of items on my vehicles and I trust their work and I like their staff. They are good to do business with!I am always very confident that I am getting the best service. They have never tried to sell me a service my car did not need and have always explained the service they provide so it is clear what I am getting.

Kevin and his team fixed my BMW after I had taken it to three shops, including ones that were specialists. The other shops could not fix it and one told me to part out the car. Kevin and his team quickly found the problem and got it running again. The car runs great and I can use it for years more to come. Couldnt be happier with the shop. Have had both a Mini Cooper and Jeep Wrangler in for repair and have been very happy with the service and attention to detail they provided. I was greeted warmly at the front desk and was shown the repair on the Jeep while still on the lift as well as walked through other things to watch for or that might need repair in the near future. This is where I will be taking my cars for all work.
