I started training at Testudo in June 2021 while home for the summer, and I couldnt be happier with my decision! Coach Ervin provides detailed instruction and helps students realize their strengths in this discipline. Testudo has a dedicated group of students who enjoy training and getting better--so come learn Jiu Jitsu!

Amazing instruction, extremely welcoming environment, clean facility, location is super convenient for NoVa, DC, and MD folks. Ervin is a fantastic instructor. The way he teaches clearly breaks down technique for all levels is unmatched by other schools I have visited. Cannot say enough great things about Testudo!

Leaving Testudo is the only reason Im hesitant to move to San Diego. Some of the best jiu jitsu instruction Ive ever received, and the community Ervin has built is incredible.

Ervin and Terry run an awesome shop. Been coming to Testudo for over a month now and Im having a great time! Extremely welcoming environment for beginners and belts of all levels. Whether its training kids BJJ or the fundamentals classes, the instructors truly care about their students and make sure that everybody learns proper technique and has a great time.All classes are gi and usually run in the evening (which works well for me because of work/commuting), and there are morning classes as well. Glad to be training here and Ive definitely caught the BJJ bug since I became a member!

I dropped into Testudo today to attend the afternoon nogi class while im in town for vacation. It was great getting to roll with Ervin and his students. He runs a great gym with an excellent, welcoming culture. Thank you for having me today and I cant recommend this gym enough for anyone looking to get into Jiu Jitsu!
