I wanted to leave this review because the experience that my Wife and I had shopping for wedding rings could not have been better. On a whim my then fiancée and I stopped into Dejans studio as we had been looking for the perfect ring for my now Wife. We were immediately drawn to the exquisite and unusual work that was displayed and after looking around a bit said we would be back. My Wife then spent the next few days perusing their excellent website and having found a few ideas, we went back and had a wonder experience with Dejan, in designing our rings. Not only did Dejan and his staff (thanks Emily) have great patience in dealing with our questions and indecision, their great eye for style and detailed explanations, sold us on what we would get, and the deal was stuck. Not only did they not hesitate to incorporate a special stone that I brought with me, they did so in a manner that was simply stunning and my Wife is head over heals with the result. I also had a wedding ring made that is unlike any I had seen before, with his mixed metals technique, and I could not be happier. Lastly they did a wonderful job in rushing the rings as we came in very close to our wedding date and they came through for us. We found Dejan by browsing the Torpedo Factory website and were immediately drawn to his designs. Wed been searching for wedding bands on all kinds of sites and not finding anything distinctive enough for our desires. It was clear immediately that Dejans pieces were one-of-a-kind.Not surprisingly, then, when we arrived at his shop, he took time to ask us questions about what we wanted, directed us to some sample pieces, then allowed us time to browse and compare. As we settled in on elements we liked across a few different rings, he assured us that he could combine the aspects we loved into a unique design. Beyond that, we settled on rings that would bear our fingerprints, making them even more ours.The rings were ready before the promised date, and theyre simply lovely. This jewelry store specializing in wedding bands was an amazing find. Discovered, a few years ago, we agreed that when we finally got married, we would get our rings here. The rings are so unique and quite different from the run of the mill style. The designer appreciates customer input. I was able to change the colours of the design that I chose. The experience was very nice...calm and easy. We did not have have a specific wedding date but the rings were ready two weeks earlier than planned so we got married yesterday. I would definitely recommend this designer if youre looking for something unique!

WOW!!I go in for a custom made USMC ring and I come out with a USMC ring and a custom antique looking engagement ring.Let me back up. When I went in for the USMC ring I was already shopping around for an engagement ring but didnt know who to go with. Dejan helped me redesign inherited jewelry that didnt suit my style into something I will love wearing. He took a large necklace with multiple elements and split it into three separate simpler but elegant pieces. I am especially pleased with a bracelet - I had a vague idea of what I wanted, and he created a couple of designs for me to choose from. I love the end product so much. I brought Dejan a Victorian engagement ring that had been in the family a long time. The platinum was wearing thin. I thought I would lose the diamond and the small accent sapphires and diamonds. I asked him to create something with me. I wanted it in platinum, the diamond was to be the focal point, use a few of the details in the original ring and ...... I want it in the medieval style. Huh?!I sent photos. Then I brought in earrings for him to use in the ring. When I saw the prototype I was encouraged. The ring was on the mark. The diamond was focal, the sapphires complimented the diamond, but the detail of the tiny sapphires and diamonds that only I would note was included from the original ring. He hit on the head. The medieval look is there. Many women have worn the engagement for decades before me. Now new the setting will last for generations. It is a beautiful ring. The Victoria ring transformed.... My husband was taken by all the fine delicate work Dejan invested.

He developed a 3D rendering and showed us several variations of the stones from which we selected the exact ones we wanted. It came out so beautiful and so unique, and we love that there is a story behind the creation of it, and that there is no other band exactly like it (we even engraved our fingerprints on the inside of the band).When I went to pick up the rings, there was a slight change I wanted made and Dejan did it with no problems by the end of that day! I had not worn my new wedding band even a day, when it became damaged by an electrical shock that melted the ring. I was heartsick at what had happened and called Dejan, he was more concerned about my welfare and told me not to worry that he could repair it. Several months later, my wife and I showed up in his studio, he checked the ring and sized my finger. In addition also sizing my grandfathers wedding band that I had not taken off in years because it was too tight. When I received both rings I was amazed. My new ring was flawless, couldn’t even tell it was repaired. As for my grandfathers wedding band, not only did he size it, but he reproduced the old fashion intertwining ring pattern that went around the band. I have two words to say about Dejan, “He’s Awesome.”

Dejan created the PERFECT wedding band to match my engagement ring (which was my grandmothers vintage cocktail ring). I was in love with the design of my engagement ring (its very unique - it looks a bit like the curl of a wave) but I was worried about finding a band that would fit. I was a little worried that we werent leaving enough time in the custom design process because we came to Dejan a little less than 3 months before our wedding! Turns out, that was no problem for Dejan! Within a few weeks he had a prototype for me to try on with my engagement ring to check the fit. I slipped it on and it fit perfectly. Within another few weeks he had the finished product. He told us that he had ordered over one hundred stones to match the shape of the baguettes in my engagement ring. Trust me when I say that he is a true artist. No detail went unnoticed. I was honored to receive my grandmothers ring, and I am absolutely thrilled to have a new heirloom to add to it. He worked with me to come up with a design to incorporate them, and the finished product was amazing! I have been waiting until I finally proposed to write this review. Not only do I (and my now fiance) absolutely LOVE the ring, but the whole process of designing it with Dejan was a blast. He worked within my budget (actually within my budget, he didnt do any classic sales guy moves and try to up-sell and all that), and spend ample time with me as we designed the ring. I love my ring from Dejan. I stopped in on a whim and found some beautiful pieces and brought my husband back to pick out an anniversary gift. We asked him to reset a ring with emeralds rather than sapphires and he was more than happy to make the switch. Dejan and Emily worked with me very closely to design and create a unique engagement ring for my finace at a very reasonable cost (on par or less than engagement rings I viewed in traditional chain jewelry stores). I didnt have a huge budget and he was very accommodating about what would be possible to make, and I never felt pressured to do anything more than I could afford. He will walk you through the process of designing and creating the ring or other piece of jewelry, including what metals and stones youd like to use and how to personalize the design and make it unique to you. We ended up returning to Dejan to get our matching bands made as well. Overall very good experience and feel great about having a one-of-a-kind set of rings.

Dejan is an artist who makes beautiful jewelry. In 2013 while visiting the Torpedo Factory I walked past his studio and was drawn in by the Spanish Steps ring. Im Italian-American and I love Rome so the Spanish Steps ring really spoke to me. I purchased the ring in 2013 and later asked Dejan to add a diamond from a ring of my mothers that I never wore. On my recent trip to DC I stopped in to say hello and walked out with 2 beautiful thin bands that make the Spanish Steps piece truly stunning. Ill be back to DC next month and hope to visit the studio again.

Dejan was absolutely amazing to work with - probably the easiest and best part of the wedding planning process. He helped us custom design my fiances wedding band and its perfection - the pic below doesnt even do it justice. In fact, after it was finished, I had to take it away from my fiance to prevent him from wearing it before the wedding. And this was a guy who is not into jewelry and had not been particularly excited about a ring! Dejan was cool, understanding, and helpful when my fiancee and I were looking for wedding bands. He clearly knew his stuff and was willing to work with us when we wanted to take some earrings and transfer the stones to one of the rings. My first experience with Dejan was when he designed my wedding rings to wear with my uniquely shaped engagement ring and then we decided to also have him design my husbands wedding ring. They are both unique and perfect for us!Next I gave him a thin gold wedding band belonging to my great Aunt who I was very close with. My fiancé and I wandered into Dejan’s shop on a spring trip to Alexandria. We had been loosely looking for our wedding bands and after chatting with Dejan knew that he would be perfect to make my custom piece and my fiancé’s classic one. He was great with showing us drawings, samples and proofs. I changed the design after one version and he was amenable and flexible. The pricing was great and we are so happy with our rings.

This was singularly the best experience I could have hoped for. We (my fiance and I) commissioned a set of wedding bands with Dejan. He was super helpful with the design and made sure our own individuality came though in each piece. Honestly, my only regret is that I didnt find Dejan during the whole engagement ring process. We went to Dejan to have him design a ring for my wife. Weve been passing through his studio for years admiring his work but had not purchased anything before. Dejans warmth and enthusiasm made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We had several special requests that were a bit unusual and he accommodated them with ease. He must make hundreds of pieces a year but he made us feel like ours was the most important one. I found Dejans studio the first time I explored the Torpedo Factory and I was blown away. Ive never seen such creative options for mens rings! I knew we needed to use him for our wedding rings. Our consultation was surprisingly quick and easy - we discussed materials, which pieces of his we already loved, mine and my partners individual styles and preferences, and even adding diamonds from an heirloom piece wed recently acquired. Dejan was super informative and clear in his advice about everything. The rings were ready in a flash. I was so nervous to go pick them up - I can be a very picky person - but I was absolutely bowled over. Dejan didnt just make our wedding rings, he created two pieces of original art that we will wear with joy and pride for the rest of our lives. The wedding rings that Dejan designed for us are spectacular and exactly what we hoped for. My husband and I recommitted to our 32 year marriage after a 5 year separation . I brought in my original wedding set to be resized as I had lost weight. Other places I inquired about said it wasnt possible or that I would have to pay an extra $100 + per ring than their normal rates as the prongs would be loose and because of the material my ring was made of. I was recommended to go to Dejan to see what my options. He said he could do the resize, fix the prongs, and not worry; all for an affordable price! Highly recommend him and will go back for future jewelry needs!

My wife chose his “Spanish Steps” design with a few custom tweaks and I selected a simple and rugged design. Dejan promised to have them ready before a family event.
