Had an appointment for an evaluation and estimate for my basement. Had explained to Erin- the scheduler, that I was working until 4 pm and could be back at the house to meet the person who conducts the estimates at 4.30 pm sharp. I received a slot for 4-6 pm arrival time 2 weeks out which was the earliest appointment time they had for that time frame. Same day as my appointment I received a phone call from the guy who was coming to look at my basement at 3 pm. He was calling to see if I could receive him earlier because he had finished early and had nothing do to. When I explained that my appointment time had a 4-6 pm arrival time frame, and that I could see him at 4.30 pm because I was at work, and I had clarified this with Erin when I made the appointment. His response was that it would be too difficult for him to sit in Old Town Alexandria for an hour and half since he finished his prior appointment early and that he would call Erin and reschedule my appointment. Although this company has not conducted any work for me, they just seem very unprofessional and do not respect others time and busy work schedule. I will not be rescheduling my appointment with Deska in the future.

Had an appointment to evaluate the walls surrounding the steps to my step-down basement. The service appointment was easy to arrange and customer-friendly. The representative that came to the house was extremely professional and demonstrated excellent technical knowledge. The problem was assessed and recommendations were made. We engaged Deska to come in and look at some internal walls that we wanted to remove. We needed a structural engineer to certify them as bing none load-bearing. Brian the engineer was very professional and generous with his time. Within three days we had the comprehensive report sent over to us. Highly recommend!

Estimate was provided as promised and was quite reasonable and complete. Overall a very pleasant experience even though this was only to get an estimate for potential work.

Our basement had been leaking for years and we finally reached out to get some estimates to resolve the issue. Out of all the estimates we had, Deska instilled the most confidence since they mentioned that licensed engineers actually review their projects and the consultant that came to my home was very knowledgeable and educational. We had a drain system installed with a sump pump and we havent had any issues since. Im very pleased and I refer them to all of my friends!

Our home inspector found several issues with our foundation so he referred us to them. An engineer came out to look at the problems and provided us a report of the issues along with recommendations. We also used them to do the work which was nice and I didnt have to worry about searching for another company and they did an excellent job!

We were very pleased with Deska. Our foundation walls were cracked really badly. The engineer tested the walls and showed me that there was actually water coming through the walls at some areas and this was part of the problem. We ended up having the walls epoxy injected along with a drainage system and sump pump. We were lucky that we were able to be proactive to address the problem, if we left the issue as-is it would have likely caused severe damage in the future. All in all, they did an excellent job and cost less than my other estimate!
