Michelle and Diane are lovely and incredibly talented. The back of my dress had weird set of buttons that didnt really match the rest of the design. They took that out and sewed the area beautifully. They also tighten the top of dress and improved the fit perfectly.

Absolutely wonderful service and beautiful work! Having a very simple dress, I wasn’t sure what it needed prior to my wedding day, but these women knew exactly what I needed! They were supportive of the vision I had and helped make my dress fit my shape and my personality perfectly. They also sent me with a wedding day “game plan” packet to help us with the bustle on the day and with information on caring for my gown. Would absolutely recommend to any bride! I used this shop for my wedding dress alterations. While this place was wonderful in most respects, a few things that I think they could improve on.I felt the prices were a bit steep compared to other shops. They were also very strict on COVID precautions not letting anyone coming in with me for my fittings. This is understandable but at the same time, we were all vaccinated and would have remained masked. I only get married once, I wish I could have had my mom or close friend enjoy that moment with me. The most irritating thing I felt using this shop was that I was always being rushed -I was almost a part of an assembly line. I had to wait outside until the other bride was done, rush in, change, get measured etc then rush to change out and pay. I never got to enjoy the moment and discuss the smaller aspects of the dress fitting because there was never time in the super short appointments - it was actually almost stressful every time it was that rushed.Dont get me wrong, my dress looked great and they did all the work we agreed to. Another great thing is that they would communicate and answer questions by text which was really great for busy working schedules. The mom daughter team were very friendly and realistic. I was also told when I bought my dress that a certain alterations would be easy/no problem - when I came to this shop they said it was a very risky alteration. While at first I was crushed (since I bought the dress knowing I would make some changes), I was happy they were realistic with me and helped me weigh my options.

From beginning to end, Befitted Tailoring provided great customer service and made my wedding dress fit like a glove! They took COVID very seriously (which I was glad) but still provided top notch service. Instructions were always clear and I felt informed about everything from how they were going to make the alterations to pricing to drop off and pick up for cleaning the dress. Highly recommend!

A truly wonderful experience! Very kind, honest, and made me feel like I was at home. The experience was easy and I felt totally safe during COVID. Everything they explained to me was very reasonable and I felt informed and understood the process from the beginning to the end. They even finished my dress early which made me feel great given the pandemic-situation. Ill be forever grateful to this wonderful duo! They really do make wedding dress magic!!!!

I cannot recommend BeFitted Tailoring enough. My dress was fit to perfection; after my first appointment, I had no doubt in my mind that my dress would be perfect for the big day, and it was. I was very worried about going bra-less, and BeFitted also hooked me up with tape. I was so insanely comfortable all night and I have never felt more confident in a dress. If you want precision, attention to detail, and a perfect fit, this is your place!

Diane and Michelle are both wonderful to work with! My initial fitting was in February 2020 and I immediately fell in love with their space upon walking in. The whole appointment was quick and easy. I tried on my dress, explained what I thought it needed and they made some excellent suggestions as well. Both of them were helpful, super friendly and made the experience special. Once the COVID-19 pandemic began they were quick to send out an email addressing the situation and asking for any changes to wedding plans. I ended up postponing mine so we pushed back the appointment date for the second fitting. The entire process was very easy. I went in for my second and final fitting in June and felt comfortable with the precautions they had in place. Plus, the dress alterations were perfect! Im very happy with the experience and the result. I cant wait to wear my dress next year once the situation is more stable!

Michelle and Diane provided me with a fantastic customer experience and took great care of my wedding dress. It now fits perfectly and is more comfortable than it was when I bought it. They even went out of their way to provide me a packet of info about how to take care of the dress during and after the wedding. I recommend them 1,000 times over. They do high-quality work and make everything simple and easy!

Due to a problem when ordering my dress, I ended up with a gown that was several sizes too big. It was intended to be a fitted bodice with a HUGE mermaid skirt (16 layers) and it fit like a garbage bag. These ladies SAVED the day. They meticulously measured, remeasured, gutted the dress, and made it fit me like a glove. The delicate beading on the sleeves and new seams were flawless. I genuinely believe that not just any tailor shop could have handled it. I am so glad I took it to BeFitted. They are also kind and helpful. I am so thankful for them and highly recommend them!

I am a wedding planner and I found this studio online and have been referring all my brides here. All of their dresses have looked spectacular and like they were custom-made. They also do dress steaming and pressing so that is nice to have the peace of mind that the dress will look great on the day of. Highly recommend.

These two women are FABULOUS!! They were complete saviors for me when it came to altering my dress. I found them online and saw all the positive reviews—contacted them ASAP but didn’t realize they usually like to see you at least 4 months before your wedding date. Due to unforeseen circumstances that occurred in my life, Diane and Michelle were the sweetest of people to “fit” me in. They are both exceptionally good at what they do and greet you like they’ve known you forever! I definitely put them through the ringer with my dress and it’s size, but they made my dream come true even the ungodly amount of hand-sewn buttons were added to my train which, at the time, I was willing to do without due to the time crunch! They insisted it was a must and I’m telling you, these are the women to go to!!! Professional, friendly, talented and unforgettable! Thank you!!!

I could not have asked for a better tailoring experience, or really any type of experience related to my wedding than bringing my dress to BeFitted. I keep re-writing this because I can’t find the words to describe just how great Diane and Michelle are. When I brought my dress in to them, it was probably three sizes too big, and instead of telling me to go buy a different dress (which would have been totallyreasonable), they took the entire dress apart and rebuilt it to fit me. They did an absolutely incredible job, and we had a ton of fun in the process. I looked forward to every appointment not only to see the dress, but also to see them! An absolutely fantastic experience. I can’t recommend them enough.

I had my Matron of Honor dress altered by Diane and Michelle. My dress had a lace bodice with seven layers of silk chiffon in a waterfall, cascade style. I was a bit apprehensive if this dress could be altered at all since the work was so extensive, and the material was so delicate. Michelle and Diane made me feel comfortable and eased my worries right away!Michelle and Diane gave me top-notch service and were very forward with what work needed to be done, executing it perfectly so that the dress fell perfectly the way I wanted. I called them on the phone, Michelle answered and helped me book an appointment right away. She even gave me some shop recommendations since I mentioned I was looking for another dress!After booking, I met them at their studio on King Street and had my first fitting. Diane gently pinned the dress so I could see what the final product would look like. Then I stopped by to pick up my dress, had another fitting and was ready to go!By the time the entire process was done, I felt like I had genuinely befriended Michelle and Diane. We have already made plans to get dinner together! I have to say that their customer service is A grade. I have not experienced such wonderful customer service!

Their attention is 100% dedicated to you, and you dont feel like youre just another number to them.BeFitted specialize in tailoring wedding, bridesmaid, and special occasion dresses. Their studio is cozy, quaint, and clean. They are able to on average, have brides in and out in three fittings including the initial consultation. I only had two fittings, including my initial consultation. Due to indecisiveness about which dress to purchase, I didnt make an appointment until late June once I bought my wedding dress. However, the first appointment went very smoothly. We agreed upon lots of hemming, adding bra cups, adding a bustle, and adding a jeweled belt (which I bought from their curated selection). I scheduled my second fitting for early August, and both ladies were fairly confident that I wouldnt need another fitting after that. Went to VA for my best friends wedding and the night before find out her dress wont hook - contacted BeFitted via text after 7 pm on a Friday and they walked us through getting the dress ready. Super friendly, honest, and helpful. Although we didnt have them do any alterations (not enough time) I would definitely recommend this business simply based on their customer service - and I wasnt even a customer!

I was not an easy customer. My dress was about three sizes too big for me to begin with and I had a last minute change of mind on some details. Instead of telling me they couldn’t do anything about that last minute change (because my wedding was in 4 days), Diane and Michelle made sure my dress was exactly the way I wanted it! Diane and Befitted altered my wedding dress within 2 weeks of my wedding day. She had my alterations within 3 business days and even offered to come on site to help me into it. She did such a beautiful job in helping bring in the waist line at least 1 dress size and creating a beautiful bustle for the back of my dress. I have never used a better, more detailed oriented, or convenient tailor! I reached out to BeFitted just last week with a semi-urgent request to take in three items: a skirt suit and my moms old family dirndl. Im an incredibly busy person, who is in and out of work on the regular, so it was perfect that the BeFitted team could come over to my place to a time that worked best for me.They arrived promptly at our scheduled time, had me try on the clothes in question and pinned them, and were out the door within 20 minutes. As a mom and daughter duo, they are highly efficient in the work and were attuned to my needs before I had even requested them. When they saw the dirndl they asked if I wanted it done before Halloween. Although I wasnt sure initially if I should ask them to do such short price work, they gratuitously offered to deliver all of my garments by the 30th. Instead of just dropping off the garments on the 30th, they made sure to have me try them on and walk in them to test their fit and the sewing quality.All of the clothes fit fabulously! I dont think Ive ever had a suit fit me so well - and Ive been to a few tailors in my lifetime. The ease, convenience of not having to ever leave your house and the high-quality workmanship of BeFitted is incomparable. I highly recommend their work and will be using them in the future.

BeFitted is the perfect bridal experience! I wanted to wear my mother’s wedding dress (from 1989!) at my wedding, but my mother is significantly shorter than I am and the styles have changed quite a bit since the 80’s :). I knew that in order to achieve my dream of wearing my mother’s dress it would need ALOT of special care and many alterations. When I found BeFitted online, I easily made an appointment on their easy to use website and had my first consultation. BeFitted on its own is a cute little botique that makes you feel like you’re waking into your personal princess dressing room. It’s clean, quaint, and chique. When I met Michelle and Diane, they took a look at my dress and heard my ideas of how I wanted it to look on me, and even they were a little uncertain of my plans. After the consultation, they told me they would review everything and get back to me about taking on the project. Spoiler alert: they said yes! :) After the initial appointment, over the next few months I had several short appointments to take measurements and get my input on the progress. As each visit came and went, the already beautiful dress was being transformed into MY beautiful dress. The finished product is absolutely beautiful. It’s a perfect combination of an heirloom dress with a modern style. From sewing on pieces of lace from the original train, to creating a brand new skirt, to adding structure to the bodice and so much more, these ladies didn’t miss a single thing! The dress is truly a work of art. Both Michelle and Diane are so sweet and polite over electronic communication and in person. They treat you like you’re their central focus and make the whole experience smooth and peaceful. Whether you’re a bride or just need some simple alterations, I’d highly recommend BeFitted.
