Its a barber, nail salon, and dry cleaning service all in one. Well the price was fair he had all the finesse of a manatee buzzing away at my hair. I ended with a light trim even though I asked for a full buzz and no matter what I said seem to help. He tries his best but I could have gotten a better result with blindly swiping on my hair with my own razor.

This man cut my son’s hair today. It was by far and away the worst haircut I’ve ever seen in my life. Splotches of long hair all over my son’s head, strange cut lines, no blending. It was terrible. I had to take him to Sport Clips immediately after to have it fixed. Absolutely awful. DO NOT go here for a hair cut. Ever.

Better than shops Ive paid double the price at. She took her time and did the haircut perfect and for only 15 dollars. One of the best haircuts Ive ever gotten at any place.

I am so pleased I chose to go here! I easily scheduled an appointment online with little notice, and they were great. The cut was great, and I was more than satisfied with it! I cannot recommend this place enough!!

We stop in for quick haircut for my son. The lady left 2 holes on my sons heads. We paid said thank you and left. I dont know how they continue on business...The bottim line THEY CANT CUT mens hair!!!

I have been going there for years. Okye is the best barber ever!! She is very courteous and respectful to everyone. She is very attentive as to how you want your hair cut. After she cuts your hair a few times, you are family! It is always a pleasure!

I was admittedly asking for something out of the ordinary, but the lady cutting my hair couldn’t follow basic instructions. She took a huge chunk out of one side of my hair and left some spots incredibly long. I will not be a repeat customer.

Ive left the review I gave Okey (owner) and King Barber Shop after my second haircut there this spring in brackets at the bottom. Today was the third strike against this business, and I will not be returning.Strike one: Two visits ago, I asked for the cut Okey had been giving me for several months now, a low fade. She gave me a high and tight. It was a well done haircut, just not what I had asked for. Way too aggressive for my tastes. It was severe enough that most of the people I know who saw it commented.Strike two: Last time I visited, Okey was there with two other people, a lady and a gentleman, never got their names. Her two new assistants (who I had never seen before) were dressed in barbers clothes, while she was not. She had a suitcase, and was about to leave for vacation, she tells me, and the other lady would assist me. After I nearly left to return when she was back, she insisted I could trust this person. BIG mistake. She ALSO did not follow my instructions about a low fade. She spoke very little English, to the point where I needed to gesture that I wanted my sides tapered, not all one length. She nodded that she understood, but proceeded to cut them at a consistent 1 for a similar, but much lower quality high-and-tight effect.Then the beard... I kept a long beard, three inches at the chin. I asked her to take off half an inch or less. She attached a guard to the clippers and went to town, leaving me with a 3/8 hack-job that looked like a seventeen year old boy found his dads trimmer for the first time. The entire time, beard and head-hair, she cut like she was still learning, not very confidently.I went home, then went right back to demand they fix it. Okey was gone at this point. (I should mention, she had been there to translate my requests to this other barber at the beginning!) The gentlemen, who spoke better English, but had not said a word before, sprung into action. With a clearly more confident and practiced hand, he cleaned up what was left of my beard into something that looked very nice and corporate, but not at all the style I keep, since there was next to nothing left to work with. He seemed to be explaining to the other lady how to cut a beard, as she looked on with curiosity.Strike three: Today, I went to the shop at 9:00 AM when they are supposed to open, as I always do. I had intended to explain my complaints to Okey, but nobody was there! I waited twenty minutes for her to arrive, and then left.I will be taking my business elsewhere.The sad thing is, Okey gave me many really great haircuts and beard trims! For those of you who keep a long beard, you know how hard it can be to find someone who does good work. I just cant deal with this kind of inconsistency anymore. Im leaving a two-star review, downgraded from my initial five, because I know a skilled barber works in this shop. Ive just been burned by this business too many times to keep coming back.[Okye gave me possibly the best haircut and beard trim Ive ever had! Very friendly, great prices, Ill be a customer for good.]
