What great people to do business with. We went to them for an alignment, but when they found we needed a camber bushing, they suggested we take it to Hixson because we were under warranty. And they didnt charge us anything for the diagnosis.

Today at 7:30am I brought my 2015 Toyota Camry to them. I simply asked them to locate the grinding/squeeling noise coming from one of my rotors/brakes. I just changed the pads on the front myself 7 months ago and also removed the tires from the rear and inspected rotors and brake pads. I got a call at 10:30 saying that all 4 rotors and all 4 brake pads needed to be changed??? When I asked What was causing the grinding noise? I was told Not sure, but it must be coming from the rear because they said that was the worst I told them I knew the rotors were good and I knew the pads in the front were good because I just changed them. Ive always changed the brakes before they needed to be changed so I know the rotors are in good shape. So I went and picked my car up without any work being done. (Charged $50 for diagnostic) When I got back to work, our deisel mechanic and I took the tires off and he said all the rotors were good, the brake pads in the front were like new, and the only thing I needed was pads in the back, which I could have changed for $100, as oppose to the $700 it would have cost me if I would have used George Hauks Automotive (ON INDUSTRIAL, NOT 3RD STREET). I work hard for my money and I expect local mechanic shops to value my dollar as much as I do.-DEL COPE

On 1/31/2018 i was charged by George Hauks $1,072.50 to replace my 2015 gmc a/c condenser. 2 days ago my a/c went out again, this morning i put the uv dye in to check to see if there was another leak. Using a uv light noticed the leak was coming from underneath what look to be a patch. I paid hauks to replace my condenser not to patch it. I have video from the vin number to the leak underneath the patch and photos. I will be reaching out to our family attorney about this matter if im not refunded my money.

Excellent place to have your vehicle fixed correctly

This may be the worst automotive service I have ever encountered in my life, from the phony friendliness in the reception area complete with yapping small dogs to the inept technicians in the garage. I had to return 3 times to get my brake problem repaired due to the quality of work preformed on my E350. The owner claims his technicians are the best and they are on salary, which means when they frequently screw up a job they fix it on the owners time. If the techs were on a piece rate system they just might do better work as when they screw they get to fix it on their time. THIS SI A GREAT PLACE TO STAY AWAY FROM.

Clean waiting area and friendly staff. Totally disappointed with a $26.18 charge for using a credit card to pay for $747.97 service visit. I asked if I could leave a credit card abd ID with them while I retrieve my check book at home in an effort to avoid the ridiculous credit card service fee and they would not allow. Also offered check and routing number and they said no. I have always used Hauks for break and alignment work. Because of their current credit card fee gouging, I will no longer be using them for automotive work.

They were very nice, honest, and they were reasonably priced. I would have loved to give them 5 stars but they kept my car for 2 days.

Ive got a 95 Ford Bronco thats my boy. Its like a good friend. Well that friend had been sick, suffering from a needed repair that I just couldnt figure out. It sat out in the elements from the fall, thru the winter and now thru the early spring. It was covered with pollen, grime and was an absolute mess (visually).Have you seen that commercial...Its junk let it go...well everytime that came on the Mrs. would look at me and give me a nod. I couldnt do it. So I reached out to Hauks Automotive to give my buddy one last chance at coming back from a possible trip to the junkyard.I made an appt online, was told how much it would cost to get an estimate on repairs...this is important because I had a solid ceiling on how much I would pay...and was told that I could get it over on my lunch hour.Im going long so Ill cut this short. What I thought was an impossible repair turned out they had it solved relatively quickly (I wont give the time cause I prefer not to be embarrassed) and even better the cost was beyond painless.Great service, the mechanics are top notch, the ladies up front are friendly and Im repeating myself but the service is great!Im a customer for life. It doesnt get any better in this area and Id bet in the state.

I brought my 3 week old Tundra in for a suspension upgrade and the technician took the time to discuss my questions and George is a hands on owner as he even checked the alignment after it was finished. Strongly recommend them for your auto needs.

Super Impressed. Went here for a second opinion on a repair job from a dealership that seemed outrageous. Long story short. Hauks found the problem. Saved me $2400. Dealership quoted me an evaporator case and 10 hours of labor for a leak in my AC housing. Hauks cleared my AC drain, when the dealership said they did that. No more leaks and was out the door under $100.My new goto place for repairs and diagnostic issues on any if my vehicles.

Joe Hauk met me as I got out of my car. Very friendly. Asked what I needed. I needed to wait while my car was serviced, so he had his mechanics get started on it right away. I told him it was a used car I had just bought. He checked out my tires and underneath my car. Told me it all looked good. And I didnt need an alignment, just go somewhere and get my tires rotated. This tire shop was awesome! I had a blow out on my trailer and I was already pressed for time so I couldnt afford to lose the time it would take to stop and change the tire myself. Thanks to Hauks I was able to back right in and get my tire switched out and the nice young ladies up front were really helpful and observant. The guy repairing my blow out was really fast but had a very nice way of not making me feel rushed. If your going to have the misfortune of having a blowout make things easier on yourself and let Hauks take care of it.

Tried this place on a recommendation and after bringing in my second vehicle, I have turned on all my family and friends to Hauks Automotive. Very professional, clean, (the waiting room, restroom, and the work), and courteous. I drive an hour from my home to go to this shop. They also have Hunter tire balancers, really the only brand if you have high performance tires and wheels.

The receptionist call me after I left my car up there to see how they could help me.. I was impressed. The fix my car within the time frame they stated

I dropped my car off at 7 am. Picked up before 4 pm. They replaced two tires that needed replaced and told me what I needed to replace to fix another clunking noise. They did an alignment too. My car was pulling to the left. It drives wonderful now. I find the place to be entertaining and comfortable (coffee is good). The ladies at the front desk are always busy. Like any business that deals with the public, some people can be too impatient. Thank you for fixing my problem and I will be back to replace the sway bar bushings and front struts as suggested as I know it will be done correctly and realigned.

Best place in town for everything. They used to be known best for alignments (which they still best in town for) but now they work on anything from the front to back of your car, and they get you in and out better than most shops and the price is fair for what you get.

Excellent staff, excellent service - They go above what other shops do to ensure quality control. Honesty is a huge plus and in the occasional event some item has to be outsourced, it is always to those that have the same standards. I have 2 vehicles getting close to 150K miles and over 10 years old. Intentions are to keep these for a few more years thanks to the services I get from George Hauks automotive.

Great customer service! Replaced rotors... no hassle process.

We went here to get an electrical issue looked at on our car. When we picked it up the receptionist couldnt tell me what had been done on the car except that it had been looked at. After paying 100$ we took the car and hoped for the best. 2 weeks later the same problem happened. We realize electrical issues are hard to nail down but we were disappointed by the lack of customer service. This place has been trusted by my family for years, but perhaps they are getting to big.Update 7/25/18 -- I dont check in on my google review very often, so Im just now seeing their response. Other than this I received no contact from them, but would have gladly brought in the vehicle to be reinspected, however my wife and I left the area a few weeks after the original work was done. Since my review was factual, honest, and civilized Im disappointed in the updated rude response from the company my family used to esteem.

Brought my compact car in for an alignment. They said they would get to in in about 20 minutes and it would take about 45 minutes to get it aligned. I sat there for 1 hour before they brought it to the back. Then sat for another 45 minutes before the receptionist called me over and said that my front wheel bearing needed to be replaced and they could go ahead and change it for $360. I told them no thanks to which the receptionist replied, Fine but I have to write on here that you refused to let us fix it. Im not sure what that was about, but I went and sat back down. 15 minutes later, she called me back up and told me that the $59.99 she quoted me for the alignment was wrong because my car was all wheel drive and it would cost $20 more. I told her my car was not all wheel drive and she argued with me. I had to have it aligned so I agreed to the $20 more. I waited another hour before my car was done.I got home and talked to my husband and we looked in the manual and my car is NOT an all wheel drive vehicle. So they charged me $20 for nothing. I did have to get my front wheel bearing replaced. Took it to another mechanic in town and he only charged me $220. AND I had to have my car realigned a month later!George Hauks is a ripoff. They are greedy and they will lie to you and inflate the cost of services to get extra money out of you. Id go anywhere in town but here.

I had another tire shop- Allied- tell me I needed $533 worth of repairs (new ball joints). I took to Hauks for second opinion (should have been first place I went and usually is). I told Hauks that I was told the ball joints were bad and they could have gotten me for the money as well, but being the honest people they are they did my alignment and said that was all I needed and my vehicle is perfectly fine. I won’t go anywhere else.

Those people that posted negative reviews about George Hauks got to be crazy! Every time I go there they are SO busy, so I guess only negative people post negative reviews, otherwise nobody would go there. George Hauks is the best auto repair shop around. I been taking my cars there for years and have always been treated fairly. They always make sure things are right, if it not right, they make it right, fair and honest.

Top notch repair shop. Its hard to find an auto repair place that you feel confident wont price gouge you, especially coming to a new town. Im really glad I found this place.Basically, my situation was my brake pedal went all the way to the floor. I was concerned about the master cylinder and brake booster, so I called about 6-7 places in Alexandria to get price quotes, knowing the approximate national average for each repair (parts and labor) from research online. Several popular shops (based on results from Yelp and Google) were trying to charge double or even triple national averages! And many were offended I was even asking. Surprisingly, the local Honda dealership was nowhere near the highest (but still high).So, finally I got to Hauks. First thing, the lady I talked to was totally unbothered by me asking price questions, and even sat on the phone looking for local places she could get the parts for the best price. That was a huge positive sign to me. So, I took the car there and the experience was great. They were easy going, and recommended flushing and bleeding the brake system before doing anything expensive. That did the trick! And I was treated like someone they wanted to help, with solid customer service throughout.These guys won my business, and Ive been back since to fix a tire. I highly recommend them.

My family and friends and I have used Hauks for many years. I believe they have the best reputation in central Louisiana for the tire/alignment etc. business. Never heard a negative word about them till I read a couple of reviews here. If you dont want to deal with irresponsible ignorant youths with rotten attitudes come here.

Took my car here to get some new tires put on the rear and an alignment. In the process of working on my car they damaged the body and leather steering wheel. At the time both the owners George and Shawnee saw the damage and said theyd take care of it. I had the steering wheel replaced at the dealership where I bought the car from and then took the receipt to George Hauks and asked to be reimbursed. The lady working at the desk said theyd call me.After 3 hours I called them back and spoke with Shawnee Hauk, who informed me that they would not pay for the steering wheel to be replaced, only repaired. I told her that I got an estimate from a local body shop (that they referred me to) and that I was told the steering wheel couldnt be repaired, only replaced. She disagreed with me, saying that she contacted them and that they were able to repair it, and that she was being very generous to even offer to do that. When I attempted to explain that I had the steering wheel replaced at the dealership I bought the vehicle from because it was less expensive to do there and I had it replaced due to what I was told at the body shop, she told me Your car has 37,000 miles on it and Im not buying you a new car. I told her that I didnt appreciate the way she was talking to me and that Id prefer to come down there and talk with both her and George Hauk, at which point she said to me If you bring your ass down here its not going to end up good for you. I replied with excuse me? and she said yeah, thats right!! and hung up on me.A couple hours later I was able to contact George Hauk by phone, who immediately told me that I was trying to commit insurance fraud. He wouldnt let me speak at all, instead going on a 2 minute rant without letting me get in a word edgewise. He said that they werent going to cut me a check so I can pocket the money, and that now they werent going to take care of the repairs at all. After explaining to him that I was not trying to get reimbursed for the amount written on the estimate from the body shop, but rather just for the steering wheel replacement done at the dealership he continued to tell me that I was trying to commit insurance fraud, and that I was lying to him because I never got an estimate done. I attempted to explain to him that I got the steering wheel replaced at the dealership based on the estimate that I received from the body shop, but he really didnt seem to be paying attention to me, he simply continued to accuse me of lying and attempting to commit insurance fraud. At the end of the call I was told that if I took my car back to the auto body shop that they would still pay for the damage to the body, but only for repair of the steering wheel.I had no intention of trying to take advantage of this business, or its owners. They damaged my car and I just wanted it to be fixed properly. I cant understand why the owners think it would be acceptable to threaten me and accuse me of trying to commit a crime, just because they feel that they shouldnt have to pay to get the repairs done properly.Also wanted to add that the car didnt feel to be driving right when I got it back from them, so when I had the steering wheel replaced at the dealership I had them do an alignment. Turns out that George Hauks didnt do the alignment properly; the toe angle on the rear wheel was way off.

Went here to get an alignment on my car. I was told that my car would still pull to the right because my tires where worn from driving with a bad alignment. Thing is my tires were less than a week old! When I told the lady this she just kept saying this can happen fast, but that is total crap. I wont be back.
