Items almost always in stock, store is clean, and I love seeing the new babies!

Really busy when I was there. It was right after work though. Employees were helpful and searched me out a couple of times to make sure I could find what I was after. The only disappointment was I expected a larger amount of choices in inventory. You do have the option to go online and order.

Friendly staff, my puppy Coco loved it(bath and nail clip). I like it when i can leave my dog with people that seem to sincerely love animals.

Staff wasnt very helpful during our visit and the employee in charge of the fish department lied to make a sale. She sold us dead snails. We were there in the last hour of the day and noticed there were several empty shells in the snail tank. The water was clear so when she told us they receive that many empty shells with every shipment, we thought perhaps their supplier did this. Then when we asked for snails that were active because of our concern about the empty shells, she talked us out of the ones we wanted, explaining the type was escape artists (somewhat true). Then told us the other type had all been active just before, but it was end of night. She grabbed 2 that werent on the glass which concerned us but she seemed knowledgeable so we accepted them. They were dead! They never came out of their shells. Now we dont trust the fish department because of this employee in charge of it.

Friendly staff and a great place the only reason for four stars is because the last few times I have went they havent stocked their fish and hardly had anything

We got our little Cavashon, Gracie groomed here this morning. Madison did a great job! Gracie looks beautiful, and no more mats and tangles! We will return.

Needed to return an item without a receipt. I was given a store credit which was not a problem.Went right back to the cat department made my selection paid for my selection use my credit.I was good I had two different cashiers they were both very nice ladies.All was good.

We just bought a hamster. It was called a winter white hamster. We named her Wynter. She is light Grey and white. Service was wonderful. Thanks PetSmart.

I only had a salon service for my puppy Bree and Katie did a great job. She was really nice and they were gentle with her and comforting. Thank you we will be back in the future. 🙏💗

Im not liking the cat adoption department. Was super interested in a cat before Christmas but the volunteer said fill out an application theyll get it tomorrow. 2 weeks later texts me my app was lost and just found. Then setup a appointment to meet the cat, then later cancelled and has not attempted to reschedule. Poor cat could have enjoyed Christmas and new years with a loving family.

The lady on the phone was very polite and provided the answer I requested . However when I drove out there to look at their algae eating fish the girl in that department was inconsiderate and misdirected with her priorities. She was so worried with putting the new fish in that she actually push the cart back in the way of the fish I was looking at. Furthermore there were at least five dead fish that I seen in the small tank that I was seeking to buy…and many other tanks with multiple dead fish in it. This alone with poor customer service led me to just walk away.

After calling on Friday, I was told by Scott, they would have more parakeets on Monday. I called Monday morning to confirm, and was told they were being put on the floor, I drove 30+ miles and when I arrived, there were none! Told by girl on floor that they arrive on Wednesdays, are quarantined for 5 days, then put on the floor on Mondays. When I called after I left and spoke to Scott again, to ask WHY he told me they would be there and there are none? He said they had some and sold them on Friday, so did he not a. Quarantine the birds for 5 days..b. Lied about selling them on Friday as I spoke with him that day and he never said that? Hence my long drive there Monday! Hmmmm I prefer people and businesses to own up to their mistakes, but apparently lying is easier. Never Again will I purchase anything for my new bird that I happily got elsewhere!

I was having difficulty getting my cats prescription diet food due to supply issues...I ordered the food with the online pharmacy but they were waiting on Royal Canin. My vet also checked around w/ nearby vets with no luck.I called Petsmart & you had both of the types of cat food I needed!!! I got the last bag of GI fiber response diet!The associate on the phone was so sweet, she held the food for me because I live in Madisonville...had to go get the script from vet in Sweetwater...then travel up to Alcoa! That’s a lot of driving!So, thanks to the cool lady @ Banfield that helped me with the card & the kind cashier up front.

Buying a toy for the dog she went in and found what she wanted and carried it around until we paid for it.

Can be pricey but sells good food for cats with sensitive stomachs

I came in with 6 million questions about a gerbil because Im a beginner like hard-core beginner haha but he lead me in the right direction I needed to take in the current situation I was in and then recommended a white winter hamster to me and since yesterday me and the little guy have became best friends! So Chris if this reaches you thank you so much again I really appreciate your patience with me and for all of the information that you gave me!

Clean store. Quite a few empty spots on shelves. Went to get plastic lids for small cat food cans but they were out of them.

Have absurdly long wait times to before being helped every time Ive gone. Id recommend another location.

High prices and long lines ! Unexpected people who know know about pets! A saleS PetSmart person told my grandson his new hamster was going to grow to be a foot long! What a joke!

I took my min pin there to be groomed for the 1st time and I must say, I loved it!! My little girl can be a little temperamental and shows her teeth and growl at stranger but the groomer that took care of my little girl said that her behavior was good, so that tells me that they take the time to calm your pet and take it easy. When I went back to get her, by her body language, she was excited to see me plus she looked relaxed. She was very clean, smelled fantastic and I will be bringing my min pin, Korra, there from now on when she needs it.

Set appointment. Arrived. Seen. Diagnosed with lime disease, WRONG!!!! Treated for no reason at all but atleast my dog got sick from treatment. Diagnosed with limp leg due to lime disease, WRONG AGAIN!!!! Went to another vet who actually knew how to diagnose and treat animals. 0 lime disease, just has same kidney defect he has always had but nothing major. Leg turned out to be dislocated. Corrected asap. Best friend doing better now. Thanks pet smart for keeping my friend in pain. BTW still waiting on that xray you charged me for that you all of a sudden cant seem to locate. Nice scam.. With all the wrong diagnosis and wrong treatments do you think they discounted or said ooops our bad? NOPE THEY SAID PAY ME STILL!!!!! Find a better vet for your loved one. Its worth it to do so.

Staff was friendly and they had everything i needed for my aquatic babies!

We got a dog from the shelter on Friday. She was in such bad shape there are no words to describe it! The stench and mats! I took her to the grooming dept at 7 am on Saturday and some crazy woman actually decided to tackle the job. Mitzi did such an awesome job and were so thankful to her. She was patient and loving. Thank you Mitzi!

The checkout line was almost to the back of the store with only one register open. Observed other staff around the store. This is not the first time it has occurred to me. Need to utilize staff better to get customers out the door! No wonder Amazon is taking over the retail world.

I went to look at some kittens. I wanted to find a sibling for my previous kitten. I filled out the application and the lady called me back. Im a traveling cna. I understand the lady concern but I felt she was judgemental due to my job situation cause I travel from state to state I stay longer than my ending day. When a person want to adopt it shouldnt be judge regarding the situation as long as the kitten is safe it shouldnt matter. People travel all the them with their pets.

Petsmart has the standard selection of pet supplies. They offer a very convenient in store pick up. There are often a lot of dogs in the store, so keep that in mind if you plan to take your dog in with you.

The only place I take my dog to get his trimming! They are always so nice and friendly! Plus they always do such a great job on his nails, ears and teeth! He always leaves there trimmed clean and smelling good with a new bandana and always with a VERY affordable price! I love their services!

A great pet store, lots of variety

This place has a friendly feel to patrons and pets alike. Excellent service. Couldnt imagine a better place to take your pets.

The aquatic life here is sad and In horrible shape. My husband and I *unfortuantely* have to shop here since they are the only store that sells the food our dogs eat. I am a fish enthusiast and their lack of basic care for these fish is disgusting. Dead bettas floating in cups, the ones that are alive are barely moving and suffocating due to their dirty, nasty ammonia filled cups. The other tanks are old and always dirty and uncared for. Algae built up on all the tanks and always dead fish floating around. Why sell fish if you’re not even going to provide them with basic care? You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Other than the fish, the checkout line is always backed all the way to the back of the store and there is never anyone to help you if you have any questions. I hate coming here. We try to swing by the Knoxville store any chance we can to avoid coming here.

They almost always have what I need for my pet here but they always have a line at the checkout. There was a line at the checkout when I walked in and a line when I was ready to go.

Always out of fish on the ver day they say their supply comes in. Waste of time for me. Just order a few more.

Employees do not comply with Covid 19 mask regulation. Wearing the mask on your chin with nose and mouth exposed is not helpful. The other pet store in the area is very understanding and complies with their own policies. I will be shopping elsewhere until management gets the employees compliant or replaced. Also, two of the four feeder worms I purchased were dead.

Went in to pick up one item when I was ready to check out their was one cashier and she was doing a return which she was having problems with. There were six people in line ahead of me and abandoned carts with merchandise down the aisles where people left them because they were tied of waiting. I waited fifteen minutes before the line even moved.

I live in Maryville and the PetSmart in Alcoa has always provided me with my pet supply needs. This weekend I decided to add a few fish to my Tank that Ive had for YEARS. Rose was the employee that assisted with me. She was very knowledgeable, however, she was super rough with the extraction of the fish. She would sling them in the net and scrap them across the tanks. Ive never seen anyone be so rough with the fish anywhere. After collecting the 5 fish I inquired about, we went to check out. We informed Scott, the cashier/ Manager who checked us out that she should be a bit more gentle when dealing with the fish. He said we are busy, it happens, sometimes we want to kill them all and chuckled. The fish died on my way home 3 miles down the road. The next day I came back with the fish and Scott was the manager on duty and he was the last person I needed to talk to. Considering his lack of care the previous day. Note* this is the only place in town that has everything I need when it comes to my pets. Now I will choose to drive toTurkey Creek.

I had the best experience today. Not sure what the guys name was that helped me find the spray I was looking for but I think he was some kind of Mgr and the cashier were both wonderful!! Lauren was cashiers name. I will definitely be shopping there more often. They even have the cat food that I am unable to find half the time.❤

We just got a green tree frog at this PetSmart. Store was clean and the employees were helpful but they sold us food that were mealworms and crickets the crickets were almost as big as the Frog and I was concerned because the Frog didnt seem to be eating like it should. I looked in one day 3 months after getting him and he was dead. They need to sell the smaller crickets for smaller worms. We had become very attached to this frog we named him Yoda and he was a family member. Weve kept all his things and hopes of getting another one now that we have learned the hard way what they will and can eat oh, but we havent been able to find another frog and its going on 4 months since he died. My little boy was so happy to finally get one only to be disappointed

Went there to buy a specific harness, one that would fit a kitten and asked a worker if they had any more as the shelf was out of stock. She said they had gotten a shipment earlier that day but they hadnt opened it yet. I explained it was the only one that would fit and she said it was too much work to get to it. Sorry. So we had to drive 30 minutes to a different petsmart to get one. No too happy.
