Sam, Ben and Jason were great, patient diving instructors. I am happy to have completed my open water certification with Deep Blue. Diving 3 dives in the Blue Hole (Santa Rosa) to complete the certification was a beautiful experience for me after becoming acclimated on dives 2 & 3. I’m excited to see what the diving world holds for me in my future. This was a good first step 🌎🌿🙌

Who would want to dive in the middle of New Mexico...... Crazy fun, thrill-seeking, solid divers looking for a new challenge is who!!I came to NM to do my first altitude dive and first dive in the Southwest and could not have loved my experience more. Enrique was very welcoming as the shop owner and loved my experience diving with the three dive masters - Ben, Sam, and Heather.I got to join them for Womens PADI Day where they put in a lot of effort to create contests and fun events for all of all the amazing lady divers I met. They were experienced, fun to hang out, and most of all warm and welcoming for newbies.If you dive with them, youll get a taste of what a true diving community feels like. I cant wait to dive with them again soon.

We have been working with Samantha, Benjamin and Enrique and they are all wonderful instructors, take safety seriously, and genuinely love what they do (which makes it more fun)! They helped us get our Peak Performance Buoyancy and Altitude certifications and were very patient with me as I was diving in 7mm and cold water for the first time. We plan to do more trips to the Blue Hole with these folks and feel very comfortable sending our kids to them for their certifications.

I did my open water certification through Deep Blue Scuba. Overall, it was a great experience. Im glad I chose this shop. Enrique (the shop owner/ instructor) is an excellent instructor. Hes very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I was impressed with his responsiveness and communication. I received my certification over back-to-back weekends, which was convenient since I had a vacation rapidly approaching. The e-learning (online class) took me around 10 hrs to complete. The two pool sessions were fun. Enriques demonstrations and explanations of the skills were easy to follow. The trip down to the blue hole was a blast. We did four dives over two days, eventually getting to dive to the bottom of the blue hole. Thanks to Enrique and JT, I feel comfortable planning and executing a dive without supervision (with a buddy, of course). I highly recommend taking dive courses through Deep Blue Scuba!

I did my open water dive course with DB in 2012 and the staff were very knowledgeable and nice! Yesterday I completed my Advanced Open Water Dive with them and my experience was even better than the first time. So knowledgeable, friendly, caring and make you feel like family. I will never go anywhere else for my dive training. Love them!

We took their November open water diver class and highly recommend to anyone and everyone! We learned from a group of folks who radiated their love of diving, taught us the real application and welcomed us to their family. They also helped us troubleshoot gear and gave us advice to navigate our first upcoming dive out of the country. This is an excellent dive school and shop. Navarre is a top-notch instructor; highly skilled, patient with newbies and our foibles and made learning fun. Im a life-long landlubber but thanks to Navarre and Deep Blue, I was able to take my maiden swim in the ocean with (snorkeling) skills that actually surpassed those of my grew-up-on-the-water self-taught companion. I had 2 free weekends in a row and decided to get my open water diver certification. They were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and reasonably priced. They were patient in the training and made it fun even in the pool at west mesa aquatic center. The following weekend at blue hole in Santa Rosa, NM was tons of fun. It was very surprising to meet an awesome scuba diving community right here in our desert. I would highly recommend this dive shop to anyone interested in scuba even if you have a very busy schedule.

My two teenage sons just completed their open water certification through Deep Blue SCUBA. Enrique has a great operation. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and take time to do one-on-one when necessary. The rental equipment is in good shape. My kids had a great time and I was very comfortable that they were being taken care of.

My 12 and 13 year old kids were just open water scuba certified with Deep Blue Scuba. All of the staff were so helpful and patient. I did the Open Water course to get prepared for my vacation in June. The guys at Deep Blue Scuba were fantastic! I was looking for a course that would give me the knowledge, experience and confidence to dive in any location, and that’s exactly what they delivered. Deep Blue Scuba is very professional in and out of the water. I have gone through many training classes in my life and this was the most fun. From the sales personnel in the shop to the instructors in the classroom, pool and Blue Hole, everyone took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and ready for the certification. Just finished my basic and advanced certification with Deep Blue. Navarre and Enrique are amazing divers with loads of experience but what makes them the best is their accepting, calm, and open personalities. They were very understanding with me during class when I had some panic issues and they took the time to work with me 1 on 1 in the water. Deep Blue has some amazing divemasters as well, Devin, an instructor in training, was simply amazing.The guys here are always open to people just coming into the shop, sitting down, and chatting about scuba. Its very family like.I plan to be an instructor someday, these guys are going to help me get there.Go hang out in the shop and see for yourself, you wont regret it.

Within five minutes of walking in to this shop I had been shown a couple over priced items and in showing me one of these items the shop employee pulled it off the rack and dropped a spider on to my foot.This coupled with the eye watering smell of actual dog poop was enough to see me out of this store forever.

Careful! Its addictive!They certify you here and then youre hooked! Always coming back for more, one more dive, one more fun filled weekend, one more vacation to a beach or lake, one more certification... yeah, always one more. Next thing you know, youre known as the dive junky. With more waterproof flashlights then dives your allowed in a 24 hour period. You only have dive buddies because all your normal friends are tired of seeing you amazing vacation photos and hearing you outlandish seafaring tales. Remember there is no support once youre hook.PS This shop has comparable prices to Amazon and they help do maintenance on the products they sale you. They rent as well and are pretty cool dudes, they are more then interested in swapping stories. Ask them about a refresher course. The certification is a bit nerverwacking but it is worth it. As fun as these dudes are, they are professionals and hold your safety in the highest regard. The class goes at your pace, they wont push you to do anything youre not ready for and they dont give up on you.

Just completed the open water certification with my son and had a great time. All the instructors were outstanding and go above and beyond to help you. Also the help we received buying our gear was excellent. My son and I are already talking about getting our advance certification.

Family and I recently got certified OWD. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Instructors made the classroom fun and informative knowing we just wanted to get in the water. My daughter required some extra attention and training and they went above and beyond, set up a one-on-one session with her at the pool in order to get her trained sufficiently and safe. An abundance of volunteer dive masters showed up at Blue Hole so everyone was constantly supervised and safe. Store has ample supply of equipment to meet your needs. They definitely deserve 5 star rating!!! I will most certainly be going back to dive or purchase any equipment. Cant wait until my schedule allows me to go on one of their organized dive trips!!

I took my OWD with Deep Blue and had a fantastic experience. All the staff was helpful no matter how many times I had to clarify. Even though Navarre was my instructor Will, Bill, Marie and others were always there to answer any questions I had.Would I recommend Deep Blue Scuba to other absolutely, I already have.I cant wait to go out again and use the skills that I have been taught, I like the fact that I can go with them any time to keep my skills fresh and practice them with the instructors is great.

I got PADI Certified by Fred Harper. Fred is the kindest most patient instructor I have every dealt with. The whole process was interesting & Fred made it a fun memorable experience.Additionally the staff @ Deep Blue Scuba was great. I felt like family by the time I had completed my certification.I highly recommend Deep Blue Scuba & Fred Harper for any & all of your scuba diving needs.

DBS was very accommodating to my schedule. I couldnt dive back to back weekends and I couldnt do an open water dive on Sunday because I had a flight. They let us split up the pool sessions and Blue Hole sessions by a month and then met us at Blue Hole on a Friday afternoon.Had instructors Ray, Bill, Enrique, and Navar. Our class had 3 people the first weekend and 7 people the second weekend. So overall small class sizes that give you a lot of time to practice underwater skills.Also if you buy gear from them, their selling point is that you can try out what you buy during the course and then exchange it if you arent satisfied. They point out that this isnt necessarily the case with online sellers. Ended up exchanging boots and mask after the pool session, so that worked out well.If you have schedule concerns just call them and they will probably make it work.

I took Deep Blue Scubas Discover Scuba class and it was great. I got one on one attention and confirmed that this is something I want to pursue. All the staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be registering for Deep Blue Scubas ope water class!

My instructor Sylvia and Dive Master Robert were so supportive and patient. They obviously wanted every student to become a successful diver. I was ready to quit after the first pool dive. There was so much so fast and I was freaked out. They worked diligently with me once I told them I was struggling, and now Im open water certified! I didnt get my instructions when I signed up for the class, so was quite confused about where to be and when in the beginning, but once the class started, all was clear.

Not the best shop in town, could use alot of improvement. Staff seems stressed out, last week employee said we dont know cant really help you with that not knowledgeable, owner was on the news. We wont be back

I was very nervous to Scuba Dive. I struggled with taking off my mask in the training classes. The instructors kept working with me for hours. They were so patient; supporting me and encouraging me. I finally got it! Thanks to their care and instruction, I am now a Certified Open Water Scuba Diver!

Diving in the morning, for lunch they brought out their grill and everyone was making burgers and what not hanging out for a couple of hours before returning to the water..... oh yea so bring something to bbq when you go....we missed that whole thing...but the instructors was quick to offer us burgers so it was all good.Dinner with everyone in the evening gave you more time to get to know the instructors and other students.The whole thing was just a good time!!

A friend and I recently went down to Deep Blue Scuba to get certified . From the very beginning it was a fantastic expieriance . We meet with different instructors and they were excited about helping us find the right equipment for our first go around.The classes were not only thurogh but fun and the instructors made even the class room exciting. When it was time to hit the pool for the first time I had every confidence in my instructors and was ready to have fun.Never having tried scuba I was not sure what to expect . IT WAS FANTASTIC. By the end of the first day I was comfortable and confident in myself and the equipment. My dive instructor William(Bill) and his team made it an expieriance I will recomend to everyone. When we left the our final session in the pool I could not wait to hit Blue Hole .Blue hole was an adventure . There were divers everywhere and they all seemed LOST. It was great to have instructors that had there game together and were orginized and on top of things .I WOULD RATE BEEP BLUE SCUBA AND ALL ITS PEOPLE AS TOP NOTCH AND THE INSTRUCTION FANTASTIC . THEY GAVE ME THE BASE SKILLS TO MAKE MY EXPIERIANCE SAFE AND FUN
