I think Bacas Trees is one of the best businesses Ive ever dealt with. From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, and they did a wonderful job with the trees on our property. Robert came out first to give me an estimate. Hes one of the owners and he seems like such a great guy, very honest, courteous, and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my many questions about our trees. Then the crew came, led by Manuel, who is incredibly nice and has a wonderful, positive attitude, just ready to do anything that I asked him to do. The crew were polite and worked efficiently, and then they hauled away the yard waste and cleaned up the yard. They didnt bill as much as I even expected them to, which I appreciate so much.

We are so impressed at the safe and clean removal of the old tree. It looks amazing - you wouldn’t even know that there was another tree there. They were careful when taking it down so that there was no damage to our house and other landscaping.

Just from the consultation the service was poor, very rude and then trying to get the quote was bad also. Why do people have to be rude when trying to get service. Im sorry that you have to work but maybe your not a customer service type person.

The person in charge of planting the tree was not in the office so we just scheduled a time for them to come and plant a tree before May. We tried numerous times to call about details, but no one returned our call. We also emailed numerous times and still received no response.When the scheduled day arrived, the man who was going to plant the tree was amazingly nice but he couldnt plant it because he was unaware he still had to remove the previous stump and didnt have the right equipment. He said he would talk to whoever was in charge. That person talked to my husband days later on the phone and said the stump was too big. If that person would have contacted us we could have taken care of that and been prepared.Now it is too late to plant the tree. My husband asked to talk to the manager or the owner and they said they would call back later with the number. They never called back.

I called to make an appointment for a sick tree. The soonest they thought they could get here was 16 days later. I told her that I was afraid my tree would die in that time but she didnt seem to care. The morning of my appointment she called and left a message that they couldnt make it and I should call and rebook. When I did she said someone would be out 4 days later and would call me that morning with a time. Its now 6 days later and I havent heard from anyone from there. Obviously its too late to help my poor tree.

I have called this place numerous times. They say they will call back. Never do. Local is supposed to be better not in this case. They have pictures of the tree and I have been in contact since Jan 2nd.

I had a really terrible experience with Bacas trees. Ive utilized their services for about 3 years now (and for 3 other jobs), however, this time they gave me a quote on some work and when the workers came out, we talked through the work I wanted done (trimming elms along an electrical line in my backyard), and they went to work. They did a great job, however, they werent wearing masks the entire time, not when they were interacting with me or with each other. I also watched out my window as they mocked my gay pride flag with each other. After they left, I received an invoice in the mail a couple days later. It reflected the quote. Two days after that, I received an email and all it said was revised invoice attached - no explanation, and it was for $300 + more! Not once did the workers tell me that they would have to charge more than the quote during the entire time they were there.I sent an email to Bacas explaining that I had no idea that it would be this much and had they told me, I wouldnt have had as much work done (I had to arrange a second unnecessary trimming in order to get them to come out because their original quote didnt meet their price quota - had I known they were going to charge me that much in the end, I wouldnt have had to schedule additional work in the first place).I NEVER heard back from the email I sent, and they cashed my check for the original invoice.This afternoon I received a call from an incredibly RUDE woman (I think her name was Laura, but I cant remember) asking about my remaining balance. I relayed to her the situation and said that I had sent an email and never heard back. She rudely told me that if additional work was done, I would have to pay. She said, Did you really think that 3 elm trimmings would only cost $60? She was incredibly condescending and said that if I went to a mechanic and they did more work than originally asked because there were issues, you have to pay more. I told her, of course, but they let you know the increased charges along the way, and you agree to the increased charges. Hello! I also told her about how they werent wearing masks and were homophobic and she told me that had nothing to do with me paying my bill. She kept interrupting me and arguing with me. I was shocked to be honest.I will never work with Bacas trees again AND THEY ARE CROOKS AND HOMOPHOBIC.

Fantastic company. Been using them for 3 years now. They are very friendly except for once about 3 months ago. They get the job done. Professional and have done everything we asked. They have cleaned up good afterwards. I will continue to used them. The guy that came out just recently a few days ago was awesome and extremely nice. I have recently moved. I assumed this guy, my new home, is in his location which is a plus.

Be very careful with your work order and describe and detail everything you want done. Be physically present for the entire job. Do not expect them to treat your trees with care or thought. The job that was performed on my property was carried out by hired hands who didnt understand the direction. When we confronted Baca Trees about this we were given an excuse. The attached picture is a 1/3 trim. Notice how many of the branches are chainsawed off. I cannot recommend this company for arbor related services UNLESS you want to butcher the tree.

I had an appointment today “around 9:30ish” to have our tree’s trimmed. At 9:52 I called to see if they were still coming and was told that they have an hour leeway. Okay, that’s reasonable but knowing that would have been helpful. There was no mention of this in Dennis’s email to me scheduling the appointment. At 10:50 I called and canceled. Good customer service is such an easy thing to manifest. Making a phone call and communicating with your customer goes along way. In all fairness, I have used Baca’s before and been very satisfied. What happened Baca’s?

AWESOME! I wish every company the I have to deal with was as professional, efficient, and fair-priced as Bacas Trees! I have 2 - 30 foot high silver maples with freeze damage and bores, one dead and the other with damaged high limbs. Bacas gave me a fair price, showed up right on schedule, and removed the dead tree and limbs without a hitch. 6 workers came and worked like a synchronized machine. Literally in and out in 2 hours and didnt leave so much as a leaf for me to clean up. From the office staff, to the estimator, to the arborist (yes, these guys arent tree trimmers, theyre surgeons), every step of the process was great. I will never consider or trust any other company with my trees again!

We had used Bacas Trees once in the past for some tree pruning and other than the difficulty of getting Corky Baca to return calls, it was finally scheduled and work was done fine. We then scheduled pruning a cherry tree for last January or February - and my error, my fault, I either didnt add the date for pruning to my calendar (I live and die by my calendar) or it somehow was deleted, at any rate they showed up to do the work and I wasnt home. I received a call they were there and unfortunately I was working a temp job so had to cancel. I apologized for my error and explained it wasnt on my calendar and was at work. I called today to reschedule for this winter and was told they would not be doing work for us because of the cancellation without notice. The girl on the phone was not very professional, rather rude, said they had called a month prior to confirm the appointment as well as the day before. I can guaranty nobody called the day before because I would have made a point to stay home that day. I dont remember a month before call - but that could have happened and again who knows what happened in my calendar. Again, Im taking full responsibility for not having the appointment on my calendar, but I also feel they have taken a rather harsh and unprofessional stand. I could complain just as much with the inability to reach Corky Baca and his delays in returning calls. They lost a customer which I doubt they care about, but then again in reading some of the reviews here....I am not alone in my complaints.

I have had great service from Bacas Tree company. Its difficult to randomly find a good tree company on the internet. I was a little weary after reading some of the bad reviews. I took a chance and glad I did it. Both times (1/2019, 2/2020) were better than I expected. Their prices were almost half of what my gardener quoted me for his company. Their work was high quality. Their people were punctual and professional. They had the equipment and the expertise for big trees, small trees, and even shrubs. I spoke to a real person right away when I called them. They even called to follow-up after the job was completed. They left my yard looking beautiful and clean. I couldnt be happier. Thank you!

I have tried to schedule a trim and a spray for over two weeks. I’ve followed up four times and never get the promised call or email back. I understand this is a trying time for everyone, but if you have a sick tree it’s probably better to call someone else.

We loved all aspects of working with Baca’s Trees! From the initial call for an estimate to the impeccable cleanup, we are very happy with the work that was done and the friendly folks we encountered along the way. We had a small tree removed (inc. grinding the stump down) and two trees trimmed of dead branches. We were gone while the work itself was done, and we came home to our trees looking trim and healthy with the third now completely gone. There was hardly any evidence there was a work crew here, considering next to no debris from either project. We are excited to see the new growth on the trees in the Spring. Would highly recommend them to anybody and will definitely use them again. Also, we felt they were very reasonably priced, especially considering the high quality of their work.

We had them out to evaluate some trees. The person that came out was kind of rude when I was unable to change the time we had scheduled for an appointment, but he did come at the scheduled time and looked at our trees and made suggestions. We got the quote which was high, but just wanted to get it done so agreed to move forward. Didnt hear back for several days. We reached out again and they said someone would be in touch. We never heard back. We let them know we were no longer moving forward with them and went with another company at almost half the price. Must be nice to have so much business you dont need any more.

We have three gentleman out at our house in Enchanted Hills. They are working on two large trees in our front yard. These trees have become enormous and overgrown to the point of blocking our driveway and walkway. They have kept in contact throughout the visit letting us know exactly what was being done. They are all extremely nice, hard working and polite. Would highly recommend their services. Thank you!

After many years of satisfied service from Bacas Trees, this year I have been most disappointed. We began calling for a drive-by estimate (we live in Socorro) in June. Many weeks passed and we received no estimate. We repeatedly called in July and August and have yet to receive a response. After my last call (#4), I was told that Robert would get back to me. The receptionist also indicated that she would check with him and get back to me. Still I have heard no response.

I dont think a business should be maligned by some bad reviews. While they may be true, every business has bad days now and then. You have to judge for yourself.I chose Bacas because they have been around for a long time. And I know they get large contracts, so they have the experience and the equipment to get the job done. Robert showed up a few minutes early for my estimate and quoted a fair price. The crew also showed up early a couple days later, and that was fine with me. They did not mess around and got right to work trimming all the small dead branches and a few large ones from my pine tree. It looks like it got a nice haircut from a pro. The crew cleaned up and hauled off all the debris. Give Bacas a call. They know trees.

I submitted a request for a quote online and promptly received a call back the next day for details and an address. This was last Monday, 4/16. I need a tree removed as well as bushes that line the side of my property. Its a fairly large job. The scheduler told me someone would do a drive by Tuesday morning, Wednesday at the latest and get back to me. I didnt hear back, so I followed up the following Thursday. I was assured that I was put back on the schedule and would hear back soon. Here I am a week later, and still nothing. I understand that this time of year is probably very busy, even though that was not communicated to me when I called. Busy or not, some kind of communication would have been appreciated. I guess they dont want my money?

Scheduled appointment. Lady calls and asks me a few questions and says my problem is weed killer. Told her I never use weed killer i have gravel. . She is rude and says ok see you tomorrow Then she comes over and doesnt even go to back yard and says yup its weed killer youll have to cut the tree down ill give you a qoute. I got a 2nd opinion and the guy says the tree is in shock but far from dead on one side, keep watering and it will come back. Talked to neighbors they said there trees have had same issues. I usually dont post bad reviews but this lady totally didnt want to her job and was very rude from the 1st call I received like I was inconveniecing her

I have a desert willow and another tree that have been looking sick this spring. I called Bacas trees and asked them to come out and diagnose the issue. Camille came out to our house and immediately concluded that the trees had been poisoned by Roundup. Camille said that there was nothing that we could do to save the tree. She was in and out in under 10 minutes. Weeks later my pest control guy came out and found a scaling on the trees, in addition to a wood wasp. He surmised that the wood wasp had been depositing its larva into my trees, causing the scaling and funky re-growth of leaves during the spring. He let me know that there is a treatment they offer, and in addition the trees should be getting more water. Had I known that 3 weeks ago when the arborist came out, I would have been making an effort to save the trees immediately.Needless to say, I am frustrated with Bacas trees. It is a little concerning that Camille didnt the time to look at the trees (like the Preventative Pest Control guy did). Not impressed. I would not recommend them.

Bacas Trees were great! It was smooth from getting the estimate to the day of the prune. The guys were fast and the entire experience was better than I expected. They cleaned up after themselves and my tree now looks amazing. I highly recommend and will continue to work with them.

Corkey Baca came by my home on April 15th and gave me an estimate to remove some Aspen trees. I called the next day and left a messsge with him to get the work scheduled. He did not retuen my call. A week later, I called the office again and confirmed they had the correct cell number and left another message. I also called his cell number and left a message, but he has NEVER called back. What a flake!

These are the nicest people to work with. The woman I talked to to set up the tree trimming service was so kind and pleasant. I called on a Monday to set up a quote and by Thursday at 9:30 am they had finished trimming and left me a nice pile of mulch and branches for firewood. This whole process could not be easier.

I called to speak with someone knowledgeable about an issue Im having with my shrub and Blue Spruce tree. The girl who answered the phone said I should talk with the owner but that catching him in the office was hit or miss and that I should just schedule an appointment. My time is valuable and before I take time off work to meet with him, I wanted to ensure he has some knowledge of the issues I was calling about. Bacas just lost a potential customer. I will NOT recommend them to anyone!

Great experience! I am a previous customer and although I only call about every 3 years, when I called, Lora treated me like family. Corkey met me on time and gave me a reasonable estimate. Three weeks later Carlos and crew trimmed all my trees leaving my yard spotless. The consistency of the service and the work is why I will always call Baca’s Trees.

We have used Bacas several times over the years for major tree jobs. These people are true professionals. This most recent order was to remove two huge branches hanging over our neighbors roof and to trim up all the dead branches right to the top of two giant, old cottonwoods. The crew showed up on the dot and was efficient and exacting in their work. After they were done, they left the yard completely clean of any debris, and they gave us a neat stack of firewood. Our neighbors all commented on how great the trees look now, and they marveled at how the workers could get those enormous branches down so cleanly. The bill for the work was exactly as quoted and quite reasonable. This company is awesome. We wouldnt use anyone else!

Their quotes were so breathtakingly expensive that I couldnt use Bacas trees at all. I will not support a business that overcharges.

I have used Bacas Trees twice. The first was to remove part of a tree that was causing damage to a block wall. The second was to remove a large stump that remained from a tree I cut down myself. Their service was excellent. They let me know what they intended to do and how much it would cost, they performed the work and it matched the estimate. The field staff was very professional and courteous, and they were backed up by an office staff that kept me informed (emailed proposals, confirmation of appointment, etc.). Very happy.

Bacas just pruned our 70 year old 60 foot tall Elm tree in our back yard. They took off 4 sizable branches that were overhanging our house and our neighbors property. The tree looks magnificent now! It is balanced, thinned out and very healthy. We have some smaller trees and alot of flower beds under the canopy of this tree. Bacas crew came out at the scheduled time, trimmed the tree and shaped it up, hauled all the debris away and did so in 4 hours and without stomping or destroying any of the landscaping below. The crew was polite and efficient and really knew what they were doing. The price for this service was less than most of the other quotes we got! We felt good knowing that Bacas uses licensed arborists and know how to properly trim trees. I would recommend Bacas trees to anyone needing professional tree trimming or removal.

I had a difficult situation: I had a large tree in my backyard that needed to be cut down because it was growing under the foundation of my house--and I had a small backyard with no access other than my backdoor. Bacas Trees had to go through my neighbors yard, taking down the wooden fences, to get to the tree, and to bring in a stump grinder. They did an amazing job. They cut down the problem tree, along with several other that were growing too close to my house, cleaned up everything, put the fences back up, and left my yard beautiful. I am very happy and would recommend them.

Overpriced & NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Great free advice initially, but then when they came to do the work they left my tree leaking sap over 1/3 of yard. They didnt tell me this would happen & now my poor dog has sap covering his paw & sticking the pads together. They didnt return my calls & refused to mitigate the problem saying its their busy season.

Last Friday, one of Baca Trees crews did some tree trimming work at a rental property next door to our home. They did an amazing job! What was a nuisance and an eyesore is now a real visual asset to the neighborhood.I highly recommend Baca Trees, Inc!

We had scheduled tree removal two weeks ago for today. No one showed up. After waiting for them, I called and was told that they would have to reschedule for a month from now. They offered no apologies or alternate solutions. This is unacceptable business practice.

ZERO STARS.If you want terrible service, snark, to wait a week for them to complete the job that was supposed to take an hour, and have the crew take an hour long nap in your front yard, these are your people!I honestly cant remember the last time Ive received such terrible service.Thanks for leaving all the wood on the side of the road for 5 days so no one could park there on our street!I 100% do not believe any 5 star rating is legit.

A 3 person Baca Trees crew started work this morning on a tree in my neighbors yard. The crew entered my property without consent and started to work.I watched through a window for a few minutes and began recording video of the crew trampelling the new landscaping in my yard. The few moments I captured on camera revealed unsafe workers attempting to top a tree.I witnessed a few small branches land on a workers head who was removing debris from my property. I immediately spoke to the workers about the conditions they were generating. The crew informed me that it was the neighbors responsibility to inform me that a crew would be entering my property and working haphazardly.I informed them I was calling the office to report unsafe working practices and to discuss how the crew did not obtain my consent to enter and work on my property. I expressed that if I was released of all liability for their actions, the crew would be liable for damages, and they would clean my property of any debris they created, they could continue working on my property.After speaking with the crew supervisor, I informed him that the crew could finish the job with released liability on my behalf and Baca would be liable for any damages on my property, he agreed that they could finish.Shortly after the phone call with supervisor and discussion with crew they packed up and left the job unfinished. I informed them multiple times they could do the work my neighbor ordered without any obstructions as long as the work was done safely.I wouldnt hire Baca because of poor communication, unsafe workers, no considerations for other peoples property. When I spoke with crew and supervisor they didnt understand that my concerns were more about their personnel operating without regard for safety rather than the mess in my yard.

I had two trees pulled and an Aspen planted and as always Baca Trees did a fantastic job.

I just had some work done in my yard by Baca Trees, INC. They did a wonderful job trimming and shaping a bush the size of my house down to size. They also cut back an unruly cholla, trimmed the pampas grass down to the ground (it will grow back by the summer) and cut down a small tree in the back yard. The work is everything I asked for and very well cleaned up. The appointment was for when I wasnt here, but I couldnt have directed a better effort. It was nice to come home to a great looking, manicured front yard.Id definitely recommend Baca Trees, Inc. Free estimates!

Horrible. They sent out an obvious learned person to give the estimate then sent a crew of young men who did not know what they were doing. They killed my Golden Rain tree by taking off too much canopy. I consulted our local extension agent the year after they did the job because my tree was not leafing out and blooming as it should and he told me to give it a couple of years but that it would most likely die. This is the third spring since they did the job and I will most likely lose a 25 year old tree this year.

Work crew came to tear down a tree in the backyard. They also cut straight through the gas lines, tore down the fence, and left tree bits all over the back porch. To add insult to injury, they ate lunch in our driveway and threw the garbage in the recycle bin. They did get the tree down, so for that they get 1 star.

It took 12 working days to get a estimate when i was told it would be 2 days. When i finaly did get the estimate i had already got tired of waiting called someone else and got a estimate and the work complete in 3 days. Plus Bacas was $140 more then the company i went with.

I scheduled a meeting to check my tree that had a problem, on the day of the service, a person calls me saying that drove by the area and knows what problem is. My scheduled meeting with that person gets cancelled and tells me that I will receive a quote for removal and to plant another tree. I dont think a person can determine a problem on one tree by driving around the area. I decided to go with a different company that will actually do an evaluation and do something about the problem.

Person Dora answering the phone extremely unprofessional!!! I was a new customer and she kept laughing in the background with someone else, having a very short attitude and ignoring my questions. If this is the service I receive as a new customer I cant imagine the rest. Horrible service.
