This place is amazing. They have everything you need to sew or quilt. They did some warranty repairs on a vacuum I bought elsewhere. Nice folks. Beautiful store.

I am totally impressed with this place. My beloved vacuum suddenly stopped working one weekend. Googled vacuum repair and Bobs came up. Gave em a call and they were open on a holiday weekend so I took it down and explained what happened, hoping they could fix it. Super nice folks here, a d very transparent. The following week, they called me and said my vacuum was ready to go home. I went and picked it up and they put a new bag in and totally cleaned it up. Works like it was brand new! I will definitely be returning for all of my vacuum and sewing needs.

We brought in a vacuum to be repaired. When we brought it home after they replaced the wiring harness and heat switch, it did not work. We took it back and they repaired the switch, but forgot to put a handle on the machine and stripped screws in the head of the vacuum. We had to go back to get the handle. When we used it, the roller on the head did not spin. We gave up on their work. The parts used looked like they were taken off other used machines. If you take your vacuum, make sure you receive new parts. We were very disappointed in their attention to detail.

I took my Dyson vacuum here thinking that the battery pack needed repairs, or worse, a replacement due to it not working continuously when the button is pressed. Turns out, it just needed a filter replacement!I was amazed by the nice lady (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) who was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem from my jumbled, awkward description of the fault. Not only was she knowledgeable about what was wrong with my vacuum, but she also charged me a fair price for a replacement part.If I ever need a vacuum repaired, this will be my go-to shop from now on!

Nice and friendly staff- they were super helpful..helped me replace some missing screws that the company doesnt even stock after I purchased a brand new carpet cleaner that failed to put any screws in the box!

I took my vacuum cleaner in to be repaired. I was told I would be called with an estimate which never happened. I never even received a call when the vacuum was ready. After 6 trips back and forth to the store the vacuum was never fixed & they would not refund my money to my credit card because they had worked on the but didn’t fix it. My neighbor took a look at it & fixed it with a $4 part. Turned out nothing was wrong with the vacuum just the cord. Isn’t checking the cord vacuum fixing 101? The owner was not very helpful when I called him on having to make 6 trips & not apologizing for not being able to fix it. I wouldn’t purchase anything from this store.

My little Green Machine popped a hose and these guys have repaired my Dyson in the past. I am looking forward to having use of my deep cleaner again soon. With the pandemic, I understand there has been a bit of a back log of repair orders, so I am expecting it to be a week or two. Good customer service and attentive staff. My last experience was good enough that I have returned.

I have used this shop for years. They have been able to tackle every vacuum and sewing issue Ive presented them with. They also took the time to help educate me on my sewing machine and help me find the correct accessories and thread/needles for my current projects, when I developed issues after I had the machine serviced. I cannot recommend this shop enough, Ill never go anywhere else.

I bought a Pfaff sewing machine from Bob’s about 6 months ago. On December 17th I took my sewing machine in to be fixed, for the 2nd time, I was told they’d get on it right away because it was still under warranty. That was 2 weeks ago. Today I was told the mechanic is on vacation until January 4. If I had been told that to begin with, I would be understanding. I feel I was lied to!

Well I wanted to email Bobs sewing and vac but no email is listed. Or any way to contact them other than by phone. Briefly , Ive had the opportunity to purchase from Bobs twice since the virus. I read their post regarding curb side service. And that a 20% discount is being offered during this time. I didnt know of the discount on my first visit. Therefore none was applied. On my second visit I asked the employee who came to my car. He asked if I had purchased my machine there. I said no and he said a 10% discount was only offered to people who had purchased their machines from Bobs. He took my money went inside and returned with the items I requested my change and receipt. I showed him on my phone where the 20% off discount was. He said well what you want me to go back inside for that? . he said it very rudely as if how dare I make him do his job and apply a discount and want my correct change back. I said no why would I want my money? I havent worked in 2 months due to the virus. I really dont need the money. He was very satisfied with my responce and off he went. I guess since he hasnt been layed off from his job he doesnt quite understand how it feels to be out of work.

Edit to add-May 29, 2020 I recieved a call from the Owner of Bobs Sewing and Vacuum Center. He said that they had a brand new machine for me and apologized for the experience that I had. He even hand delivered the new machine to my front door! Now thats customer service!I am extremely pleased with the outcome of this situation.Unfortunately I still would not recommend having to have any interaction with his son who is the repairs manager and the man who I had to deal with initially.BUYER BEWARE!!!I purchased what was supposed to be a brand new Pfaff 630 sewing machine from this local business on May 20, 2020. The machine ran as expected for the first two days that I had it. On the third day I turned on the machine to start a project and it was frozen (the hand wheel could barely turn and the needle would move down with a jerking motion and then freeze when trying to pull back up) the screen would say that it needed to reset. This happened over and over and then suddenly the machine started functioning but was not stitching properly. It ran for a while in this fashion but did run. I turned it off but when I went back to it later it did the same thing. The following day it ran for a while but the stitching was off and the thread was knotting and bunching under the foot plate over and over again ( it is supposed to be a fully automatic machine that senses tension, and pressure and adjust it self according the the thread/fabric/stitch being used at any given time). At that time the computer began to malfunction, not using the stitch that I had in put but using stitches from several commands back. The touchscreen also began malfunctioning and splitting when I would try to switch from one screen to another. I returned the machine to the store yesterday, May 26,2020. At the time of the return the man who took the machine told me that it was clearly not operator error but something fatal inside the machine from the factory. He said that he would be in touch with the manufacturer to arrange a return.Today, May 27,2020, just after 10:00 am he called me and told me that he was not going to replace the machine with a functional one nor would he issue a refund. He said that the only thing that he was willing to do was to have me go in and sit down with one of his employees to have them teach me how to use the faulty machine properly. When I told him that this wasnt a satisfactory solution he got nasty and hung up on me.They are now in possession of the Pfaff that I purchased from them AND my $1400.

Did a great job repairing my sewing machine. Dont expect to get your machine back in a day or two, though. They are a busy place, apparently, and took a week or more to fix my sewing machine. I was not in the middle of any projects, so that wasnt really a problem.

This is a good place for vacuum repair. They work quickly and reasonably. The only problem was that they didnt call me, as promised, when my vacuum was ready. I had to call and find out that is was done.

Great place to have a old signer worked on. The front window says that they’ll service any sewing machine. But they didn’t want to service my husqvarna viking. But still a great place!

Well we have a pet wet vac we have taken to this place twice. The price was reasonable to fix however the vac broke again a couple months later. Just took it back and they will try and fix. We shall see.

They are on the West Side.! I didnt know they had another location! Needless to say, when I learned of their other location, I was pleasantly relieved.... They are next to Burlington, Savers, and behind Whataburger on Alameda. ! Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Slightly expensive BUT they had EXACTLY what I needed and no messing around with stuff that may work for the vacuum I have. (Also, I grabbed a cpl extra things while there- might as well cover all bases while I was there)

Yesterday my wife took in a fairly expensive Pfaff 7530 sewing machine to be serviced. It was working fine apart from having a stiff handwheel that wouldnt turn reliably with the clutch engaged. Soon after we got a call saying it needed a new circuit board, which was strange considering that whatever was wrong with it was purely a mechanical issue. What we got back today was a machine that was in a vegetative state - lights blinking, unresponsive, completely inoperable. Basically, they fried the motherboard and had the audacity to try to charge us $400 for a new one. These people are crooks, plain and simple.

I am a diy-er and called for a part for my KIrby vacuum and spoke with their technician DJ. He was very helpful and asked me a few questions to make sure I was getting the right part and not wasting my money. He had the part I needed so I headed down to get it. When I was there he treated my wife and I very courteously and professionally and he even gave me some tips on finishing the repair on my vacuum. Very satisfied! DJ is a fantastic employee, not only does he have the skills as a technician, he knows how to treat people with respect and value them. Keep up the good work DJ! Great customer service skills!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Rick is a problem, I happened to wonder into the store not really looking for anything specific. When I did ask why a particular machine was over $1k, he stated its a water machine. Right, I have no clue what that means, and asked to be shown what he meant. He walked away. He even started running his mouth. I absolutely answered his snide remarks with my own, and asked who was in charge. He grinned, told me the persons name who was in charge and proudly stated his name. I called, and of course, who answers? Rick. He started the conversation with are you that jerk who just left? Yup, thats me, heres my name and number. Come to find out, theres two stores in Albuquerque. The other store has heard of this guys attitude and apparently, this isnt the first time theyve heard of him and how he treats people. He is a cancer to this store, as long as he is employed there, I will NEVER shop there, nor will I recommend anyone visit.

So I broke a belt on my eureka vac I called the store to see if they had one in stock the guy I spoke with made me feel like I was the most stuped person in the world just because I did not know the model # of my vac he did not even try to help me finde the model number. He was so rude and totally sarcastic and when he did finley help me out he sead I do have your parts come on in. so I sead Ill be right there he says ok but we are closed now and hang up. I will never support this place or will I refer any one to shop there.

Purchased used vacuum with 90 warranty for $ 70 main hose broke at 120 days hose was rotten they refused to replace hose because it was out of warranty. Save your money buy a new one for same price and get a 1 year warranty. Will not do business with bobs again.
