They worked with us to get us moved in quickly when we needed to get out of our previous apartment. All of the staff is very friendly and also responsive. I have been able to get any problems fixed quickly and efficiently and there havent been many of them. I would absolutely recommend them, just be sure to check your spam filter after applying, my email service sent the approval there but they worked with me to get things set right. Great management company overall!

My family and I lived in two different apartments managed by Maddox over a period of 2.5 years. In that time we had an absolutely excellent experience with the apartments and the management company. The apartments were well maintained, clean, and free from problems. The management company was incredibly responsive to maintenance requests, understanding when we needed to end a lease early (I was contracted in another state), and always incredibly friendly when communicating. I have been renting for the majority of my life and i have never had such a positive experience with a management company. If I could give Maddox 10 stars I would. Very highly recommend checking out their properties if you are searching for a place to live!

The home I was renting was trash and moved out after 2 months of never ending problems. The carpet was still wet the day i was to move in. It took another week after my move in date because of all the problems. 2 full trash cans 1 was broken. The garage was full of broken furniture. The house had furniture. Torn window screens. Dirt crusted floors. Brown water.....I was pregnant and couldnt even use my water.

This place is the worst property management company I have ever come across. Both people working there (mother and son) are extremely rude and unprofessional.1. I called to have the fridge in my apartment replaced after it broke and they did not want to replace it until after a whole month later.2. Every time I called, they would talk to me very condescendingly and rude.3. Another time, the landlord at Maddox tried to charge the whole apartment complex for damage ONE tenant did to the property by having a bonfire at the backyard and then abandoned the place. He literally tried to charged us all and put notices on all of our doors warning us we all had one strike.4. THESE ARE TERRIBLE PEOPLE; I literally moved out due to how rude and disrespectful these people are.5. They told me my girlfriend had to apply to live with me as well, as so she did, they never responded to her application submission even though she paid for it. When we called them to check what was happening, they treated us AGAIN disrespectfully and like we were DUMB people. They never processed her application even though she paid and we did everything on our end after many calls we decided to quit trying to make them do their job.6. The worst, however, and the reason I moved out was when the same landlord at Maddox tried to make me clean after the neighbor up stairs mess that they had left in the front parking lot. The guys up stairs had left an old couch at the front and the landlord wanted ME!! to get rid of it. I told him it was the peoples living up stairs and he said: THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM, IT IS CLOSER TO YOUR FRONT DOOR he threatened with charging me for not cleaning my neighbors trash even after I told him it was not mine but theirs and that he could talk to them. I was very close to suing them since I had enough evidence to file a lawsuit them for their unjust treatment to renters but I decided to move out. I wrote a whole letter explaining to them that due to their disrespect, unprofessional and unethical business practices I would be moving out.

My roommate and I moved here from out of state and this business was very unprofessional and rude. No thanks to them we found our own home. Word of advice don’t waste your application fee on this company.

Moved from out of state & not only were they attentive with my multiple phone calls and questions, they expedited the lease to me for review & even met with us after hours to sign. I have known the Maddoxs for many years. They have done an amazing job managing my rental property in Albuquerque. When things were in need of repair they always let me know and found quality people to do the repairs. They found great tenants and made sure that all of the financials were in order. Also, theyre great people and a real pleasure to deal with. Damon, Barb and Liska are extremely professional and I would recommend them without hesitation for both landlords and tenants.

People in this place are very RUDE. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!! The owners treat people condescendingly by belittling them and treating them with arrogance.

We were looking for a property to rent. We were assured we were the first in-line to view property. We expressed that we had been looking for awhile and we wanted the soonest available appointment. Andre Norris said we were the firs tones to call and we were the first in- line. He wasnt even sure if they had the keys it was so new. They scheduled the appointment the following morning. Meanwhile Andre with out letting us know they showed the property and had applications submitted. That put us third in-line. The house was rented out from under us. No responsibility was taken. Horrible customer service. Dishonest.

Honestly, I’m lucky to know the owner of the property. I’ve been living at this home for about 3 years and the owners son recommended we transfer to Maddox for the property management. I was hesitant, but compliant. Half a year later and they’re still getting everything wrong. I requested maintenance for my cooler, not only do I have to call them Thursday again to stir up some reaction, I received a lonely text for the number of the plumbing company. So I proceeded to call and handle it myself. I even got the owner involved. A week later and I get a notice on my door stating that they called the same exact plumbing company and scheduled a second appt for them. I’m pretty sure they’re lost in their own world over there at their building. Again, I’m lucky to know the property owner, or else I probably would have been screwed. I haven’t been charged utilities the past 3 months either, and I’ve got that nasty little feeling they’re going to act like it’s my fault and back charge me (don’t worry, I’ll come edit this and update when we find out.... stay tuned)

Im saddened to place 1 star. My heater fan went out and expected to be 25 degrees tonight, the only resolution was we will fix it tomorrow from A1 Plumbing and have a nice day. This is insulting as I have had a door issue on BOTH back and front doors and cannot get into my house unlocked but have to use a butter knife to shimmy the door knob lock to release for two weeks!!Now, the heating is out. I pay far too much in rent to have this many problems with no resolution.

Amazing company. They work on all issues the very day you call them! My father died back in Arkansas and they released my rental agreement. No company does that. They are a family business and they helped me with letting me get back to my 75 year old Mom who is still grieving for my father. Thank you so very much. Awesome company!!!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!I rented out a unit that smelled as if someone had died in there!!Turns out they had leaking pipes underneath with rotting wooded floors!Not only was the smell disgusting but this cant be good for your health?Not only did they take a really long time to send someone to take a look but since they had to invest money to replace the pipes, they said it would take a while to be fixed... I asked for my deposit back, WHICH THEY WANTED TO KEEP for breaking my contract.This place should be investigated.

I enjoy being a tenant here for Maddox Company. My family loves how my apartment is all nice and private in the back and I have no problem getting things done around here when I put in a work order theyre out here in a convenient time for me.

I called their office and spoke with a very pleasent receptionist. The following day I was able to go onto their website, place down a deposit on a great apartment in a great area. The process was super easy and done within an hour. Damian was also super pleasant and easy to work with.

I have been with maddox management for over a year now and I will continue to be a customer of theirs as long as I choose to rent. Maddox treats you like a part of the family, not just another tenant thats supposed to have a rent check in their office on the first of every month. Everyone in that office is very pleasant to deal with, including the owner Damon Maddox. They are very understanding when hard times find you and put you in a bind, and are always willing to meet you half way when you need a little extra help. Maddox is prompt when addressing any issues concerning your rental. I myself can say from experience that any time I have submitted a work order for any reason, Maddox has had a professional out here the very next day to address it. Bottom line I would recommend Maddox to anyone that was looking to rent a property, and I will continue to give Maddox my business for as long as I choose to rent. Loved the house we lived in. Repairs were generally taken care of quickly. Generally nice people to work with. Yes, I did sometimes get the feeling that I was maybe boring them with my questions or requests, but I think maybe theyre just a little weird, because most of the time they were very nice. We were sad to leave, but needed a smaller and less expensive place. I heard a lot of bad things about people getting (or not getting) their deposit money back, so Ill just say that I got a little over $700 back from a $1,200 deposit. I will add also that we didnt clean the whole house spotless when we left or have a carpet cleaner come out, we told them to take the money for the cleaners out of our deposit. I would definitely rent with them again, they just didnt have anything available with the specifications we were looking for when we wanted to move.

If I could give this management company 0 stars, I would.Many of their properties are filthy and the owners business practices are shady. I caught them in numerous lies or perhaps they are discriminatory (I cant verify that but I most certainly felt discriminated against) I am also considering my application fee stolen as they changed the price on the property I applied for AFTER I applied for said apartment and they are not willingness to issue a refund.I would not recommend this property management company to anyone. Ever. In fact, I have already told everyone I know to never work with these people. So if I dont know you personally consider this a warning!

Honestly the best landlord/tenant situation I have ever been involved with. When I need anything it is taken care of and other than that i am not unnecessarily bothered and thats something i really appreciate.

They rent out apartments that are dirty, in bad conditions, they take FOREVER with ESSENTIAL repairs such as Furnace, Swamp Coolers or security issues.Their ONLY interest is that you rent from them regardless of how bad their apartments are.STAY AWAY!!!!!

Im disabled and 2 of the rental agencies in town work on 1st in the office first served apparently. I thought is was just AMMRE but its this one too. This is apparently one of them as well. I left a clear message that I wanted the property, had waited for one in that community and spent the rest of the day doing the application only to be at the end to put in the application fee. At that point I called again because the listing was down.. IMO, the very 1st thing that they should do if FIRE that nasty receptionist. I didnt do anything to provoke her and she was a witch! On my 1st call the receptionist was extremely rude and nasty! She said, She dont deal with that Zillow thing, what do I want? I said Id like to leave a message or speak to the property mgr. She transferred me where I left him a message that I wanted the property, was ready to fill out an application and deposit today. I spent the next 3 hours getting my application done when the listing disappeared. I called and the same receptionist said I was too late, it rented. I asked how is that possible? That made her rude again, she said a person showed up and rented it at 11 am. I said, so the application process is not verified b4 renting. She repeated slowly, It Is Already Rented. A great start would be to F I R E her!

I have been renting from Maddox Management for 4 months, and so far it has been very unpleasant.It started at their office when I signed the lease. They seemed put out that I wanted them to go through the lease with me.It takes multiple calls to get repairs taken care of. Barbara Maddox admitted to copying and pasting an e-mail response to my request to get the heat turned on and told me she uses a sweater and an extra blanket. I eventually had to threaten to take them to court to get my heat turned on.I would not recommend this company.

I am not very happy how they have dealt with harassment at my complex especially since I have a long lease. Safety is not of concern. I was told that I need to file a police report if I wanted their help. I have been needing help regarding repairs but its been difficult to get a hold of that person. I have rented from other management companies like Berger Briggs whom I would suggest since I never had these types of issues.

WORST reality company ever! They can and will kick you out without notice. They will take your money with no explanation on what it is for. Most of the staff disrespects and be littles tenants. Most unprofessional, immoral, and arogant people I have ever rented from.We moved into a house in November of 2014. The house was filthy when we moved in. The carpets were stained and covered in paint. The toilets were so stained and dirty bleach wouldnt even work. The blinds were dusty and broken. The dishwasher had mold in it. The celling was damaged. We were in a really rough spot and our roommate knew the owners of maddox so we had no other choice. We signed a 1 year lease.In Feb we were told by Maddox that they were allowing the owner to sell the home and we would need to move out at some point. In the middle of March (March 15th to be exact) we went to see what options were available to us. Because we did have a 1 year lease contract. we were told we had no options and Lisca Maddox and Damon Maddox told us that they mailed us a 30 day notice on Feb 25 and we were to be out by the 1st of April ( we NEVER recieved said letter). Not only were we blind sided by this with 2 weeks to move out I was at the time 7 months PREGNANT!!!!After move out was said and done we recieved a check for the remainder of our depoist. Maddox charged us for things that were broken, damaged, and dirty when we moved in. Barbra Maddox is disrespectful and power/money hungry . We went to talk with her about $200 that was not accounted in the invoices we were given. She disrespected us by yelling and pointing in our faces. She was claiming that they replaced all these things before we moved in which was not true. We have pictures to prove it and yet she still was extremely disrespectful and arogant. I would NOT reccomend this company to my WORST enemy. They are horrible and unreliable. Still I have no idea what the $200 was spent on but Maddox kept it without any explanation.
