My family has been going to Small Steps for several years and we highly recommend them--in the very least--for families with kids with trauma, who are or were in foster system, and who have special needs. We have worked with several therapists throughout the years who have all been phenomenal. They are professional, extremely qualified and provide multidisciplinary support when needed, working with school and other therapists to support kids and their families. My partner and I are on the frontlines and during the pandemic they have increased their support to families when so many other resources are being limited. We would not have survived this last year without our team of therapists at Small Steps and we are ever grateful for their compassionate, family centered care.

I have worked with two separate clinicians at Small Steps, both have been fully committed to helping me work through PPD. Having a counselor who works with all facets of family life has been immensely helpful. Their admin staff has always been responsive and knowledgeable in assisting with insurance issues and scheduling. They also did a wonderful job transitioning to online-only telehealth during the pandemic. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Small steps it did take a while to get my son a therapist form them but the one we got has been a huge help to my family and I , Im glad we got her . She is extremely helpful and respectful of my time which is really important to me becuase i very busy mama but I do highly recommend them. I hope others get to get experience what we have with them , they are amazing!

No one EVER picks up the phone!!! I have called almost daily and even at different time, I even emailed (no response). My kids have been on the waiting list for months maybe even a year!! I dont know cause no one ever picks up the phone!! Not cool at all! We are concerned parents or guardians that need help with our children, the least you could do is answer the phone of your business and keep those on the wait list posted or shut the business down if you cant handle running it!!!It takes having to write a review to get a response from someone?! If there are that high call volumes, hire a call operator to assist your busy practice and help keep parents informed on many reasons people call a medical practice; scheduling appointments, updating contact information asking questions about the practice or want to know if you take their insurance. All suggestions that would improve reviews such as this one. What if it was your child suffering with issues you need help with and you couldnt get any straight answers? Speaking on behalf of all parents that have gone through the same thing when calling your office.

It can be very difficult, and even frustrating, to find a good trustworthy person for children to speak to when it comes to recovery. This Small Steps program has been the greatest blessing for our family. Mrs. Kate is a fantastic lady and I thank her every day for showing our kids the proper tools they need to handle what life has already thrown at them as well as what it will. On top of helping the kids, she also helped us (parents) understand the feelings and thoughts our children were having and how to continue their progression at home. The progression is undoubtedly apparent and I will highly recommend Small Steps, Kate in particular, for any family with struggling kids. They are our future and this place will help get them there safely.

We have been working with Alex at Small Steps for a bit over a year. She is patient, kind and professional. When we need to reschedule appointments she works with us and we feel like the work weve done with Alex has been beneficial for both our 6 yo daughter and us as parents.

Two stars because the therapist did her job for the most part but when the days that my daughter was scheduled for Counsling didnt work out with my schedule I tried getting them switched to a different time and instead of working with me and my busy schedule (nursing student, single mom, part time job) she completely took me off the schedule without notice she did not consider my daughters feelings and instead of cutting kids off who are emotionally vulnerable during sessions and who naturally get attached its a very rude and unprofessional way to treat kids and their families.
