At first, I was a little weary with several poor reviews. The first week wasnt a great first impression either since the doors were locked and no one was there to receive me. I waited about 20 minutes before someone met with me despite being on time.First couple of weeks were iffy, too. My appointments kept getting cancelled and rescheduled (for the same time, but it was still a little frustrating not knowing if I was going to have an appointment or not).Three weeks in, I was so close to calling it quits. I came in for a psychological evaluation, and I wasnt sure if I was going to get what I wanted. Im glad I stuck with it, though. It ended up being pretty enlightening and re-framed a lot of my thinking about mental health.I worked with Robert, and he spent several weeks trying to suss out what I wanted before going into a thorough psychological evaluation. After four or five weeks of testing, we came out with a result we were satisfied with.Thats not to say that this whole process was purely clinical. Ive struggled with OCD for a long time, and Robert suggested that OCPD might be more prominent and a more accurate diagnosis. This is something that Ive accepted as a part of my identity, so his method of helping me develop an understanding of how we take elements from various disorders instead of directly challenging this aspect of myself that I had come to terms with, was appreciated.I cant speak for the others who work here, but Roberts work, at the very least, was a good fit for me. Truly a very enlightening moment that Ill use going forward in my life.

Staff is thoughtless, frightened, unethical. Albuquerque Guidance Center is a harmful abscess on the system. If you can avoid employing this facility, do it! Staff will protect themselves at all costs, regardless of the harm it causes your family and your children.I do not write this flippantly. I maintain 100% physical custody. This facility attempted and attempts to jeopardize our well-being to safeguard their business/reputation.My representation refers to this facility as the Three-ring Circus.

The staff has always been very helpful and informative. The staff and my own personal thereapist Nancy Henderson have provided a very exceptional professional view of not only therapeutic visits between my granddaughter and I but also in working closely with my therapist and our needs being met it has also opened up communication barriers that were hindering actions from leading to proper recommendations being submitted to the courts in order to assure proper rights and concerns were addressed this place has assisted in bringing to light so much more than advocacy for my granddaughter and I very professional team I would highly recommend Albuquerque Guidance Center to anyone in need of these services .

This place is great! They helped me reunite with my son who was wrongfully alienated from me by the ones who left the negative review below this one.To avoid any false accusations or rumors, with some thorough research youll find this establishment is top recommended by the state. ☺ was reccommended through court and did wonders for my son and I connecting like we should have been doing all along.I can not see them leaving any child with a crazy person, but I think sometimes people can accuse others of what they are..HIGHLY recommend and will be coming here first if needed or possible.Everyone here is awesome! ☺

KEEP RECORDS. Communicate via email.Visitation schedule changed daily. Zero stability for my child. Half the visits took place during my child’s school hours. Manager stated that my child would have to miss school to accommodate their limited availability/court order.Less than 24hrs notice. On one occasion I reached out and received 30 min notice. On another occasion, I initiated contact because non-custodial parent had already been notified days prior.Unorganized; I received correspondence intended for another family.Locked door and unanswered phone resulting in unsafe drop-offs. I was told it was a “fluke.” “Covid-Covid-Covid-Covid-Covid.” I was told the owner had ordered the lock-down.Occasions when child was unsupervised with non-custodial parent. Monitor was “late” according to staff. Manger stated she would check the cameras. This was followed by a shouted request to pull the footage mid-phone conversation. I deemed her inability to request the footage after our conversation unprofessional and quite frankly an intimidation tactic. My mother was made to feel uncomfortable when non-custodial parent approached her car and inserted himself inside to secure our child without asking on two occasions. Monitor was only aware of one occasion. As a result, my flustered and elderly mother came home and rushed back to the facility to pick up an item she already had.I’d asked to extend visits to 2hrs to accommodate scheduling issues. Manager said such violates the court order and is not allowed. Soon enough, however, monitor made an offer to supervise for 2hrs at non-custodial parents’ home. I received no explanation outside of, “It was an offer not a request.”Communications with the monitor and manager after presenting saved documentation were long, irregularly understanding, occasionally off topic/false and defensive; I was talked over. I was told, “You said this, you said that… you are the only person who says this is not working.”Monitor stated neither non-custodial parent nor I had offered flexibility. I disagreed stating that every visit took place during my work hours, this took a great deal of scheduling and workplace confidentiality. I woke my child from school naps, spoke with her teachers/director, rescheduled her video calls, enlisted the help of my mother, completed work tasks in-between drop-offs and pickups.I requested another monitor, manager stated that she may take over. She told me she would reach out regarding availability. I never heard from her again.Non-custodial parent stated that the facility had informed him that I “filed complaints… asked for another monitor… requested another facility,” and this was why he was unable to see his child. He stated that the facility was “on his side.” Availability offered during my last correspondence with the manger was never addressed.I presented all documentation for review in court and requested an alternate facility be assigned.Shame on you. The custodial situation is hard enough as it is.

After addressing my concerns regarding unsafe practices, unsupervised time, and daily (less than 24hr) scheduling changes, the facility did not provide testimony or appear at the hearing.

This place is very very unprofessional. Who the heck leaves a child unattended while being on court ordered supervised visitations. I bet this happens on a regular basis with other parents as well. It takes a split second for anything to happen to that child especially how crazy mad this world has been lately.
