One of the most unprofessional companies we had the misfortune to have to deal with - the 1st project manger (Louis) was fired so we were assigned Dylan, who was pleasant to deal with and strung us along with all kinds of requests like lead and asbestos testing, a quote needed for abetement etc. There was no asbestos, the lead was negligible so Paul Davis agreed to do the demolition and rebuild but at a price FOUR times higher than the insurance adjuster had estimated. When our insurance asked for a second bid from a plaster sub-contractor they apparently decided that they would not be able to warranty the work and would “bow out” - only nobody informed us or the insurance about the decision until I called because another 3 weeks had passed without any communication. They told us it was a roof issue - which the adjuster, a roofer and another company we hired strongly denied. If you value money, your sanity and time - stay away!

I was left out in the cold on an interior repair of my daughters house, the job had started back in early June but was put on hold until the roof could be repaired. After a month of on hold until roof could be replace, called to reschedule and this company dropped my case. Where a rep from the company said they could and would not take any more new cases. This was a pending job...was given instructions to seek a competitive company for services....bad business.....stay away.... Alfredo Apodaca

Wish I could leave 0 stars! Hired them in 2016 for a major Reno/restoration after our house flooded. Terry (the owner) was very difficult to deal with from the beginning and our home felt like a low priority for the company despite the almost $100k contract we signed with them and the fact that we lived in a hotel for over 4 months during the job. He would refer us to places to pick out cabinets, tile and carpet, etc. but the rest was up to us including taking our own measurements. We wound up doing all of the research and shopping and then would pay him to simply make the purchase so he could “get his profit.” The quality of the work was poor and some things already need to be repaired. For example, we picked out floor tile for our master bathroom and laundry room. Paul Davis did the tile in the bathroom and we wound up doing the same tile ourselves, because we were tired of paying Paul Davis, in the laundry room (first time ever doing tile ourselves.) Now 2.5 years later the entire master bathroom floor has broken apart and needs to be completely redone. The grout come out after about a year and every single piece of floor tile can be removed by hand. The laundry room is fine. Over $1,000 sunk. Don’t waste your time or money with this company.

The team came in a got right to work and didn’t stop until the fans and dehumidifiers were set and the drying started! Plus they arrived before the other company even called me back! Thanks guys!

Every tile on the backsplash was scored and broken with a hammer to fit, rather than cut. 3/4 of my kitchen is now covered with broken tile stuck to the wall. The butcher block counters were caulked together and sealed against the wall with mortor rather than a waterproof latex based sealer ( Im now in the process of chipping away the mortor since it has hardened and cracked.) The paint was and still is incorrect, plus only parts of the wall were cover3d twice. The vents for the waterheater are randomly drilled holes in the drywall closet it now resides in, apparantly this was considered ventilation since a metal vent was half-heartedly screwed into the wall cover it. Two days after moving back in, the vent fell off.... The project manager had to be told repeatedly what to purchase for items in the house, so often that we lost two orders at Lowes and had to reorder, adding another 4 weeks to the project. None of the excess materials were left in the garage as we were told. After spending almost 6 months out of our home while dealing with illness related to my deployment in the Army which still plague me today, I was able to send off an email to the CEO with pictures and emails as proof to the poor job done. The response was I stand by my peoples work, you should have brought this up earlier. I am currently looking into legal help with this both with civilian lawyers and any resources I can be pointed to with the Department of Veterans Affairs since Im also a 100% disabled combat veteran.

Paul Davis was all about getting my business. They were Johnny on the Spot the first few days and got my house dried out. Then it took 3 weeks to get my floor done. By then they have you on the hook because you cannot just stop and go to someone else. You are at the mercy of Paul Davis and they took their sweet time getting the work done. Terry is a con man and should not be trusted. I would never refer Paul Davis to anyone.

If you have an insurance claim, absolutely use Paul Davis. Our experience with our contractor, James Retter, has been a ray of sunshine in the several awful experiences weve been through. Hes been responsive and a pleasure to work with. When our house got broken into, he didnt have to drive out to us to stay with us until the house was secured. But he did. Top notch customer care.

Donna is amazing and fast! Well to be honest the company as a whole is very professional and provide quality work. They also provide CE credits for insurance agents, although this was my first time taking it, I was especially surprised with how involved and hands on the class was. The Water Mitigation Team have provided excellent service. The Project Manager Israel Jaramillo has been exceptional - very thorough, careful - he has concern for doing a really great job. We had the very best experience with the Paul Davis Restoration team. Their claim manager worked with us to get the project completed in an orderly fashion and put the right workers in place to do all facets of a 15 thousand dollar claim for interior damage to our home. Project was completed in a timely fashion and the work was excellent. Our first experience with this type of insurance claim but the Paul Davis workforce got us through with flying colors. Would highly recommend this company and would use them again with no reservations. Customer service level was old school. We felt our project was high priority with them like it was with us. I had Paul Davis come out to help mitigate a water leak I had in the house. They were very fast in coming out but it showed in the work. They broke several items moving them and when they left we were left with no electricity. When I called and told them they sent out Greg who told me “they didn’t know how the house was before.” My house had electricity before they came out. Days went by they still didn’t care to address anything or to call an electrician. One day a different guy came out from their company to collect the fans and he fixed the issue within five minutes!!! He said they shouldn’t have plugged everything into outlets they should have used the spider box from the beginning! I then called to see what would happen with putting everything back together and multiple times I had no calls back and Greg told me they were “too busy for my job.” I appreciate the honesty but I don’t appreciate the fact it took numerous calls and that they don’t value their customers. Very disappointed.

Very informative continuing education course!

I cannot let 2019 close without doing a review on both Dustin and Todd and the great job they did on my townhouse rental. Dustin took care of a mold problem and kept me informed the whole time as to what was being done. I had never had any claims on my insurance and Dustin was helpful and very willing to answer the many questions I had regarding that. Todd did an excellent job on the reconstruction after a burst water pipe and always kept me updated on the progress of the repairs. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable and professional and a pleasure to work with.

This was the second water emergency incident at our home, one involving extensive flooding, the other a roof leak with ceiling and wall damage. In both cases, Paul Davis professionals responded with speed and care and consideration for our personal situation and needs. I had a really good experience with Paul Davis Restoration. The work was A-Plus, but the thing that impressed me the most was the PR with their customers. They make you feel like you matter, and they will do anything to impress you. The cleanup was the best! All in all, it was a good experience. I was behind one of this companies black vans in the Chickfila drive thru about 39 minutes ago. License plate NM AHLN47. As we go through the drive thru, one of this vans ladders gets stuck to a chickfila umbrella that a worker was underneath to stay cool. He gets out of his vehicle clearly irritated and tries to unhitch the ladder from the umbrella but the Chick-fil-A worker has to manually disassemble the umbrella and basically broke it to get his ladder undone. He gets to the front to pay, and literally gets out of his van, stops the line for over 5 minutes, to yell at this poor high school aged worker boy. And then another elderly woman worker. Poor, poor show of character, especially in a company vehicle.

Kristi and Donna are the best CE class administrators we have ever had. They come prepared, they are animated and fun, they use good teaching techniques and they bring snacks! As a former teacher, I have endured many hours of CE classes; in my humble opinion, Kristi and Donna are way better than most CE classes I had as a teacher!

I had two restoration jobs completed by Paul Davis: (1) Repair ceiling after the roof leaked; (2) widen bathroom door for easier access. In both instances, the work was very complete, professional, and quickly completed. Their staff was pleasant, hard working, and knowledgeable. We got bids from several firms, and Paul Davis bid was the most professional and reasonable.The abatement work was done promptly, and effectively by courteous and skilled workers, who answered any questions we had about the process. He was very professional & went beyond his job in my opinion by first inquiring about what my concerns were about the tile & then explaining what he was going to do do to clean the tile. When he was done he asked me to check & see if the cleaning met my approval. He was also very kind to explain to me how to keep my tile clean & how to seal the grout. First time I needed an important work for my house and I found out that Paul Davis Restoration is very professional. The work was done while I was out of the Country and I was in touch with the person responsible to take care of the work. He did a great job to inform me and send me pictures when the work was finished. I really like this company, they gave me the opportunity to enjoy my vacation while they were working in my house.

The initial bid for the demolition was done quickly and that they could begin the following week. When I inquired if construction would begin after demo, the PD estimator said I dont know, Ill get back to you He then told me it would be a month (!!) until construction could start. What a disastrous way to start. A month later, the job began...and then stalled...and then resumed...and then stalled. You really have to get after them to move forward. One thing Paul Davis does quickly is collecting money.Overall, the job was completed to my satisfaction. It took almost 4 months to repair and rebuild a leaky steam room. (A friend of mine in Houston had her whole house redone in 5 months). Every employee contracted by Paul Davis was kind and competent. One employee of Paul Davis sometimes had a snarky/unprofessional edge

Thank you for offering such a service! When the rains would not stop and my back patio was filling up with water and seeping into my living and bedroom I was panicked! I Called Paul and less than 30 minutes they arrived ready to suck up the water. It was nice not only getting rid of the water but the dirt, sticks (yes I opened my patio door) all the gritty yucky water. Isaac Cordova of Paul Davis set fans and checked on me daily until the walls were dry. It was interesting to watch, too, as I could see the meters indicating my drywalls were indeed drying. Yes the air movers (what they call them) were noisy but my home was dry and back to normal. Id be dealing with far worse had I not called Paul Davis. Thank you for your help, your knowledge and keeping calm when I was freaking out. It was also nice to not have to file a claim as they minimized damages immediately. And hey, thank you for the tips of putting plastic underneath my wood furniture so it wouldnt soak up water. You guys are great!

When they came out the screwing around was over Steve worked on the kitchen and done an excellent job on dry wall and texture . Paint. I recently took my CE class with Donna and Kristi. They are both fantastic women to work with and they made the class very fun and enjoyable!

We had a flood in our house and Paul Davis remodeled it. They are nice and sometimes professional, but we took exception to their service. They steer you to their preferred vendors that show you the lowest quality product - in our case it was cabinets and flooring. They are so busy they have little time to offer customer service and you wait and wait for when they have time to work on your home making it more expensive because your insurance is paying for a hotel. I found out this is the practice of contractors in Albuquerque in general so its likely the culture, but still is not right.

An amazing job was done in rebuilding our kitchen island after having water damage. Work was done quickly, plus Albert is amazing at what he does.Terry and everyone else we dealt with were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely use Paul Davis Restoration again if the need arises.

Never in my life have I experienced a more caring and professional group of people. When disaster strikes, they automatically spring into action. Paul Davis is like a group of super heroes! I called thinking thinking they had not followed up after coming to my house. When they showed up the next day to make it right in my mind, I realized I confused them with another company (I had three I had come to my house who failed to provide estimates and left me hanging). Turns out it was the best mistake Ive made (I realized as soon as I saw the shirt and met the guy that no one from his company had actually been to my house!) and it proved their customer service right away. They showed up that day, provided me with two options, sent a written estimate within three days. When I called to schedule the work, they scheduled it within a week. They had to cancel due to too many people being out with the flu, but they rescheduled within a couple days and showed up when promised next time. Job was done quickly and efficiently, with Mike asking if I had any questions at the various points before starting on the next portion. VERY pleased. THANK YOU!

I have used Paul Davis multiple times on multiple houses because they are approved through my insurance and because they are the best in my book too! They are prompt and professional. They return calls and get back to you with answers during crisis times when your roof is leaking and you have a mess to deal with. Beware of this company. We recently had a flood in our spare bedroom. USAA contracted with them for the construction of the floor and walls. Dylan Sheriff came out too early to give us a bid (way too low so obviously did not take the time to understand). I felt he was a bit arrogant and unfriendly. When the mitigation wss finished, I called Dylan and he said he needed a certificate saying mitigation was complete (understandable). To save going back and forth, I suggested that he call the other company representative directly. His words: I am not compensated for coordinating activities between that company and mine. In other words, not my job man. Really? Probably the most unprofessional response I have ever received. When I called to complain, his supposed boss said Perhaps we are not a match for your job. Really? Needless to say after being fired as a customer, I simply had Steamatic finish the job. Save yourself the aggravation, hire Steamatic for restoration and construction and NOT Paul Davis.
