I went to budget transmissions today and what a great experience. I was checked in by Kathy who was friendly and professional. I went in to get my transmission fluid as a result of a check engine light coming on. I had also spoken to Bob earlier in the week as well as Kathy. He set an appointment for 10 and said it would take about an hour to get the transmission fluid changed. I got there on time and they delivered. My vehicle is ready by 11:00 and they answered all of my questions with knowledge. I highly recommend this location and will return again what I need their service. Keep up the great work.

On a trip to AZ our vehicle had transmission trouble as we travelled through Albuquerque from Colorado. After being quoted almost 3x the amount through the Subaru dealership for the same work, I called these guys and they were the best price in town. Adam was extremely knowledgeable and even put some of my transmission fluid aside for me to inspect it closer. The owner was very nice, and gave excellent advice if I have any further issues with my car. On top of that, I dropped my car off at 8:30am and it was done by 10:30am. No way I would have received such fast service anywhere else

If you want to get your car in less then three months then take it to them dont expect them to call you about problems that they shouldnt even be looking for then take it to them and the price they charged was way more than what they had quoted in the first place and on top of it they wanted my son to buy a battery because they didnt disconnect the battery. The receptionist Lacks communication skills she is hateful and rude the owner tells you is their excuse is covod and they understand its an inconvenience for you. They should be up front with you and let you know exactly how much and about when you will get you car. I will never recommend anybody anyone to take their car here all you keep on getting is next week next week and next week turns into almost 7 days short of three months very disappointed with this place it was highly recommended and even the person that recommended it regrets it

The team at Budget welcomed me as family and went above and beyond to support the needs of this out of town tourist in need. Everyone was super busy and I was thankful they could work in the special needs to get our big red truck back on a cross country highway journey. Thank you one and all. :-)

Buyer Beware! READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO HERE! I took my grandson’s used car in for repair in April 2020. The repair included new motor mounts, and the repair was warrantied. A little over a year later, the motor practically fell out of the car! I called Bob, and he assured me that the work was under warranty, so the car was towed to Bob’s garage where it sat for over a week. I had to initiate a call to the shop only for Bob to ask me I had full insurance coverage on the car. He said the oil pan showed damage and that most likely the motor mounts failed when the oil pan was damaged. Therefore, his warranty was VOID. Bob suggested I file an insurance claim but didn’t have any response about what work the car needed or what it would cost . . . nothing! Insurance fraud??? At that point, I told Bob I wanted another shop to look at the car. The new shop said the scrape on the oil pan was common. It was installation of the motor mounts that was faulty. I paid the new shop $1300 for the work they did. Heres the kicker: I paid Bob’s Budget Transmissions $800 last year, and I thought it was a deal. To boot – when I told Bob I wanted a second opinion, his response was to charge me $85 for the car sitting in his lot while he did nothing!! DON’T GO HERE! PAY THE RIGHT PRICE THE FIRST TIME!

While I appreciate their help in diagnosing a transmission problem, they tried to overcharge my company for a quote to replace the transmission. The staff however was very friendly and helpful and made sure I had a ride home.

I had a bad experience over the telephone with a lady at this business. She seemed like she did not have time for my questions or the patience to listen to me. I was attempting to assist my mother with her vehicle as she is very old and not good at these kinds of things. I do not live in the city so I have to do this over the phone and not in person. But after being treated as if myself or my mother did not matter to this lady and being treated so badly over the phone I will not be having my mother take her car to this establishment. If people do not enjoy their job I do not know why they are working?* UPDATE *Hello Bob. What help would you like me to give you? The issue is with your employee being unprofessional and rude to your customers. That is not something that I can help with. If I were in your position as a professional business owner I would work with this person so she will learn how to be nice and courteous with customers. Being rude and disrespectful will only chase away business.

I was traveling thru Albuquerque from Kansas City on my way to Sedona for vacation. About 40miles west of Albuquerque my transmission completely went out on me—in the middle of the desert. I couldn’t find anybody in town to help me. I have my entire family including my 82 year old mother in law with me. We were in a real pinch. I came across Budget Transmission Masters on Google and after reading the reviews I thought for sure this would be the guy to help me. And boy was I right. Bob was very helpful from the start, very kind and understood my situation and the predicament my family and I were in. Even though Bob had a full garage and plenty of work, he dropped everything to help a desperate traveler. Within a few days, Bob has pulled several strings and had a transmission delivered to his shop for my truck. The very next day after receiving transmission, Bob’s team had it installed—had my truck running and better than ever. I cannot recommend Bob enough, I’m just sorry that I live so far away from Bob’s shop that frankly, I never want to take my truck to another mechanic again.

Great work and long lasting reputation, even worked with me when I brought in a transmission for install and QC everything.As a result of their success and qualified labor shortage, theyre busy and it took a while to get the vehicle back therefore Ill give them 4 stars.

Im giving them 4 not five stars. Not cause there not great but because they fail to find my problem and Ford fixed it. It was the transmission mount I just thought they could have found that out but. But there customer service it too notch great people make you feel at home and good transmission. I personally got a transmission from them.

They were fast efficient and a great price! Only a few places would work on my BMW and this place by far gave me the best price! I was in a 8:30 and out by 10 am!! I am so used to having bad service in places in Colorado, its so great to be home where people are nice again and treat people to a decent price and a job done right!!

Went in during the winter, and within 5 mins they gave me a 4K transmission estimate. They didn’t even walk outside to my car. Found out the cold weather was the problem.Point is:They just want money. If your transmission is fine they will either break it or just make you believe you need to replace it.

After the rebuilt from the dealership in Santa Fe failed (one month after the year warranty), Firestone sent us here. We have a used transmission with a 2 year warranty. So far its been great!

Not impressed. Bob is very aggressive and they put a pretty nasty scratch on the front of my durango.

I will not now or in the future, recommend this place. Quoted one price ended up $300+ more. Had vehicle from April to June. With every excuse in the book. Lost hood ornament. I did not have a good experience.

I had them replace my clutch about a month ago and so far no problems whatsoever. Shifts like new and they did a outstanding job. Bob the owner and all the staff were very professional, customer 1st mentality, and knowledgeable. They got it done in the time they said it would be done. The quote they gave me was right on not a penny more. It was right in par with just about every other transmission shop I called before taking it to Bob and his awesome team. Ending up at Budget Transmission Masters while we were driving from Phoenix to Colorado Springs was a blessing. Half way on our trip I started leaking transmission fluid. I spent the whole morning looking for a place who can check it out. Most were too busy to make an emergency inspection until I found BTM. BTM agreed to squeeze us in and take a look. In no time they had our van on the lift checking what was causing the leak. Sorted out the problem and had us back on the road feeling a lot better. The problem was not a major issue which BTM easily resolved. The big deal with BTM was that they understood my emergency, was truly concerned with the safety of my family and to top it all off, was sincere enough that they didn’t charge me anything. The professionals at BTM are also kind samaritans. Thank you.

They were very busy, but since we were passing through ABQ and needed a transmission inspection, Bob and Julio helped us immediately. Their honesty and integrity was apparent in their thorough inspection and explanation of actions and at the end, there was no charge because there wasnt anything wrong with the transmission. I went in not knowing what was going on with my car, after already going to 4 places searching for answers. Bob and Darren were so helpful I could have cried. EDIT: So they got back to me moments after posting, and they were able to fix it and wasnt broke fortunately. Changed my rating------- They did fine for what I brought the truck in for. I have a mystery noise that Ive been trying to track down and having various parts of the truck looked over. They did their best to find it and Im fine that they couldnt solve it. I was reassured there was nothing wrong with the transmission or anything connected to it. My problem was after I left. They had taken off the stereo face and tossed it under my seat in the dust. Now I cant get it to reconnect to the stereo. There is no way I can prove they broke my stereo. We rarely used that feature so it may have stuck, since there are scratches on the side of the face like it was pried off. Im just really ticked about it. If you find that with your vehicle, make sure they have reattached and show its still working before you drive off.

I went in for my yearly transmission check up. They had taken care of me very well. The wait was supposed to be an hour but it was less. I cant be more thankful for the staff services here, i am truly upset with my self! that i didnt go to them in the first place! My transmission was done by an inexperienced guy off the street, he did not do the job right! then we had took it into pepboys on montano, They replaced the transmission pan, bolts and what not, when i got my car back it was slipping worse, redlining and just driving horrible! Budget had told my i was 4.5 quarts short of transmission fluid! Like what the heck?!! an obvious task when doing anything to a transmission is make sure the fluid is filled up to where it needs to be. Even if budget werent the ones to fully service my car they still were honest, respectful and guarantees their services. I 100% recommend this place for any transmission work!!(:

Look no further for HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY service. I dont have any other place to compare Budget Transmission Masters too but they came highly recommended from a reputable repair shop and I boy am I glad I didnt look any further. Being a woman calling places like this can be bait for some places but never did Bob, Dennis or Cathy every make me feel I was being taken advantage of. Estimates I was given were on point & I received honest progress on the repair of my car. Budget Transmission was willing to tackle the clutch & transmission work on my 2004 MINI Cooper without hesitation, even after experiencing some issues with parts. Thank you guys for your work!!!

This review is a little spaced out from when I got my vehicle serviced. I took in and Pathfinder this past summer that needed a clutch replacement. The reviews helped me make my decision. I took in my own clutch kit, flywheel, and transmission mount. Three days and almost a thousand dollars later I went to get my vehicle.Then the not so good stuff I noticed. I left all the parts on the passenger seat but whoever tried to get them broke my exterior door handle, also they didnt install my transmission mount that was suggested by them I get and cost me nearly fifty dollars. I call the next day to ask about the transmission mount and my door handle. They denied the damage and ask I go back to have the mount installed. I didnt go back due to my schedule and I believe the job shouldve been done correctly the first time, also didnt want anymore damage done to my vehicle. I dont know if I will return as a customer. I know they let you take your own parts thats about the only pro I can focus on.

I replaced my clutch master cylinder but couldnt get the system to bleed 🤪🤪. Was quoted a very reasonable price to bleed. Took it to Budget and it turns out AutoZone had sold me a bad unit. Budget quoted me another very reasonable price to put in a new one, and did the job quickly. The employees are joyful and seem to really enjoy their work. I will recommend to all my friends and family.

They give me a great price on fixing my transmission. Buying the transmission from them and having them do work is the best way to go about fixing your car. Asked them to perform a transmission flush because my car wasnt operating properly. Came back for my car and they said they nor anyone else would perform this for me because of the mileage I had on my car with no previous flush. Well, I got someone else to do it and my car has been running perfectly. I wish this business would have done it because they were much less expensive.

Great service! Was originally quoted around $1200 for a clutch and dual mass flywheel job on my truck, but after these nice guys took a look at it, it only ended up being $400. Which was for the master cylinder and labor! Will be sure to go here again in the future! Will recommend to every one I know. Thanks again!

This is how it should be honest, hard-working, good people!! Bob and his staff are good people trying to help all they can. Ive never really seen a business give information and knowledge so freely and care about people more than selling you the transmission job.. I did have my 93 Cadillac DeVille transmission rebuilt here and they did an amazing job..

So I called around all over albuquerque and found that they had the best price and service available for transmission maintenance. They told me it would take about an hour to do the service, it did end up taking two and a half hours but they showed me what they were doing and kept me informed the whole time. When I left I decided to check the transmission fluid to make sure there was enough, unfortunately the dipstick was bone dry. I called them and took it over to them to fix the issue, they are extremely apologetic and rectified their mistake. That to me is an important part of being a business owner; I do not mind if mistakes are made as long as the owner and operators are honest and willing to make it right. I would definitely recommend them.

We needed the clutch repaired on our sons Hyundai because he was taking the car back to college in a few days. Budget called around and got us a really good price on the part and helped make sure the car was ready when our son needed to leave. You are treated like a person here and they listen to you. They do a quality job they are proud of, and you can leave knowing it was done right- which is refreshing!

The mechanics in this place are the most honest and down to Earth folks you will find in any shop out there.
