I have always hated going to the gym. As a plus size woman I always felt judged and unwanted. Im sure others can relate! I started coming to the Albemarle, NC Planet Fitness a few months ago and I love it! It truly is a βJudgment Freeβ place to work out. The best part about this location though is the amazing staff! It doesnβt matter what day or time I come, the people here are always so incredibly friendly and welcoming!! Thank you all for making us feel like we belong! A small bit of kindness really goes a long way.
I love this gym!! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They have everything you need to get in shape. Its a great place to go. I definitely recommend getting the black card so you can try the hydro bed!!

Iβm not a usual customer of PF, but coming to this particular location changed my mind. This place is quiet clean and has essentially what I need for a workout. I love that the place does embrace non-judgement for the individuals coming to this location. Iβm from Denver, Colorado and glad to see non-discrimination against others. The staff is so friendly and helpful with anything. I think I was welcomed every time. Hope to come back when I visit my mom nearby. Have to say this is one of the nicest and cleanest Iβve seen in North Carolina.
Today I signed up for a membership and the staff were really nice. I tanned and used the hydro massage chair for my first time and it was a nice experience. Be back tomorrow to use the other parts of the gym and tan.
The staff members are wonderful and it truly is a judgement free zone. I love that!

This is my favorite Planet fitness so far!! We move around a lot with my husbands work. Adams upbeat personality, clean, and not packed in this gym, as well as newer equipment. Highly recommend!!
I love working out at Planet Fitness, because this location seems to consistently keep equipment clean, and has very friendly staff. Adam is the most personably employee, and makes me look forward to working out. He always remembers my name, as well as many other customers names. I often see him go out of his way to make people feel welcome.

I am always greeted by name as I enter the building. It is extremely clean; I jut wish they would turn the volume up on the music, you can barely hear it, makes for a boring workout.
Just started going. Staff is friendly and awesome to talk to. They explained everything and answered all questions we had. I have no complaints.
Iβve had a membership here for a WHILE. I have a mask and wear it. I had it off for a minute in my own space, nobody near me and an employee walked by, said nothing. Another went out of his way to tell me I have to wear it at all times. Which is fine. Until I look around and see half of the people in there have it down below their mouths. Pretty unprofessional
Went on Nov 24th and my son and I had no issues. Next day manager informed me that I had to wear a mask while actively working out. When I stated that I had a letter from the VA Medical Center that showed that I had a valid medical exemption that I could not wear a mask when working out ,she refused to let me enter the gym. I am a black card member and was visiting from out of state. I have only had problem at one other PF and that was in Georgia and I didnt have the letter with me. This time I did have the letter with me. Even with my condition I respect others when I enter the doors and when not working out just to avoid unnecessary problems and to help do my part. However, when PF Albemarle has 3 to 5 members in building I feel pretty confident that my ability to maintain a safe distance outweighed risk to myself from my health condition. The manager seemed to be very rude in her manner and this was appalling. If I could have given no stars as an option, then I would have due to this issue.Dear Owner,Corporate is no help. But know you do have ability to accept those with medical exception to the mask mandate. I am now in Alabama and the PF here uses common sense and accepts medical exemption. And they also still understand that t those whom are exercising dont need to wear mask unless they are altitude training. Way to pass the buck owner and fail miserably. I have already seen member leaving your store and headed to Golds due to your standards being obtuse.
Im so very happy that planet Fitness is back open. As I walked in yesterday I was greeted with the same friendly faces and made to feel right at home again. Thanks for giving me a great experience on your reopening.Stephanie
Why is it they are the only gym not open 24 hours n still make you wear a mask????? Suppose to be 24hrs and not opening till 5am on weekdays and 7am weekendsπ‘Only good thing about this place is the tanning beds and massage chairs

Extremely poor customer service at this location. When attempting to cancel membership, they refuse to cancel and continue to draft money for your banking account. After dealing with the issue for going on 2 years of trying to stop membership and speaking with an employee this afternoon, the male individual just laughed at me when I informed him of the 2 year long ordeal. He literally laughed and stated good luck with that. What an absolute disgrace for customer service. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!!

Dont know about all the locations but the Albemarle location is great. A super friendly staff that makes it a little easier to go on the days you might be tempted to skip. Very clean and well maintained equipment.
Its very affordable and the staff are very helpful. You can tan, work out, shower, and even get a hydro massage once you are done! Based on you membership you can even bring a guest as much as you want for free! They always have promotions going on so there is no excuse not to check them out!
Friendly staff, clean, and I love that my teenage daughter and I can work out together.
Emily is the manager of this facility and she is very unprofessional.I simply as for the district managers name and she gave me a very hard time. I canceled this membership 30 days before the Covid pandemic started and they are still charging me. I would never recommend anyone to go to this place and get a gym membership.

Absolutely love my times at PF! All the employees are super and go above and beyond. Albemarle PF is always clean, locker rooms are always in excellent condition and equipment is taken care of. All cleaning stations are always full of cleaner/towels. Tanning areas are always clean. Hydro Massage areas are always relaxing and clean. Itβs a much better experience than other gyms in the area. I feel like I can comfortably work out without the macho BS that the other gyms have. PF is a great place and has helped me tone up and keep off the 120 lbs that Iβve lost over the past 3 years. Highly recommended!!
Planet fitness is a fun place to exercise. The hours are great...always open! There are plenty of machines (both cardio and weights) and it is very clean. I especially like how everything is all on one level and out in the open. It is not compartmentalized like some other fitness facilities and thereβs no stairs to travel up and down to get to different exercise activities like some other fitness facilities.
Great place nice staff.. i would recommend the black card membership..access to the hydro and massage chair are worth the extra money. Plus being able to bring a free guess every visit..

The staff is great atmosphere is wonderful the music they play should be a variety instead of just the music from the younger generation. The older generation donβt like to hear the music they play. I think you should play country and easy listen music. During the day you have the older generation in the gym. So please play a variety of music

Great gym, has all the equipment needed and is open 24 hours. Id like to note how friendly the staff is here, not once have I came to this gym without being greeted or wished a good day once I left. :)

After being told they didnt care about my medical exemption to the mask mandate ( NOT A LAW) We canceled our membership. That was also a huge issue because they make you come in to do it and want you to put on a mask even if you have an exemption. Use a local gym not a big chain they just want your money.
I came to the gym on 8/28/19 a at 10 pm for over an hour 11:15 to 12:15 no one was at the front desk there were multiple people waiting and no one to be found. I theeven called the front desk multiple times. The janitor finally found the associate working and he was passed out in the break room. When he came out of the break room he honestly looked like he was stoned and had no idea where he even was . This is unacceptable π‘ multiple people came in never being checked in due to no one being up front and the girl waiting to tan left very upset . I love coming to this gym but I do not feel this person should be working here if they arent going to do their job.
The staff is unbelievably friendly, helpful, they keep p/f spotless from the machines to the showers. Great place to workout and feel no pressure.

I love how this place can be super packed and everything and everyone works together in a rhythm. The staff is so happy and enjoyable to talk to and helpful with anything you need. I adore the 30inute work out section and the variety or cardio machines!!

Extremely affordable and Hannah is a wonderful trainer. I usually attend 5-9 classes a week and she quickly makes adjustments for me when a particular move is difficult for my old knees or bad shoulder.
