All the conversations felt straightforward and honest, unlike experiences we had at some larger national dealerships. We ended up with a great deal and feel confident having bought from here. Two fantastic experiences, both from tire purchase and from vehicle purchase perspective. Will definitely do business in both again. The entire staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. And, in particular, Nate H. was on top of every interaction & item with commitment, consistency, and the type of core competencies one would expect from a 5-star business. Took ownership of matters and followed up with us on anything he delegated. And most importantly, both products from the tires for 2 cars, as well as the Ford Escape, were great. I never leave reviews, but my experience was bad enough that it warranted one. This dealership must pay for good reviews, the owner and management here is some of the rudest I’ve seen. Do yourself a favor, skip walking in or calling and try one of the dealerships next door, or drive 4 hours, just don’t waste your time here

This is by far one of the best dealerships in Albemarle, it is one of the cleanest and nicest ones I have been to. The staff was incredible, I had inquired about a vehicle and was shortly answered by Kevin (Salesman), he answered my questions promptly and I made an appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Caitlin and she was sweet and showed me the car and they did not seem rushed to get me in and out. Lastly, during the final process of the deal, the general manager Nate gone to detail about the expenses and made me feel very confident with my purchase.

We had a great experience here! It’s a smaller owned dealership, so it felt less like a corporation and more like real people. We worked directly with Kevin Su who is such a nice guy! The rest of the staff was great too. Thanks guys! We love the car!

This dealership went above and beyond in getting my current car serviced, they do oil changes and the whole nine yards!! Basically a one stop shop! After their awesome customer service, I decided that it was time for an upgrade for a car and Rick helped me one that was within my budget and didnt seem to haggle or try to push me in to buying the car! I felt like he was honest and trying to help me find a car that would suit my needs not just trying to sell me something! Definitely very personable and not your typical pushy sales men here!! Best dealership experience I have ever had. I spoke with Marko about financing a car for me, he did everything in his power to get me a great price and ensure that all the numbers were set in stone before I drove from Virginia. Upon arrival I test drove the car and everything was exactly as described. It was a smooth transaction and Marko made sure that everything was taken care with nothing left for me to worry about. 740 motors was a great place. I bought an affordable dream car of mine for a great deal. Rick and Nate are both really cool guys. They put up with a hundred questions that I had and even put the car on a lift for me to look it over with a fine tooth comb. They took care of all the paperwork and boring stuff for me and I got to drive home in a brand new Mini Cooper S!

I do not recommend renting a car from this company. While renting a vehicle from 740 Motors fleet, the vehicle was unfortunately involved in a minor accident when a car backed into the car at night. The accident happened on private property and caused very minimal damage to the front right bumper. Information was collected for the rental agency to file a claim to repair the car. Just to reiterate, the accident caused very minimal damage to the front bumper (no dents, just a few small scrapes).Instead of business turning the claim into insurance, money was taken from the customer to cover the cost of the repair up front. The dealership claimed it was standard practice in the industry for the customer to contact the insurance of the company directly to be reimbursed the money that the dealership charged the customer.Upon the customer contacting the insurance company to be reimbursed, the insurance company asked that they dealership take the vehicle to get an estimate for the damage done to the bumper so that they would be authorized to pay back the customer. The dealership is now refusing to do so as to keep the accident off of the carfax report and will not contact the insurance company back.In short, unless you want to deal with a shady dealership that is willing to screw the customer out of money. Just save your time and money and rent with Hertz or Enterprise (or any reputable brand for that matter).*Just to note: the rental process was great up until the time of returning the vehicle. The dishonesty and lack of integrity on the dealerships part is what merits the one-star rating*

Unfortunately another shady used car lot. Customer service is lacking. Another reviewer put it very well. They stated that if youre a weak person and willing to let someone take advantage of you then this is the used car lot for you. If youre a strong person willing to make a reasonable offer then this is not the place for you. I review a lot of places and that has allowed me to become a higher level user on Google maps. So I hope my opinion matters for some of you. I did not end up purchasing a vehicle from this place due to the entire mentality here. Im sure the owner will eventually reply to my review and attempt to justify everything. If you are reading this then go and read some of the other 1 star reviews and see for yourself how nasty and unprofessional the responses are from the owner. Also if you look at how detailed all of the 1 star reviews are compared to the short 5 star reviews then you will begin to see the whole picture. Really disappointing since I really liked the car but I guess Ill have to take my business elsewhere.

I bought a car here and was very pleased with the service and the price.

First off, Ric helped us immediately. The car was $1000 above what I had seen online, and it was absolutely no problem, it was the “internet price” that I’ve actually never heard of before. We brought the car that day! The next day, within 24 hours of buying the car, the engine light was on and the car was behaving quite weirdly. We took it over, and he helped us immediately. They took it over to the Ford dealership to get it looked at and made sure it was being made a priority. He gave us a free rental to use because of the inconvenience. 740 Motors truly bent over backwards to make sure everything was convenient. The problems with the car was absolutely no fault to Ric, it was actually a recall from Ford that wouldn’t be known unless taking the car fully apart and by a Ford mechanic. David, the service manager at Joe Maus Ford was also great. Would definitely buy another vehicle again, hopefully with better luck. I won’t get my car until next week, but the rental they gave us is still free of charge!

I havent had the pleasure of buying a car here yet, but when I did come to the lot to look around I was greeted within a few minutes by a very nice man, I didnt get his name but it might be the owner. I have however had the pleasure of having my car worked on here and have never had a problem. Service was fast as possible but also done right the first time. I recommend all my friends with imports and high end vehicles to definitely go here for any work. Hopefully within the year I will be back to buy a used car. And as for the negative reviews, I wouldnt stress it, some people care about them and some dont. I prefer to make my own opinions. Best of luck to everyone! And thank you 740!

We recently purchased our Toyota Sienna from 740 Motors and could not be HAPPIER!!! We are absolutely in LOVE! It was amazingly clean and it runs like its brand new. Our salesman was Rick, and he was wonderful! He was very helpful, honest, and he had such a great personality! It is impossible to find good loyal customer service these days but this place has got the whole package. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great car with amazing service to go with it.

My car buying experience was great. Unfortunately my starter went out less than 2 months later. I went back to the dealership and was given the run around as far as them helping me or at least meeting me halfway. The salesman is yet to call me back with the owners number. I know I purchased this vehicle as is but their tune quickly changed once I wanted some assistance with the maintenance. I will surely Be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!!

I purchase a Audi Q5 from 740 Motors this month. The first time I received a call inquiring about the Audi, I spoke with Mike Cameron and told him about my situation I was in which was a bad car accident. And when I say Mike really build a report with me and he also listened. We came up with a plan for me to come and test drive the car. I’m an hours and 17 minutes from Albemarle, NC. When I say I builded a comfortable and trustful relationship with Mike it was very different from other salesman’s I have came across and spoken with about others Audi Q5. Mike was so kind and so funny and fun to work with. I also respect the fact when I bought the car and I realized driving the car home that day and the next day that car needed alignment done. The day I test drove it, I didn’t really realized it at first. But I email and called Mike to let him know. So took my car back there and Nate Hoekman, my cousin and myself went on a another test drive. Nate drove the car to see if it needed the alignment and he agreed with me 100%. So they got it done and FREE at charge and I drove it and it was fine to go. They customer service at 740 Motors was great and y’all have too go shop or take your cars to get fix there as well. I’m about to have my car for a month and I haven’t had any problems with my Audi. So I really feel that I did a great job finding and purchasing my car from Mike Cameron. I purchased a Lexus RX 350! Very reasonable prices and very nice cars! Ric was wonderful to work with and Jeff rode with me because they dont ride with you when you test drive and I didnt feel comfortable test driving by myself since I am from out of town and didnt know the area well! Do not recommend renting a car from this dealership, honestly wouldnt even trust buying a car from this deanship. They dont report accidents on their rental cars to insurance so they can avoid tarnishing the Carfax report. If you take a stand against their corrupt business practices, they will lie and make loud accusations (in front of customers and other unrelated parties) tarnishing your personal and professional character. Disappointing to see a dealership with so much potential treat their local and loyal customers so poorly. This is no way to run a business. I have first hand listened to them degrade customers rather than work to find a solution thats suitable for all parties. The owner will lie and take any action, moral or not to make a penny.***In regards to your comment, that is not accurate. when I have time I sit and review multiple. Untrustworthy!I called this dealership to check the availability of a vehicle listed on their website. The salesman, Mr. Morrison, told me the car was available and took my contact information. I discussed that I would be driving an hour (one-way) to come see the vehicle and would be there in a few hours. When I got to the dealership, I was told that the vehicle was being detailed as another customer was currently at the bank to get a check to purchase it. I was very disappointed that Mr. Morrison did not have the courtesy to contact me that he had made a deal with another customer while I wasted my whole afternoon driving there on a day I had off from work.Worst of all, another salesman told me It aint sold til the money hits the table. He told me that if I could run to the bank and get back with the money first then I could buy the car. I cant believe anyone would do that after they had negotiated a deal with another customer who was currently at the bank to get the check.I would NEVER recommend purchasing a car from this dealer. If you do, you better come with the money in your pocket, because if you need to go to the bank theyll sell it out from under you and waste your time.

I STARTED OFF WITH A GOOD REVIEW BUT NOW I FEEL THAT CUSTOMERS NEED TO KNOW THIS AND BEWARE!!! I PURCHASED A 2005 PONTIAC GTO ABOUT A MONTH AGO, AS IS, NO WARRANTY. UPON ARRIVING HOME I DID NOTICE THAT THE ANTIFREEZE WAS EXTREMELY LOW AND THE CLUTCH FLUID WAS SOLID BLACK ( MEANING IT HAD NOT BEEN CHECKED OR CHANGED )AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER GO INTO GEAR. MY MECHANIC TOWED IT AND GAVE ME THE DIAGNOSTICS WHICH WAS A CLUTCH REPLACEMENT, FLUID FLUSH AND SLAVE CYLINDER. I HAD TO PAY 988.00, GRANTED MY CAR PAYMENT WAS DUE AT THE SAME TIME. I DID SPEAK TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT WHAT WAS GONG ON, HOWEVER, THEY DID NOT OFFER A HELPING HAND. I HAVE PURCHASED A FEW AS IS CARS BUT THE TECHS STILL SERVICE THE CAR PRIOR TO SELLING IT TO THE CUSTOMER. THERE WAS NO WAY ANYONE SERVICED THIS VEHICLE !!!! VERY DISGUSTED !!! BAD BUSINESS !!!

I had been researching a new vehicle for weeks last fall when, on a whim, I did an online seach and found this dealership. I saw the car type I was looking for and called the dealership. I spoke with a very nice man over the phone,he took my info and next thing I knew, I was driving to pick up my new car! It was SO simple! They even accommodated my schedule for pick up.After a month or two, I had an issue with the car, which turned out to be fixable, but when I called the dealership to follow up, they didnt just dismiss me. They wanted to help. This was my experience so Im happy to give them a high rating!

Just got off the phone. When I called them up to ask about pricing of a car that has been on the lot a long time I was rudely and abruptly hung up on with the comment of thats the price out the door, if you dont like it, buy somewhere else. After I had asked what all goes into the doc fee. I have had more than plenty of calls to dealerships when looking for cars and I must say, I have never received such treatment.If you are weak he will be nice, if you ask questions and see if the price is firm, he will be mean. Buy from somewhere more professional where you dont feel how you are treated is a second priority.And for the record I did like the price, but I did not like him.

When buying the car they were very nice but the car they sold me is an absolute lemon I took it back to them at first to see if they would fix it they said they looked at it nothing was wrong here I am 6 months later with a $1500 service bill and thats just so they can fix whats wrong to be able to diagnose the problem I paid $10k for a car I expect it to at least make it to the 1 year mark.

I wish i could give this place more then 5 stars!A few weeks back i purchased a used vehicle from ANOTHER dealer NOT 740. Four days after my purchase the said vehicle broke down and could not be ran. I didnt know who to turn to because ive only been in NC for a short time and the dealer i purchased from was no help at all and just referred me to his Trusted mechanic. As i asked around someone referred 740. With no options left i contacted them and explained my situation. From the beginning they were very caring and knowledgeable. After agreeing to their help. They immediately set me up with a tow truck. The tow company as well very courteous and knowledgeable. After the tow they set me up with a rental and with out my request a rental that was equivalent to the vehicle i recently purchased. I was so happy - i have kids to haul and needed the space. They babied me and my vehicle the whole way. Considering it wasnt a vehicle i purchased from them and they were willing to help me as it was their vehicle says alot about this company! I didnt know who you guys were but now i do. I cannot thank you all enough for getting me and my truck back on the road so fast and efficient. She runs better then she did when i bought it. And they cleaned her :) i HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND 740!!!! great people

I bought a used Audi s4 here a few months back. I definitely expected a few problems but nothing like what is has been. I was told my car was looked over “with a fine tooth comb” after 5 DAYS it broke down on the highway, because “ex mechanic” Kris didn’t correctly install spark plugs and failed to notice a head gasket leak. Two stars is only because I like my car, even though I have spent $5k in repairs in the 7 months I’ve had it. Save yourself the hassle and go for dealership pre owned.Edit: yes it was cover gasket my mistake, but this is news I’m hearing of a warranty. As far as I was aware when I bought my car there wasn’t one.

Found a vehicle in cargurus and inquired about it. Fast and professional response. I was off work the next day, so my friend and I made a trip to the dealership, took us about 4 hours to get there. The staff was awesome, honest, and told me everything I need to know about the car. They even helped my friend out with his questions and concerns. I had some issues with my local lendmark transfering the check over from one state to another, but 740 Motors worked with me. Long story short, at the end of the day. Can I give less then one star? TERRIBLE, sold me a car that was dry rotted and had a transmission that slips and jerks, i’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it! I tried to go back and have a reasonable talk with Ric aboutk maybe trading it for a car that isn’t dry rotted and ruined and Ric calls the cops on me! Terrible business all around! They may have cars that look good but they get most of them from florida that have been in floods and are ruined! DONT TRUST THEM! Ric is a terrible man and does bad business! Don’t give your money to them!

I walked into 740 motors and thought I was at one of the premier new car dealerships in a much larger city. This was my first visit and buying experience and they provided modern, clean, crisp ammenities to the show room and office area.I received great welcoming service! I had made an appointment and deal before arrival so Kris, the Sales Manager, called me by name and politely asked me to give him a few moments to finish with another customer.When he was ready, we walked through the super clean garage/ service/ vehicle prep area to the vehicle I was there to see. It had been freshly washed and was waiting to be driven home.I felt like I was back at the dealerships I had visited with my Grandfather 30+ years ago, as Kris walked me around the outside of the vehicle and gave me the tire-kicking tour and shared all of the finer features and overall quality of the 2008 BMW X5 I was there to purchase.After, the outside walk-around and under the hood inspection, we mounted up for the test drive. Kris shared the details about the formidable features offered on this vehicle with great knowledge and confidence. I felt like I had done my homework, but still learned much about the X5. It drove as sweetly as he indicated and all that was left to do was signing the paperwork.As I said before I had made the deal before arriving so Kris had the paperwork ready to go and I was in and out in about an hour test-drive and all. I have had the vehicle just over two weeks, at the time of this writing, and have taken a longer round trip of over a thousand miles and the vehicle performed flawlessly.Kris has been great after the sale as well. He has always given generously of his time answered when I have emailed questions that I should have thought of and asked at the time fo the sale.Love the vehicle, but loved the buying experiece just as much. It may be a while before I buy another vehicle, but I will certainly look to 740 Motors when I am ready.

At the request of Marco he felt I should be a bit more descriptive with my review.Since I have spoken to Marco it seems they made me the deal of the century and I should have bought them dinner over this deal. I found this car on the web and called to speak to Chris. Chris provided me a price and when I advised this was a cash deal he further reduced the price. I then explained my budget and we agreed upon a number. Chris further stated in this call he potentially would be replacing 2 tires . Please understand this was a phone call conversation with nothing binding and I did not call back to say I was interested until several hours later. Chris said he would order the tires and let me know in a couple I days. Why are these details important to know? Marco has noted said he was upset with Chris for reducing the price on this car and that they had 4 other people lined up to buy this car.2 days later (Saturday) We bought a car here through Chris... deal seemed fine but when we got home we realized we had a key fob missing. I called the dealership the first business day after the sale and was told sorry we wont help. Said you should have included it in the deal. I inadvertently didnt realize there werent two fobs until I got home as the car was for my son. I called to talk to the owner (Marco) as per Mike, Marco stays pretty busy running his restaurant who refuses to take my call. Got a call from an older gentleman (Mike) that told me how he sold cars and how had he sold me this car he would have told me there were not two Fobs. I told Mike I wish he had been my salesman because then I would have known there wasnt a second fob. When I talked to Chris he said he would check to see if maybe there was a second fob but said he was at much fault as I on this. Later on when talking to Mike I suggested since they say they could get these fobs for 250.00 that we split the difference. I was told you should have addressed it before you left deal is done. Remember this statement - once you drove the car off the lot thats it the deal is done. This was what I was told when trying to come up with a compromise on the second fob.Mike is an older gentleman that seems pretty rough around the edges and is quick to tell you how you messed up. Dont try to reason with this guy because hes been in car sales so long that he will tell you had you dealt with me you would know all this. Chris seemed nice enough but when I asked for assistance on this issue his memory quickly became limited and I was surprised he even remembered my name. 2-3 weeks later I finally was able to reach Marco and all I can say is there are more than one side to a story. If you refuse to call a person back and then put someone on the phone to lecture the customer on how he has been in the car business over 30 years please take the time to listen to what the customer has to say or what they are asking.I am super glad that Mike and Marco have reminded me so many times on the great deal and how they lost money on this deal. Just seems very odd if you have 4 people lined up to buy a car with no paperwork on the one person why not go ahead and sell it to one of those 4??? And if they tell you its because of their word..... well let this review speak to their word.

Just bought an Avalon and couldnt make it down to purchase the car and it was delivered to my house by the lovely sales lady.

It was funny how I saw things were up the the car sp I ask for a lower price and the dealer gets made about it
