Too many damages. Very unprofessional. My belongings were loaded on a Allied Truck. Was assured it would not be moved. Guess what it came in a U Hall truck. Plenty of room for large trucks to delivery. He said it was his Discretion. However, different van lines had no problems.

I’ve used this company three times in the past ten years. From the first contact, they were responsive, provided a walk through and estimate in a timely manner that beat out all of their competition and scheduled my move in a reasonable amount of time. Care was given to all items to be shipped, the cost was reasonable and, upon arrival everything was brought directly to our new residence, placed where we wanted it, and everything was in good condition. I worked with Ideal Move on our recent move from Albany,NY to Rensselaer, NY. They do quote you high but if you don’t use the full time for quote, you won’t pay as much. Our move was completed in four hours for a 3 bedroom house.

Our experience with Ideal Allied was first rate beginning with the excellent presentation from Kelly. Kelly was most thorough and accommodating with preparing and following through with the move. We commend the company for enabling us to change the loading date because of inclement weather. The two crews, both loading and unloading were professional, thorough and knowledgeable. I have tried other moving companies and never been as satisfied as I was using the ideal move. Kelly actually came to the house and gave me a right on dollar amount estimate that I could count on. A lot of our items were high-priced or antique that I had them move and all were well wrapped and put together exactly as they were taken apart and nothing was damaged. We have relocated several times, internationally and domestically with very well established vendors. This time it was a domestic one, my wife and I agree it was very good experience from the start with our local coordinator who was very helpful, provided practical advice and a very competitive quote that reflected considerable savings. The packing and loading team and the delivery teams were professionals, know their business, flexible, helpful beyond their duties, courteous and easy to work with. We did not experience any damage to our household and one item that I thought was lost came in the mail a couple of weeks after.

Ideal Move took care of a local relocation, part of a larger move cross-country. I wish they were the people we hired to handle the long-distance leg of our relocation which didnt go so well. From the office, sales rep and movers, we were provided care, accuracy and timely service. We couldnt have asked for more. No, correct that, when in the new house, we did ask the movers help us by placing down an area rug under our bed which wasnt part of our contract. They obliged. Gladly recommend this company!

These guys were great. This is the first time I used a moving company, so I was not sure what to expect. My fiancee and I were moving from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apartment, and got a quote over the phone - which is usually not recommended but worked out fine for me. Two gentleman showed up at the appointed time and moved all our stuff into their roomy truck, my stuff only took up half of it. Very good with my large stuff, removing doors carefully and putting them back on. They wasted no travel time and actually beat me to my destination about 45 minutes across town. I had them just unload all of my stuff into the apartment so that I could unpack later. Completed in under 4 hours.I packed everything myself well in advance and organized it all in one room in the old apartment. I labeled boxes with what room I wanted things to go in, and I didnt try to unpack while the movers were there, just get the stuff into the new apartment. I made sure the movers knew I was in a hurry and had everything planned, and when they completed it in under four hours, they each got a nice tip. Would definitely recommend these guys for a cross town move! Ask for Dave and Rock.

There is no doubt this was the absolute best moving company I have ever used. From the start, with Kelly and the initial gathering of household inventory, she was a true professional and just a wonderful nice person.Then came packing day and the whole crew was straight forward and all in line with my needs of packing family goods with TLC. Moving day was actually pretty cool as they gently placed all the boxes carefully and skillfully in the truck as to leave no space empty. When the truck arrived some 800 miles later, all the contents were unloaded and placed in my new home without a single scratch or mar on the wall. That was also a first! But the best part is this was the first time ever in my life Ive moved and nothing was damaged, my hats off to all the crew who work for The Ideal Move!

This is the second time I have used them. They have always been the lowest rate, but they are efficient and reliable and always wrap my stuff with care. They do their work quickly and efficiently and i would definitely use them again.

Our move was from NY to NM and we had a full load! From Tom coming in and giving us our quote, who was great and very helpful on guiding and directing us since this was our first move professionally. We didnt know what to expect, he came back a second a time to the house to reassure me I had my questions and concerns taken care of before we went forward with the packers and loaders. Very patient and kind man!Dave the driver was exceptional! He came by early and tagged everything and then had it all ready for the next day for his crew to package and move to the truck! His crew was prompt and professional and quick! Dave kept in touch throughout our trip home and showed up on time as scheduled. He had a local crew with him in NM that were exceptional like the crew in NY and they finished the job in record time! Very impressed with Dave and his team! Very friendly bunch of guys! If I could give The Ideal Move 10 stars, I would. They meticulously packed our home and moved us long distance with ease. The team was thoughtful in the team they sent out based on the size of our move and did it efficiently and respectfully. They literally did not let me lift a thing and made moving so much less stressful than it usually is. I cant say enough good things about this team and this company. Morning of the move, the guys came and wrapped, numbered and packed everything quickly. Truck arrived in CA with my items within the promised time frame. Movers had me check off each item/box or furniture on list as it came off truck. They carefully unwrapped and placed in the designated spot. Nothing broken or missing. What more could you want?

I wish I could do half a star.....I guarantee the good reviews on this site are employees and friends of the owners.Worst of the worst experiences....Employees showed up smelling like a bar - too many people counting on my move that day or I would have cancelled it as soon as I smelled them- Items stolen- Items broken - and then to top it off they charged me for additional time. So much in between the lines on this one, but bottom line is RUN and do not look back. Every time I see one of their trucks I want to tell the victims to LOOK in the truck for your items even if they have closed it up ........Thieves who should be ashamed of themselves.

The movers did not show up for the appointment. Our contact would not answer texts or phone calls. I had to email every person listed on their website, including the President of the company. It took me 2 hours to get any response. The movers showed up 4 hours late as the company had to pull movers from another move. The movers were great - friendly, quick, and professional. This was incredibly stressful as our moving day was the last day we had to vacate the property. The movers told us that the order was never scheduled. The company did nothing to make up for their error. They still charged full price They did not provide any sort of discount (would have been happy with even a small 5% discount to acknowledge their error) or a discounted offer for a future move.

Moving from Albany, NY to Springfield, MO (or any long distant move) is traumatic and stressful enough but throw in a couple of medical issues less than a week before the move and I was not sure I could make it through the process. From the very first meeting with the Ideal/Allied representative, to the packing, co-ordinating, and finally to driver unloading my goods (Tom, Ron, Chris, Jimmy) they advised, supported, encouraged, assisted in every way they could with grace and kindness. I cannot thank them enough for all of their help and highly recommend to anyone planning a move. Do not hesitate to ask them questions and rely on their advice and you cannot go wrong.

I have been waiting for 6 weeks for delivery of my new furniture that has been in their warehouse for month now. They blamed the delivery wait on snow storms which never happened and on the fact that i live to far out to be profitable. I had been scheduled for delivery between 12pm and 4pm which didnt happen. The lack of communication is unreal. Im extremely displeased with the whole ordeal. No words other then I would never ever recommend this company.

We used Ideal Move today. We have dealt with movers before and we have never had a better experience. We had 3 movers, Rocco, Rob & Dave. They had a very large job to do (4 flights of stairs and a lot of furniture, appliances, and way too many heavy boxes moving into 3 more floors at the new place). They were friendly, professional, funny, and crazy efficient. The price that was quoted was fair to begin with, but they managed to get us moved in almost half the time expected, even though they had to take off a door and take apart a refrigerator to make it fit. I strongly recommend Ideal Move to anyone. I really want to thank those guys again for the great job they did. If you are moving, this company is your best bet.

I had to coordinate moving my mom’s belongings to another state, to her new apartment. We had a very tight time frame, and from the very first phone call Ideal Move (Allied Van Lines) was FANTASTIC! Within a few days they had Adam out to look over my moms things and give us a price and had set up a pickup time. They gave us a three day spread during which mom’s belongings would be delivered. When I asked if they could possibly deliver on one of the first two days offered, Barb in the office checked, called me back the next morning and said yes - and the actual delivery was the very day after the pickup! The driver and loader were efficient, careful, and thorough. Not to mention very friendly and personable.In fact, every single Ideal Move employee I dealt with was cheerful, helpful, informative, and friendly. When they said they would call me back, they did. When they said they would find something out for me, they did. When they said they would arrive at a certain time, they did. My brother and my mom met the truck at the delivery point, and they were both very pleased. All my mom’s belongings were packed, loaded, transported, unloaded, and taken into mom’s new home withs much care as possible.I called two other moving companies for pricing for this move. Ideal was not the least expensive. BUT they came and looked at the things to be moved and then gave me a guaranteed price quote. The other companies either gave me a price range or said it would be “around” a certain amount. Leaving lots of loopholes for the price to increase because they did not actually know what they were being asked to move. We have absolutely no regrets about using The Ideal Move. They were completely, totally fantastic from start to finish. I will also be moving next year, and without a doubt will use The Ideal Move.

Wonderful staff; careful and professional

WE had always used the ideal move in the past - I would advise against it.Do not use them f you have or are moving with hardwood floors.WE had our floors redone prior to moving to our new house, and while there were only a few large scratches to be redone there were many small scratches across the floors. What I saw was the movers sliding the heavy furniture across the floor countless times.Unfortunately , the vp, Todd chose to blame our dogs and our children with SPECIAL NEEDS for the scratches.On the plus side- the guy who came to give us an estimate was nice and the movers were nice too.The bottom line- After fighting this and receiving many rude emails from Todd, it will be taken to small claims court- what a shame and what a waste of everyones time. when you hire movers - you wouldnt expect this.

Dont go with The Ideal Move or Allied! They trashed my furniture and ripped up the new vinyl flooring that had just been put down in my apartment. They jerked me around regarding filing a claim, and after more than 3 months they paid me $65 when the move from NY to FLA cost $3789.41 an made ridiculous statements regarding the claim, after I treated their movers really well. Todd, the VP, is a very nice guy, but dont let that fool you. I even sent a receipt from my apartment manager for the flooring that needed to be replaced, $411, which Todd assured me would be covered by the insurance I purchased, but it was not because it was glued back together before the claim guy came, which was because they put me off for so long and I didnt want further damage done.Dont believe a thing they tell you. I paid through the nose even though I was a small move, treated them well, and got screwed. Now I am going to the Attorney General. Believe me, you dont want to go through this.

The packers were almost 2.5 hours late, and packed some things that were not supposed to be packed. Because I lived in Center Square, my things had to be moved from a smaller truck to the larger truck. It was raining the day they did this and many of my boxes and some of my furniture got wet. I had to wash several loads of my clothes as a result, and throw out some papers and books. They paid for the repair of my dining room table that was also damaged, but I spent days doing laundry.
